Most Disappointing Series Finale

Will & Grace.

Seriously, who would believe that they would ever separate for over 18 years?

And making Jack rich, that was just stupid. I was so mad, I don't even watch the show in re-runs and I was SUCH a huge fan of it.

I for one thought the end of Seinfeld was brilliant! They had the same conversation at the start and at the end of the series. And to bring back tons of bit characters? Genius.

For all the Seinfeld naysayers, how would you have ended it? Jerry and Elaine together? George finally happy? Yawn!

Roseanne.

I also was not thrilled with Little House on the Prairie. Sad way to end it!

Edited to add one more: The Wonder Years

Saving Grace!!!!!! What a hideous ending................DH and I just looked at each other with our mouths open!!!

I didnt watch the last season I think i moved and didnt have a DVR so I forgot to watch it when it came back. I was going to look for it online but I dont know if I will since you are saying it was so bad.

A little watched two season Showtime Series called "Dead Like Me". Was a sudden cancellation, so there was no finale. :sad2:

They made a movie after the cancellation. Its in my netflix que but havent watched it yet. The reviews say its not too good.

I have a thing where I dont watch finales of series. Not on purpose but I dont get around to it since I dont have to catch up to see the next episode. I never watched the finale of ER even tho i downloaded it from itunes because it was on my DVR and I had to reset it and lost everything on it. And Ive never seen the last episode of Everwood even tho I own all the seasons on dvd

I loved that show..was so disappointed it got cancelled :( Yes they did make a movie and no it isn't as good as the series..I watched it out of loyalty to the show but it was lacking what made the series good.

Seinfeld for sure..lame!

Eh..Buffy brought back old characters too and ended with a conversation similar to what you would hear in other episodes and managed to do a good job of it...Seinfeld not so much.

I don't think any of those things you mentioned would have "made" the ending or should be how it ended..I expected far more than what they gave us though and think there are a billion other ways they could have brought previous characters back or ended on a conversational note like an early episode.

Agree with Seinfeld.

M*A*S*H, too, was fairly lame IIRC, and Cheers.

Recently, The Finder. They knew it was being cancelled after the first season, and still didn't close up anything. Bizarre ending.

Seinfeld. Oh that was B-A-D! They could have done so much and they came up with that crap? :sad2:

Big Love. Can't believe they killed Bill. Ugh!

The Wire. I was upset for days they made the Dookie a druggie. You got to know and love this kid and the last image of him was shooting up. Heart wrenching because you know that is the truth of it all. :sad1:

My favorite:

Newhart! Suzanne Pleshette ... brilliant!!

IMHO Dookie becoming a junkie is one of the things that made The Wire finale so good. We all love Dookie, we all want to see him beat the odds, but ultimately we know it's false hope. As Bubbles does the hard work and ultimately finds redemption, Dookie takes his place in the cycle. It's all connected.

I didn't particularly care for how Seinfeld ended, but it wasn't the worst for me. I think the Sopranos was the worst. I also didn't like the ending of Roseanne.

In regards to Big Love, I was very sad about the ending but it was very emotional for me at least. Unlike the Sopranos that just stopped.

The Guardian ....... I still ask Simon Baker when I see him on the screen in his new show "WHY SIMON ?? WHY ???? I just needed an ending LOL :happytv:

Lost. I still don't understand it. Did they die in the crash? Was the island limbo? The Others? So confused. Someone explain it to me. Use small words please. :rotfl2:

I'll say Angel (what ending?) and Twin Peaks. I liked the ending of MASH and never saw the ending of Roseanne, thank goodness.

Agree seinfeld was awful. Roseanne had been off the rails for two seaons by then so no different. Mad About You also awful.

X-files, however... I'm still mad. WHERE were all those anwers we were promised, CC? Where?! Maddening.

Agreed, LOVED that show so much:sad:

I was really disappointed with both roseanne and ER.

Oh, Roseanne for sure. Although after that entire last season, any hope for a quality finale went out with the living room furniture. :sad2:
