OK, I know there have been threads like this before - but I'm leaving in a week and getting so excited! - this will get me even more in the mood.

Our MMM at WDW was when we decided to ride BTMR just as the MK was closing. We were staying for an E-night.
Right after the ride started, the MK fireworks started and it was such a thrill and totally exhilarating experience to be hurtling around the track while the fireworks were lighting up the sky! On later trips, we've managed the same experience, although the spontaneity of the first time was really magical!!

How about your MMM? :D

Most moments spent at WDW are magical... but one of the most magical ones I can think of is from our last trip. In Dec 2000 we went and left a Legacy at Epcot. It was cool getting the card and pictures in the mail but when we returned in Oct of 2003 it was magical to see them in the wall and to think that we left that three years ago! It's even more magical to think that we can take our friends and family to see it too.

I think I visited us every time we went to Epcot - "Look! There we are!" I like to think that I'm always at WDW!

I am voting for the MK fireworks at night...it was our second or third night there, and my boyfriend and I were standing under the train station...of course, we were holding hands, and when
the fireworks started with the music, I just couldn't believe how I felt! It was the greatest feeling being there with him and seeing the show!

When we were there this January, we were waiting for Toon town to open....we had no idea that they did anything special for that. Pretty soon up walked Pooh and the gang! There were only like 6 people waiting, and Pooh reached out and took DD-6 and DD-4's hands and walked them in! I have these great pics of that. Then we said goodbye to Pooh because there girls wanted to see Minnie's house. We stepped in and low and behold there was Minnie! That was a cool surprise too! Soon after that we came upon Cindrella outside the Judges tent. She visited with the girls a bit and then asked them to "escort" her to her area in the Judges Tent. Wow! Awesome character interaction totally unplanned and unexpected. I will never forget it.

I've mentioned this before in previous posts but it happened for me in 1994 as my husband and I walked down Main Street with "When you wish upon a star" playing in the background and our six month old son in his stroller grinning up at us.

We had suffered numerous miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy so to finally be there with our child was unbelievable. Our first visit to WDW was in March 1992 following the ectopic. It was like a tremendous weight was lifted on my shoulders when I wandered around the parks. We visited again in September 1992 following another miscarriage. Already had our third visit booked for May 1993 by which time I was expecting!

On our last trip last year we were taking our DS for his first birthday trip and his first trip to WDW. We arrived at FtW late in the afternoon and got settled with our friends and their daughter. We were visiting at a low season point of the year so there were not going to be many opportunities to see the fireworks while we were there, in fact that evening was the only time during our trip they were having them. After much deliberation because the children were tired and in a new place we decided to go ahead and just head over on the boat to MK and see if we could see the fireworks from the dock.

We got off the boat and got to talking to a CM about where we should go to be able to see the fireworks since we didn't want to waste a ticket at park closing to just go in and see the fireworks. Without saying a further word to us, the CM brought us to the gate and ushered us into MK saying your children's first experience seeing MK fireworks should be the right way - stand at the center of Main Street and enjoy. Oh, my! I almost cried. There we were standing with all the Main Street lights around us as the fireworks began looking straight up Main Street at the castle. It was amazing and our children and my DS absolutely loved it. This was such a magical moment for me because while I was growing up we never stayed into the eveing at MK because we always were staying out at the beach so I had never gotten to experience Main Street at night as I was growing up and now here I was experiencing this magical moment with my DS and DH for their first times too. This was the best way to start what would be the best WDW vacation I have ever had! :wizard: :lovestruc

Our most magical moment happened during our last trip in December. We had been at Disney for about 4 days already when we went to see Mickey after touring his house. My DS(5) was so excited and went up, posed for the picture, had the big guy sign his autograph book and started to walk away. He stopped dead in his tracks, waited for the child who was with Mickey to walk away and told Mickey "You have such a beautiful place here, Thank you for letting me visit and I hope you will let me come back soon". In that moment, I felt like my DS had given me such a gift....

mine was when my daughter met Belle. This was the one main character she wanted to meet. We had just missed her but was told she'd be back in about 10 minutes. We waited and waited. It was shockingly cold that day and her poor little fingers were frozen. Finally out came Belle and Beast. By this time a crowd had formed, but Belle took such time to talk to her. She asked my daughter her name, which is Danielle but we've always called her Belle. Everyone in line started saying how cute she was, etc. Belle signed her book, gave it a little lipstick kiss, and gave her a big hug. Beast engulfed her. LOL. Then she told my daughter it was chilly outside so she was going to ask everyone to follow her to her library and asked my daughter to walk with her. In my pictures, you can see my daughter is about to cry.

This whole thread is making me cry. :goodvibes

Where is Belle's Library?

We loved going to story time - it really was magical also. We too were with a little girl who just loves Belle and was so enamored with her upon meeting her.

Our family (myself, DH, 2 DDs and my sister) went back in May of 2000. My parents and in-laws joined us for the last 2 days of our trip to surprise my oldest DD who was celebrating her birthday on our last day. My parents are not Disney people at all...I can't believe I actually convinced them to come but I suppose the love they have for the grandchildren knows no bounds!

The first day they joined us was spent at EPCOT and I had PS for Rose and Crown that evening hoping to get a table on the patio for Illuminations. DH pestered those poor people all through the day (this was back before seating was first-come, first-serve....I think DH was the reason they changed it!), but persistence paid off because we had 2 tables out on the patio with a perfect view. My Mother was indifferent about the whole thing because she always claims she hates shows, shows are boring, she doesn't get into that kind of thing, etc. etc. She reminds me of a jaded teenager sometimes. Now, Illuminations is my favorite show at WDW, but I couldn't decide which was better: the show itself or the look on my Mother's face while she watched. Her eyes were as wide as saucers and her mouth was wide open in a look of pure astonishment! Afterwards, she kept saying 'I've never seen anything like that in my life!'

We're going back in about 1 month and there's nothing I'd like more than for my parents to come down again even if just for a few days. She very sick with cancer, though, so it's extrememly unlikely, but I have PSs for 7 instead of 5 just in case. I keep hoping for a miracle because I'd love to make some more magical memories with them.

The first time we took our 2 youngest--2.5 yrs and 5 months at the time. We took the 2.5 yr oldto get a haircut (which he hated, lol) he was crying the whole time. Some managers were walking around the park and came into the Barber shop. One saw my ds so upset he came over and talked to him to see if he could help out and gave my ds a pin for being brave. It was so sweet of him.
Its the little things like that that really make such a wonderful place.

Ours was a princess moment too. My DD, then 4, really wanted to meet Cinderella but we were unable to get CRT ressies. (She wasn't disappointed b/c we didn't tell her it was an option). We met Belle after storytime and visited Ariel's Grotto (who delighted DD by calling her little brother a "guppy" when he didn't want to meet Ariel himself), but it looked like we were only going to remember Cinderella from a parade float. On our last day, DH took DD to ride the Barnstormer while my mom and the little ones did some last minute souvenir shopping at the Judge's Tent. We met them at the front door, and I noticed one of the empty character lines was for Cinderella! I grabbed DD and we were first in line! Five minutes later, we were in the room with her. I'm not sure who was more excited, DD or me who snapped pics while we got lots of time visit since we had been the only ones in line. After that, we boarded the train and left the parks for the airport. We knew it wouldn't get any better than that.

One of our magical moments happened last april in Epcot, we had been n Alfredos for lunch when my DS(then 10) tooth fell out...it ruined his lunch and he was miserable....after lunch Louie G was performing in Italy and chose my DS to help him....he did tricks and spun plates on his fingers and on the tall sticks...he was sooo pleased with himself and got a great reaction from the crowd.

It made his day and was a hightlight of our trip.

We were lucky enough to go 2 times in 2002. First time in May and then again in December. On the last day of our May trip we went to MK for a half day before we hit the road. DD2 and DS4 were miserably sad. It was their first trip, and they hated to leave. My heart ached for them. Finally we had to bite the bullet and head for the exit. As we were up by the fire station, we decided whats another 10 minutes and decided to watch the parade one last time. Since we were right at the end of the route, we got a spot right on the rope. As the parade was coming to an end right in front of us, DS got pulled into the parade, and got to dance around with the characters. Spirits were lifted, and it made leaving a tad bit easier.

The second one, during the December trip. Same situtation, last day blues were very thick. Made even worse because we were able to take the trip with grandma and pop, and all the cousins. Bad thing is they left early in the day. So not only did they have to say goodbye to Disney, they had to say goodbye to everyone else. We decided to do EPCOT that last day, since Test Track became the favorite ride during this particular trip. As we were leaving everyone was about as low as you can get at Disney. We were standing in the mono-rail line, silent and sad. We had to get back to the Poly to get to the car. The mono-rail pulls up, and a CM comes over to the line, opens the gate and walks past about 25 people to get to my DS and DD. Doesn't say a word, takes them by the hand and walks them up to the drivers seat. They were beside themselves. I had heard about this through these boards, but never attempted to ask for it, nor did I even mention the possibility of it to anyone. To top it off as we were rounding the bend headed towards TTC, the fireworks went off over the MK. It was a perfect view, and a perfect ending.

If I had any doubt about the magic before, I certainly don't now.

considering my honeymoon at WDW in 1999 was like heaven on earth, but....
DH and I took DD1 for a 1st birthday trip to WDW (after having a disney b'day party at home). We did not know what to expect at her age-it could have gone either way. Luckily for us, DD1 had a better time than we could have ever imagined. If I had to pick one specific moment, it would have to be our breakfast at the castle with DD in her Cinderella costume, crown, shoes, wand, and all. Cinderella came over to the table to take a picture with her mini-me (DD has blondish hair and blue eyes), and asked if she could "borrow" DD for a minute. Well, Cindy took DD and gave her a cute lipstick kiss on her cheek, then ran over to Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, each of whom also gave her a bright lipstick kiss on her face! We didn't wash this off the entire day at MK, and actually got part of it on video!
I hope our next trip is as magical....princess:

this is funny because we did almost the exact same thing. On our last day, just before we were going to leave I asked dd what the very last thing she wanted to do was. Cinderella. When we finally got up to met her, I was so excited like you. I went to take a picture and forgot to turn on the camera. Cinderella, being the princess she is, put her fingers to her lips and giggled like a schoolgirl while my dd explained I was just a silly mom. I was laughing so hard. Of course this is another disney moment that we didn't catch on video.

p.s. to castlegazer who asked where Belle's Library was. In Epcot, France. Right across from the perfume shop. It's really pretty - I actually wished I had seen it before Belle came because I would have liked to take some pictures of dd looking around.

Our second visit to wdw my ds who has Aspergers and some other issues was having a difficult trip. He was very afraid of the characters and refused to get close to any of them. I wanted to meet Mickey so we were waiting in the judges tent for our turn. We were first to walk in and much to my surprise my ds let go of my hand and raced into Mickeys arms....he said "I've been looking for you for days"....of course I cried and I believe the CM's and mickey recognized what an important moment this was and gave us extra time. They let us watch as others in our group did there meets and allowed us a final moment to say goodbye.

On our most recent visits he has gotten a little braver but meeting Mickey is always a highlight!

Mine was on our most recent trip to WDW last October.

My partner and I had been together for quite awhile, in fact we were going to be celebrating our 13th anniversary so we decided to go whole hog and stay at the Boardwalk. Although a tad unconventional, I wanted desparately to make this vacation unforgettable and ask him to marry me. I had purchased the ring from a small shop in Ireland and had it shipped months prior. I had called his friends in Fort Lauderdale and asked them to join us at Pleasure Island under the pretense of fun but in reality to celebrate. I had ordered chocolate covered strawberries and sweets from room service.

Everything was perfect. The view from the room was amazing. My hands were shaking. I could barely speak. My knees were bit wobbly. 13 years notwithstanding, I was still nervous beyond belief. Joe had become my absolute best friend, my partner and has the uncanny ability to read me like a book. He makes me smile and I love him with all of my heart. I wanted him to know how happy he's made me and how happy I want to make him. Lots of pressure!

When Joe walked in the room and I tried to start my memorized lines while fumbling with the ring, Disney made the moment even more perfect. Our balcony doors were open and much to my own surprise, the music from Illuminations poured into the room and the fireworks shot into the sky! I couldn't have asked for a better moment and it brought tears to my eyes.

Thanks to Disney for making a memorable moment in our life to an unforgettable one.

Oh, Joe said "yes!"
