Motel 6

Sure!

This is directly across from the door of the room, with the bathroom door shut. One thing I don't like about the room is that the vanity is in the bathroom with the bath and toilet.

One other thing I wasn't fond of was the fact that the bar wasn't straight across but stuck out from the wall. Very minor inconvenience, though.

There is a LOT of storage space in the rooms. The large shelf on the left, the small nightstand between the beds, and what appears to be a small laptop workspace between the bed and the table (that's what I used it for, anyway). I love that the floors are laminate and not carpet. The floors were spotless, and I never worried about my socks turning black from a old carpet that hadn't been shampooed for decades.

Oh, and one more thing. Not sure if you are driving or flying.. however, parking is free at Motel6. If you use the ART shuttle to get to Disneyland, you can prepay for the daily passes at a significant discount and have them available for you at the front desk when you check in.

Hey, will you be at the Motel 6 over Labor day too?

We might see each other on the ART! ::yes::

Thanks so much for posting these!! They are very helpful! What kind of view did you have? Pool? is it close to the freeway? Should I ask for a non freeway facing room?

My room faced the freeway, but I never heard a sound once I had the door closed. Seriously, I loved the room. For the price I paid ($47 and change per night, I believe, in May) it was far more than I expected.

The Radisson in Buena Park, is $143.00 that weekend, YIKES!

Yesterday when I mentioned the Radisson it was available on Hotwire under Hot Rates for $67 for 8/31-9/3. Today I no longer see it listed. Deals go quick!!

There is still a way to get it for about $100/nt for that weekend. PM me for info.

Hello.. I am looking for a last minute hotel/motel and this just might work out.. What website did you book Motel 6 through with the discount? thanks!

Is there two different Motel 6 Anaheim.. Disney and West Disney Way? I google mapped it and there were two.. which one is the newly remodeled one?

The one closest to the park, Motel 6 Maingate is the subject of the pictures that I posted. I don't know if the other has also been remodeled or not.

Yes, Thank You CamoMama!
I have searched and searched, and this is the best deal for me, for Labor Day weekend... I'm looking forward to trying it!

Thanks for the great review of the Motel 6 and the pictures and link to the very funny and informative video!

I have been researching where to stay and narrowed it down to about 6 places and added this motel on the list.

I just read 7+ pages of reviews on Tripadvisor and there were only a few posts that were negative. Mostly thin towels, no bathroom door separating the sink from the shower area, no coffee/tea or refrigerator in the rooms. Most people really liked it for a budget motel, which it all you really need when you'll be out most of the day anyway.

Noise didn't seem to be an issue. A lot of praise was given to the front desk staff. The ART stops right outside.

From what I read there is coffee in the lobby during certain hours in the morning, did you happen to notice if there was also tea there or at least hot water (I usually travel with my own tea bags anyway LOL)?

At one time I liked to stay at Motel 6. After several bad experiences, never again for me!

Cool! this is me!

Please say hello!

There are rooms with refrigerators, for an extra $3 a night. The room quotes I have given above include the fridge.

There is tea and hot water in the lobby, along with powdered creamer. There is also a microwave and at least one machine that has rotating shelves of food for purchase.

The towels could be considered thin, but then again.. there are some hotel towels for me that are too thick. I usually need more towels then what is in the room so I get extra towels on check in and a hair dryer.

Noise has never been an issue for us and we've stayed in several rooms throughout the complex, including one facing the pool.

The front desk people are awesome. I had an issue on one stay where my room didn't get cleaned and I ended up without a clean for two days. They reimbursed us for one of those nights, which I felt was very generous as I hadn't even asked for one.

At one time I liked to stay at Motel 6. After several bad experiences, never again for me!
Your post matches your screen name ::giggles:: xoxo

The price quote says that the subtotal is subject to 17% tax. Which seems high to me. Are all the hotels in the Disneyland area subject to 17% tax? Are the tax rates cheaper in places like Buena Park? Cypress, etc.?
