Our older DS is super smart (we wonder where he came from) and he knows where DL is and he already asked "Mommy, when you and Daddy are in California are you going to DL?" I was able to distract him with another subject, but we know its only a matter of time before he asks again!

You could always say it is closed while you are there.... you are just going to the beach or something....or just keep changing the subject

DH and I just went to celebrate our anniversary w/o the kids 3 weeks ago. We thought it was going to get ugly when we told DD7 we were going to Disneyland. She had absolutely no problem with it, although it probably helps that she knows we are going next month to celebrate her b-day. So there is the solution....just plan another trip with the kids! (easier said than done I am sure )
