I am trying to explain some of the disney magic to my cousin who will be joining us for her very first trip at age 58. I wanted to share some of these magical disney moments people have experienced on trips due to cast members, just the parks in general or being with our family. If you would like to post a reply with you moment, I would love to read them to her!
Thanks everyone and have a magical day! :earsgirl:

I love reading and sharing magical moments!

I have a couple favorites.

1. Big family trip with my THEN non-Disney brother and his 2 year old little
boy. (who I Disney brain-washed beforehand!) We went to the Pooh
Breakfast at MK and it is my nephew's first time seeing the big characters
up close, so we aren't sure how he will react. Pooh (one of my nephew's
favorites) is the first to come to our table and we all sort of hold our
breath, afraid he might start crying, but Pooh kneels down beside him
and my nephew leans right over and gives him a hug and a kiss on the
nose...Definitely a magical Awwwwwww moment, but then I look over at
my brother and there are tears in his eyes! And I know I will never forget
the look on his face.

2. My six year old, princess loving niece was also with us on that trip, her
first time to Disney. We went to the Princess Breakfast in Norway.
She was all dressed up as Jasmine (so cute!) -- Well, she was kinda
quiet and we thought maybe she didn't feel good, but as we are sitting
at the table and we could see all the princesses walking around, my
niece whispers to herself "I feel like I am in a dream." This time I cried! LOL!

3. Same niece....saw a picture of a group in front of the castle and the
photographer had put Tink in their hands. She wanted SO much for Tink
to land in her hand in a photo...so her and I stopped to get our picture
and the photographer told her to hold her hand out....then he snapped
the picture and said "Oh, look, there she goes....Did you see her?"
My niece about died! BUT after we got home and got our own pictures
developed I noticed in several pictures my niece had her hand out in
them...sort of trying to be sneaky about it..trying to get Tink to drop by
again. :goodvibes

Just a couple of my personal favorites.........

DD was almost 2, and we're at MK late. Minnie Mouse comes up to her and picks her up and starts rocking her. Minnie sits down on a bench, still holding her. Well I'm taking pictures like crazy. Then I realize there is this crowd around us and everyone is ohhing and ahhing and taking pictures (she is a cute kid). Minnie probally sat with her for 5 minutes, and my DD just looked up at her in awe. Neddless to say 3 years later and Minnie is still her favorite.

We are going next month, and my DD who is 11 told me the other day that if she gets a chance she's going to particapte in things, like Lion King. When she was 8 she would have nothing to do with 'that stuff' and trust me she is more self aware at being cool now then before. I keep telling her I'm going to sing the Doodle Bop "Get On The Bus" song whenever we board a bus. She just rolls her eyes at me, but I've caught her singing the song. :cool1:

I do have one, when MGM still had the Hunchback show going and while we were watching the show, there was a mentally ******** boy in front of us, he was so adorable and loved the show. At the end of the show, Quazi stopped while walking down the isle and ruffled the boy's hair and gave him a high five, he didn't do that with anyone else and that boy was so excited he was screaming. We all had tears in our eyes, because of the meaning of the show, not to treat someone differently just because they appear different and so we all clapped and cheered even louder when that happened. Esp my sister who works with children like this each day. Such magic!

I have one! Our daughter (9 at the time) wore her Jasmine outfit she had just bought to Magic Kingdom and all day she was being treated like a princess. The cast members were saying things like "Oh, Princess Jasmine we didn't know you were going to be in the park today. How's Prince Aladdin?" to her all day. So, we were in line to ride our last ride for the night (for the trip) - Splash Mountain (which we had never rode) - and a cast member came up to us and proceed to curtsey (sp) and treat Amber wonderfully. Then the cast member asked Princess Jasmine how many were in her party? She said 5 and the cast member said come with me. We still had at least 45-60 minute wait. The cast member took us around the back of the ride and put us on right away :thewave: !!! Everyone in the line waiting saw this. As did the people ready to get on the ride. The cast member told the ride operator that Princess Jasmine was in the park and he made a fuss and said oh please pincess get on right away! So, we did and of course I bought the ride picture (we were the only ones in the boat). Both of the boys told Amber to always wear her outfit from now on :rotfl2: .

How wonderful!!! This was our first trip ever! We were hooked. We will be back this December!

When our sons were 2 and 5 we took them to WDW. We did the Princess BK at Akershus. Well, my little one really liked Snow White, she was the only one he would get near. Well, fast forward to the Stars -n- Cars parade at MGM that afternoon. When Snow White came by in her car, my little son waved and blew her a kiss...she caught it and blew one back! It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO magical, it was just the two of us and DH and DS2 missed it. I hold that moment so close, it was awesome! True, Disney Magic. Great thread to get started, by the way. Can't wait to read more and more...

Lots and lots of magical moments. A couple of them -

The whole family had just watched Illuminations and my son, his wife, and their daughter wanted to finish their pressed penny hunt so I stayed behind in Epcot with them while the in-laws and my husband went back to the room. On our way out (finally), my daughter-in-law saw that Chefs de France was still open. She wondered out loud if she could maybe go in and take a picture of a French chef since her cousin was studying in a chef's course. I blurted out, "this is Disney, just ask". My son said to take the granddaughter with her. My son and I waited outside. For twenty minutes. Out came my granddaughter with a paper chef's hat on. Not only did my daughter-in-law get her picture, they got to talk to the chef AND my granddaughter was a server for a while, giving water glasses out to the patrons. This was well after Epcot closed (after 10:00) but it was such a special moment and the look on both of the faces were amazing.

Having a Cast Member who was checking us out at a MGM gift shop overhear us debating going to either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach since the day had turned so hot. He picked up the phone and got the crowd conditions on each one and recommended Typhoon Lagoon since that wasn't as crowded as Blizzard Beach at the time.

We had to literally shove our daughter-in-law out of Animal Kingdom Lodge after taking her there for a visit. She just didn't want to leave.

My mother-in-law, one of the most practical people on the planet, always asking just when "her" fountain show is going off at Epcot.

There's many, many more special times. We get at least one every trip.

I have so many...but I will share 2 one funny and one that almost made me cry.

While we were waiting to see Cinderella, my son fell asleep in my DH arms. I was sad because I really wanted a pic of him with Cindy (he is a major flirt and it would have been too cute..plus she's my fav princess). Anyways, she knelt down and asked if she could hold him. She did and she rocked him back and forth and cuddled with him for like 5 minutes!! It was so wonderful, I have some great pictures!!

The other happened when I was about 5 - 6. My entire family, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, close family friends, etc all went down to WDW. Well we did a character breakfast and tigger was there. My father is such a wise guy that when tigger came over to visit w/us and sign autographs, he slipped the bill under tigger's paw. Tigger caught onto what my dad was trying to do (have tigger pay for the bill..ha ha) and he proceeded to pick my dad up and carry him out of the restaurant. Mind you my dad isn't a small man!! No wonder Tigger has always been my favorite!!!! :rotfl:

Our family was lucky enough to be at the world for the 50th celebration :disrocks: . One day we went to go see the Cinderellabration show with our children princess: 4, pirate: 7, :earsboy: 1. we were able to get in front thanks to a wonderful CM. Now our DD & DS are in the stroller watching the show and my oldest DS is on my lap. I look over to see my DD watching the show in awe and the happiness in her eyes, just then my DW ::MinnieMo and I look up to see Cinderella wave to our DD and blow her a kiss and I see my DD waving back with her tiny little girl hand.
I look at my DW ::MinnieMo and she has tears flowing  and yes, daddy also teared up too.
That's what the world is all about making memories to last a lifetime and making childrens dreams come true.
On our way back Sept 05. Can't wait!!

DD's favorite character was Jasmine. She was SO into anything Aladdin. We were in line for the magic carpet ride when who should appear but the Genie and Jasmine. Jasmine came right up to us and asked if she could ride with my daugher! Of course I didn't have my camera. But it made her day!

Wow!!! Yall are awesome, all these stories, thanks so much for sharing. I can't wait to read more if any are out there, this is the stuff I love to hear about!
I will tell yall that when my sister worked as a cast member in MGM, she would always ask kids for their autograph in her own book and the kids faces just lit up like they are very special, I would tear up just to see this! And one time they found an autograph book in their restaurant - she was a waitress at Hollywood & Vine back in '96 and they took the autograph book and filled it up with all the original character signatures addressed to the child who's name was written in the front of the book and then mailed it to them at home. I'm sure it made that child's day to get it back with extras in it!

One trip to WDW was with my sister and her family (their first trip)
While watching the Aladdin Parade in MGM I commented that "Jasmine looks just like the real one". My little neice looked at me and said, "She is the real one". That made me realize how much of the experience is magic.

There's nothing like your first trip to Disney. Even at age 58.

There was a Disney cast member that helped my boyfriend plan the most magical proposal for me last month--and all spur of the moment for the cast member as he hadn't arranged anything until we got to the France Pavilion at Epcot and we were waiting in line to meet Belle and The Beast. The cast member allowed Sleeping Beauty to come over and be a part of a special picture for me since I love the princesses. The cast member told my fiance that they don't allow the characters to pose together like that but she would allow it since it was a special occassion. The cast member brought Aurora over and my boyfriend proposed, the characters were so happy for us, it was so cute! And later, when we met Aladdin, Jasmine and the Genie, and they found out we had just gotten engaged, it was so sweet, you could tell how excited they were for us and Jasmine asked for a hug and both her and Aladdin kept saying "Congratulations Princess" It was all pretty magical to me!
