Most Underrated Walt Disney World Experience

At MK: Tom Sawyer's Island and for food, the spicy chicken waffle at Sleepy Hollow (they stopped selling it at 5PM when we were there in Sept.)
At EP: Voices of Liberty and the other live entertainment in the World Showcase
At AK: walking the animal viewing trails. Saw the biggest gorilla that had us all shaking in our shoes! Also, kids loved the becoming Wilderness Explorers and getting the book stamped.
At HS: probably the Lights, Motor, Action stunt show. Am saddened to read that will be closing.

They no longer sell these. I really wanted to try one too.

I agree with the Living Seas aquarium. Sometimes we'll skip the ride and just do the aquarium

Carousel of Progress, Philharmagic, Tiki Room... All favorites. Well, except for DW who is not a fan of Tiki Room.

I am glad to know there are others out there like me.

Another favorite is a ride on the MK Steam Train. Classic! I guess it comes with growing up watching the Wonderful World of Disney.

Epcot Segway Tour! Sadly it is gone now... but it was soooo cool to enter the park through the IG long before park opening, stroll through a deserted UK and Canada into FW... (see my avatar photo!) Then to be on the fun segways through the empty countries was awesome... sigh....

I also really like the TTA (people mover), it is a must do for me... love it at night.

I have tea at the GF every time I go and I go twice a year. It's a reminder of when I was a little girl, my mama and I would dress up every Sunday and have grown up tea in our living room. My brother's weren't allowed in, in some of our houses (we moved a lot) we had a formal living room so that would be where we had it, if we didn't have a formal living room but had a dining room we would have it there. Mama would bake cookies and make a pot of tea with real tea leaves, since I have 5 older brothers it was really special for us. I got to go to the GF tea with her once before she died and it will always be a special place for me.

What a sweet story. Thank you for sharing. It reminded me how very fortunate I am to have these memories to share with my mom and daughter (it's usually just the three of us on our trips as our husbands don't do Disney.) Glad you got to have that experience with your mom before she passed.

Someone else mentioned Voices of Liberty in World Showcase, USA. I would second that! We make sure never to miss them and sometimes see them multiple times. We are choral music geeks, but they are so amazingly beautiful that I think anyone will appreciate them.

The kids just go nuts over the People Mover...not sure why. They can't understand why I like the Gran Fiesta Tour so much....and neither can I. :)
I'm so glad you brought up the people mover

I love People Mover..and for the life of me I can't figure out why I love it THAT much.

Last time I went with just my husband I rode it 3 times in a row while he went on Space Mountain (I like that ride but really only once a visit) and it was at nighttime (though we had ridden it multiple times earlier in our stay). It was great to sit down after a long day, there was enough breeze, the sun was setting and when it fully set while I was on it I got some good pics the few times the ride stopped long enough for me to get them. Maybe it's the fact that your're up in the air a little bit and can see more of your surroundings than you ordinarily would either way it's a ride I go on multiple times during my visit.

I have always really enjoyed the Carousel of Progress in MK. I feel like no one really appreciate the show/ride anymore.

One of my favorite all time rides and unfortunately I've had to miss it the last 2 years I've been. Last time I saw it was probably 2001 so very curious how, if at all, the more modern segment has changed. I think the little boy was playing with a VR device at that time which is pretty dead on considering personal VR is just starting to blow up.

I cannot go into Epcot and not ride the Gran Fiesta Tour, Living with the Land, and go watch the manatees for as long as DH will stand it. I can take or leave the mountains, Soarin, Test Track.. but do not get in the way of those 3 things!

Yep, we rode The Carosel of Progress 8 times. Keep in mind we were there for 10 days. :)

I wonder what it is that attracts kids our ages to the Carousel of Progress. I love it because many of the scenes remind me of my mom and my Grandmother's house (her house was built in the 40's and I swear in 2005 some of it still looked like the 40's scene in COP). The final scene reminds me of my childhood in the 80's. So it makes sense that I can relate. I can't figure out why DD likes it so much, but I am glad she does. We have the WDW CD and we listen to and sing along with There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow a lot in the car. It is a great, motivational way to start the day.

Love Tom Sawyer Island.

In Ak, my kids could spend half the day at the dig site and playground. I'm blanking on the name.

Fort wilderness and the boat to MK are another fav.
