on TV these days has GOT to the the Dodge "Dr. Z" commercials. So stupid, and such a horrible acting job -- the most fake German accent I have ever heard! Whoever was the ad exec for Dodge should be fired for that campaign.

What's your nomination for most stupid ad?

Yes, I think those Dr Z commercials are just awful but I REALLY can't stand the new Dunkin Donuts commercial with the white-trash woman with the bad haircut who is driving her kids to lessons and they each say something then she yells "KA-RAAA-TAY"! So stupid. And totally annoying.

Despite an aggressive employee-discount program and a $225 million advertising effort featuring DaimlerChrysler Chairman Dieter Zetsche ("Dr. Z"), Chrysler sales are expected to be down 17 percent in July compared with last year, according to trade publication Automotive News. There were several major shortcomings that left consumers mostly unmoved by the ads, say Chrysler dealers.



According to CNW Marketing Research, 80 percent of consumers believed Dr. Z was a fictional character, rather than DaimlerChrysler's top executive. They were also not swayed by the "german engineering" argument, say analysts. To make matters worse, most consumers didn't notice the employee-discounting message that accompanied most of the commercials.



One dealer said 70 percent of customers like the TV ads, but only half liked the radio versions. The other half said they had trouble understanding Dr. Zetsche's German accent.

How about the new Geico commercials.........the ones with Burt Bacarach, Little Richard and Charo.
They were tolerable with the little Gecko but these new ones really stink, they must have changed ad agencys.

I also HATE the Burger King commercials with the phony looking King....who in their right mind would want to wake up with him!!! Not only that but they had one waking up next to a man.........

I HATE the Ford one with the American Idol guy: "I get what I want, I go where I please." They play it about 5 times an hour around here. *bangs head against wall*

I also hate the Toyota one where the guy is wearing these goofy sunglasses to "negotiate." I don't know why it annoys me, but it does!

I think that Dunkin Donuts busy mom commercial is just weird!

I love the Dr. Z commercials!! Especially the one with the kids -"Is that a real mustache?"

I guess if you had thought he was an actor, they would have been irritating, but each commercial has listed his name and company position, so I never thought he was fake.

Oh my, Dr. Z is real? I guess you learn something new everyday. And I'm one of the 50% that dislike the radio commercials. I listen to the radio all day while I work (actually, I listen to the radio more than I watch TV), and most radio commercials are horrible!

I dislike all of the Geico commercials, especially the ones with the British accent little lizard geeco. I haven't seen the crazy mom Dunkin Donut commercial, but the other ones with the people mouthing the words to dumb songs just drive me nuts. And I love Dunkin Donuts!

Oh yeah...and a few months ago there was that tampon commercial. Guy and gal out in a rowboat. Rowboat springs a leak. Guy started to fumble around, gal shoves a tampon in to the hole of the rowboat. That brought a "***" from everyone who saw it.

ugh! the new burger one with the "little people" assembling the double & triple burgers (it's either Burger King or Carl's Jr - see, I'm not even sure which one!).

And yeah, I hate the Dr.Z ones - especially the one where he CRASHES INTO THE WALL WHILE INSIDE THE CAR!! Of course, they run a "simulated - they're not really doing this" line, but still - running a car into a wall with people in it?!?!?

Thre are so many annoying commercials....they may think they're so clever, but how clever is it if I can't even recall what they're trying to sell me?
