Most Romantic Resort

Which do you think is the most romantic of the Disney resorts?

What I believe to be the most romantic is GF. I have yet to try it out. (will be there in December though!!!) Honestly..my DH and I stayed at POFQ for our honeymoon and it was SO ROMANTIC! We had a room right beside the water. It was quite and we could take a carriage ride by the water, or walk over to POR (which was Dixie landings at that time) The grounds are beautiful!!!! Also, the resort is very small..so you don't have the usual big crowds.

DW and I think the WL is pretty romantic, as is the Polynesian. Both of those resorts are great for romance, especially at night. Of course, any DVC 1 bedroom has a 2 person jacuzzi tub...so that is pretty romantic IMHO...I'm just saying...

I went to POFQ 15 years ago on my honeymoon and I loved that, but I think CBR is great for lovers. Very romatic and tranquil.

For me it is the Polynesian... we stayed there for our honeymoon. Every person probably has their own idea what is romantic too, so I bet you'll get tons of different answers.

DH and I honeymooned at the WL and watching the sunrise over the lake was wonderful, nice and quiet with the critters moving about. I think that POR is nice too, some like the mansions but we prefer AB for it's landscaping.

Just trying to get some different ideas. I've been looking at some of the other resorts and was just wondering what everyone thought. I'm not sure I want the studio at VWL anymore , maybe a code will come out and we can up it to a 1 bedroom for our wedding night. Or maybe hope for an upgrade... dunno how often that happens at the DVC resorts though.

For most romantic, i would say GF or the Polynesian. Both have wionderful features about there resorts. From a piano in the GF lobby or the Waterfall in the Polynesian, its a hard choice.

I like dark - so Polyn, WL and AKL.

if you like light - GF, BC, BWI

moderates PO - either R or FQ or CSR

GF hands down. We were there for my parents Anniversary and they were given free shampagne and free autographs. The look of MK in the morning sunrise is amazing and the atmosphere is very relaxing, the most of all the resorts in WDW and it was the most accomadating so I would say Disney cant do better than GF.

Now, how do you get romance out of Pop?? I don't get it....

Romance is a real hard thing to make at the # 1 family destination in the world. It's possible, but for me POFQ wins hands down.

No, not really. Was just looking at the pictures and being wishy, washy. I think hearing that the 1 bedrooms have a jacuzzi tub got to me, lol.
I just want our only night without anyone else there to be as special and romantic as I can make DW. I'd actually really like to hear what you think when you go, if you don't mind.
More than likely, we'll stick with it. I'm always changing my mind about something, hehe, then changing it back.

If money is not a problem try GF. If you need a moderate try POFQ. Both are beautiful. You may want to get the private dining experience at GF. Very romantic. Talk with your CM about arranging something special where ever you stay.

well everyone is different. It has a lake - so night and early morning walks by the lake.

at night it is lovely when all lite up - not beautiful the way WL is - but lovely.

and some people have to stay on a budget even on their honeymoon.

I would definitely prefer Pop to the All star. but that is me.

I'm sorry DisneyGuess, I didn't read your message carefully enough, and I see now that you're talking about just the one night, and I don't blame you!!!! I would want it to be superspecial too!!!! I've never stayed at VWL so I can't compare (yet) but I stayed at GF in 1994 and thought it very lovely. It's so sunny and bright and elegant and classy. VWL sounds more LL Bean-y, which is great too, but GF would probably be more romantic for a wedding night.
