Most Overrated Restaurants

I agree with Boma. I was so excited to try the zebra domes as I am a huge chocolate lover and was soooooo disappointed. The one soup was very good but the others were just okay and the rest of the food was nothing special to me at all.

I actually REALLY enjoyed our breakfast at Chef Mickey's and would definitely do that again.

We were not impressed at all with the food at the 1900 Park Fare dinner either and this past trip we were not impressed with akershus breakfast at all or Tusker House breakfast.

I wasn't overly impressed with Ohana. The food was OK, but definitely not worth the price. I don't get all the rave reviews. :confused3

I agree with what many here have said. Chef Mickeys, Garden Grill and Coral Reef for sure. I don't agree with Le Cellier. I love the filet there and the pretzel bread, not to mention ending my meal with Crème Brulee. We won't blow 2 credits on it though, it will be an OOP meal for us.

Easliy O'hana's. The food was forgettable and the waitstaff couldn't be bothered.

'Ohana is hit or miss. When it's good, it's really good and vice versa. Any restaurant at GF, with the exception of Narcoosee's is vastly overrated and snooty to boot.

I, too, do not get the fascination with cheese soup, pretzel bread, and a steak. Le Cellier is the restaurant I'd pay the most to avoid.

Oh wow it's so funny how opinions vary! We actually love Ohana and Boma! Worst meal i've ever had at WDW was Hollywood & Vine. I would also agree that there is no way that Le Cellier is worth 2 credits on the dining plan.

Love Raglan Road and Kona too. Chef Mickey's....not so much.

Flying Fish at the Boardwalk. Not terrible, but way over-priced and over-hyped. But we haven't eaten there in quite awhile so things may be better now.

Eating at WDW is becoming a bigger part of our vacation then visiting the park attractions. While I can say I have never really had a bad meal, or terrible service, I see on here so many that do. Most of the TS restaurants work at capacity all day. That is constant. So I can understand why so many places are considered hit or miss. That being said my worst meal was at 50s PT. Not that the food was terrible, but our Wait staff just wasn't any fun and that why we chose to eat there

For us, Kona felt overrated. Cold bread, cold LAVA cake and our server was less than attentive. Our entrees were pretty good (huge portions!), but it didn't live up to its better-than-'Ohana reputation I've read about here.

We have been disappointed with meals at Brown Derby, 50's Prime Time, Rose and Crown, Boma, and Kona.

We love Via Napoli for pizza...very surprised so many people listed it.

Never been to. Walt Disney World steakhouse....we love Ruth's Chris Steak House and are sure the WDW ones would not compare.

I have heard this about Coral Reef....yet we scheduled it for our April trip. My hubby and kids have never been and we are planning a morning in Epcot sticking with activity centered around the land/seas area. Hope to be pleasantly surprised.

I think Artist Point meets or exceeds expectations.

BOG lunch....great atmosphere and experience. We enjoyed our meal here but it was not one of the best of our trip.

Not sure if it's considered a restaurant or not but Earl of Sandwich.

I love the variety of responses! Shows that each experience is unique. My list would be Sci-Fi and Whispering Canyon.

If Sci-Fi showed actual movies we might have liked it a little more - all they showed were commercials. Food was blah. But some friends loved it.

Whispering Canyon was a big disappointment. The food was cold and all of it (even dessert) tasted like mesquite. If your a fan of that flavor you will really like it

Hands down the answer is Via Napoli - 20 bucks for a personal pizza and another15 or so for a salad to share ... That's about $1 and 50 cents worth of food for $35 . The Italian beer runs you 9 more bucks and its mediocre. The food is pretty good but can't help to feel ripped off after getting the bill .. I know it's Disney but come on !

So, funny, my husband and I can't believe how cheap via Napoli is. We say the salad is exceptionally cheap lol. The prosciutto is some of the best I have ever eaten and the cheeses are delicious. It's technically a salad but there isn't any iceberg lettuce in sight. :-)

My least favorite is y&y -- to me that tasted like mall food court Asian food.

Probably not going to be popular, but after eating at 90% of the dis restaurants, my family was not impressed with Be Our Guest. The atmosphere was good, but the food wasn't worth the price of admission. We've also had issues with the whole Tusker House Breakfast experience (although the food wasn't too bad) and the Crystal Palace is just too chaotic without food to back up the madness.

On the flip side - some of our favorites are Raglan Road and Cape May for breakfast. I also think the pizza at the Pinnochio Village Haus is underrated and I've never had an issue in 3 visits to Via Napoli.

grossly overrated - le cellier (service is good, but food is, at best, average)

worst food (& service) - rose & crown (sooooo incredibly bad - absolute worst in all our WDW dining experiences, since WDW opened). their only saving grace is the great view of illuminations (a WDW server told us should and do people drink - a lot - before eating there....then the food isn't so bad :thumbsup2)

My immediate reaction is Pecos Bills and Cosmic Rays.

With honorable mention to

Crystal Palace - NOISE, MAYHEM, messy buffet and mediocre food. Great character interaction though

O'Hana -- I've tried 3x. Meat was cooked to death and service was distracted and poor each time.

Special note re: Le Cellier - only eaten there once. The meal and service were both very good but I swear I don't see the appeal of the soup or out-of-a-box bread sticks. And it's not worth the current pricing for me to go back.
