Was it all they said it would be?
Did you research it and find best price there?

A white noise machine, and yes it was.

I think it was about $50, and it had mixed reviews but I wanted one that played continuously and not just for a certain amount of time and then shuts off. Couldn't find one in stores, so I decided to order it from Amazon. I've had it about a year, or a bit longer maybe. I love it and use it every night.

Hmmm I buy so much on Amazon in a given year - thinking what was most expensive. OH maybe the Trombone - yeah that was it, I think anyway. However. it is always worth it. Love Amazon. :thumbsup2

Was it in a good shape? not dinged up or rusty or anything? From a store or a person?

a few digital cameras. I think one was in the 200$ range a few years ago... I get stuff from them weekly... gotta love prime!

Back in 2009 we snatched up a top of the line 40" LCD flat screen TV from them at a killer price, as part of their "lighting deals" in December. They must have only has a few at the price we paid because that offering literally ended 15 seconds after it started.

January 2009, a $1500 52 inch LCD TV. Yes, it was everything we hoped it would be. LOVE IT, still use it, still works! Was delivered free and they carried it down the stairs for us.

We have purchased all our Apple computer gear recently thru Amazon - so thousands of dollars. I'm not sure why the concern over it being new? Items sold through Amazon are new - unless it would be something from a 3rd party seller that stated it was used. It's not like buying on eBay or Craig's List.

We purchase most of our household and electronic items from Amazon.

The only time I really shop online is when I cannot find it local. I'm a big fan of buying things local to support local business, retail stores and employees at them.

Sometimes I find the prices on Amazon to be a little cheaper, but not enough to warrant me to use them on a regular basis. I also do not like Amazon's stance on taxation and failing to collect most locale taxes on purchases.

All that said, I did buy a new HTPC case for our home theatre for about $180, but again, it was mostly because there was no place to buy it local. I do use online reviews a lot, especially on my phone where I can scan the barcode of something and see the reviews instantly.

I order from Amazon a lot. I order toilet paper, tissues, diapers, baby wipes, certain food items, kitchen appliances, electronics, toys, video games, etc.

I believe the most expensive item I have ordered was my DSLR camera, which was $600'ish.

Their customer service is great, at least it is from Amazon itself. I generally don't deal with the 3rd party sellers.

How funny. I actually have used them more to support their stance on state taxes.
The most expensive thing... DH's PS3 last black Friday. I love free Prime shipping.
