No, not most famous person ever, but he's definitely a famous person.he was totally awesome fo sho. Just not anywhere close to most famous person ever. No one hates Darwin except for Creationists but they have other issues to worry about so who cares?

I still don't think Elvis is the most famous person ever, even though he's probably in the top 5.
...what about Johnny Cash, you guys?

As much as I like The Cash, his fame and legacy is in the country world. No, not most famous person ever, but he's definitely a famous person.

lol The only reason most people of our generation knows who he is because of the move Walk The Line. As far as all-time, I'd still put The Beatles and MJ ahead of him.

Speaking of Johnny, I heard a song the other day called Johnny Cash is Dead and His House Burned Down.
Well, actually, it depends on who you're talking about. If it's just entertainers, then I might agree with you. But if Barack Obama died, I'm pretty sure the world (especially the US, of course) would be devastated.I just don't think that if anyone from OUR time died, we would really be as devasted as the world was when Michael did.

Did you not watch any of the election? Barack Obama has many many 'fans'. He's just not our president, he represents how far our country has come. He's a landmark.Well sure, it is the same with any President. Purely because of their status they would need to have an elaborate funeral.
But I would even venture to say that Barack Obama has not made an emotional impact internationally, to where people would be mourning worldwide, the way Michael did.
He touched people's hearts, he made beautiful music, and has left the world without their "King." I don't think that anyone would have that response out of love and sorrow, that he had.
His memorial wasn't mandatory, it was elaborate because that is what people thought Michael deserved, and the people who showed up were people who loved him and worshiped him, the millions of viewers who turned in wanted to be apart of it too.
I don't think I would be watching a Barack Obama memorial service, but that's just me.

I couldn't agree more.
I think it's sad that we have all this teenage fangirls running around thinking the Twilight characters are the most important and famous people of our time...sad.
probably Kristen Stewart , Robert Pattinson , Briteny Spears, or Obama.
