Most romantic restaurant?

We're going to Disney for the first time ever next March. My parents will be joining us for a portion of our stay. So one night we'll be able to go out to dinner while my parents stay with the kids. Any suggestions for a great place to go? I'm interested in some place that has great food and a romantic setting. Also looking for something really fun to do without the kids (for afterwards).

The most romantic restaurant on property is Victoria and Albert's. You can search this forum or google for details on menu and price. Afterwards, you can sit on the beach and digest.

I would also add Ariel's, except it's been closed for 10 years.

There are lots of choices!! I will always remember a romantic dinner we had on our honeymoon at the San Angel Inn in the Mexico pavillion in Epcot. We asked for a table near the water and watched the boats go by. It was awesome. Another one is Chef de France (obviously in the France pavillion). We had a great table by the window and watched the mime from the back. We had our honeymoon ears on and he turned around and "included" us in the show a few times. The escargot was great, too!

For us, it is San Angel Inn, but we don't like fine dining! Too frou-frou for us.

Our favorite romantic meals in WDW have been BlueZoo & California Grill.
I went to V&A for a private function once & would love to get DH there, but have not yet. Someday.
Another place that is very romantic is Narcoossees timed for Wishes from the deck. I dined there with my son & was surprised at how lovely it was. The food is simpler than BlueZoo or CG.

I suggest BlueZoo or California Grill. If you choose BlueZoo, take a walk on the boardwalk following your meal.
If you dine at California Grill, try to time your meal for "Wishes."

In our experience our most romantic dinners were at San Angel Inn (by the water) and Bistro de Paris. More so than California Grill, in my opinion.

We're doing the same thing! My husband and I have been married for 6 years, we have 2 kids, he recently got home from a deployment, and he's been working over 80 hours a week since then, so I say we deserve a date night out!

This is what I did. I booked Le Cellier in Epcot for us, and for the same time booked my parents and kids at the 1900 Park Fare, so they have something to do while we are out, and I won't have to worry about one of my kids going missing because nana and papa are easily distracted and my children are crafty, lol.

I chose Le Cellier because my dh loves steak, and the food is supposed to be good, plus the World Showcase is very romantic after dark. I can't wait to have dinner without the critters and spend some romantic one on one time with my husband. Hopefully the kids will want to stay the night in nana and papa's room as well.

Thank you for all of the suggestions so far. It's very difficult for me to choose since I've never been there. I think the top 3 in the running at the moment are California Grill during Wishes (what time is the best time to get an ADR?), BlueZoo, and San Angel Inn.

I'm open to more suggestions though! I'll have to do some investigating of the restaurants listed above.

I suggest trying Palio for something a little off the beaten path

Just to prepare you also, DH and I went to the California Grill for a supposed romantic dinner a couple years ago. It was anything but. The place was sooo loud we had to talk into each others ear almost.

Not saying anything because I realize WDW is a kids place and I have 2 of my own. Just stating a fact since the OP was looking for a romantic place to eat.

CG is very loud, as are most of the WDW restaurants. I have to say, I was shocked at how sound carries in V&A! No little people, but you could hear voices from across the room, it just was acoustically off or something.

If the noise factor is an issue for you, BlueZoo is definately quieter. It's more off the beaten path, not on the dining plan, there aren't as many kids there, and certainly not kids who's parents are trying to stretch out a meal to 2 hours so everyone can view the fireworks from the roof. (There is always at least one family with kids melting down from a 2 hour dinner there in our experience - We just tune it out & focus on each other, but that's not always easy when you have some poor toddler who's been stretched to thin screaming at the next table & whose parents have long since stopped listening) I found less of that at Narcoossees, which I found made for a more relaxing, adult evening, even tho the food isn't as much to my tastes as CG.

Palio is also delightful, the food is delicious & it's quieter than other onsite restaurants. I haven't found it particularly romantic per se, unless you count getting Palio room service delivered to your room for in bed dining.

Yachtsman Steakhouse would be a wonderful choice as would Flying Fish. Both have great food and service.

Hands down, it's V and A's.

For a second choice, I recommend Citrico's, California Grill, BlueZoo, or Jiko.

But V and A's is definitely the most romantic.

There is always at least one family with kids melting down from a 2 hour dinner there in our experience - We just tune it out & focus on each other, but that's not always easy when you have some poor toddler who's been stretched to thin screaming at the next table & whose parents have long since stopped listening.

If this happens when DH and I are there in December for our anniversary, the parents will NOT be able to tune out what I say to them.

Actually, in all seriousness, I will ask for the manager to remedy the situation or we'll need a refund. A child's screams are designed to be listened to and most folks cannot tune them out. A few small outbursts here or there are expected, but long tantrums for anything more than a few minutes is intolerable. The child should be removed out of respect for other diners.

This is why I request "Away from children" when I'm seated by a host or hostess. They always give me a knowing nod.

I'm fairly certain that Palio is closing in the not-too-distant future. I may be wrong, but I don't think so. The replacement has not been announced at this time.
