Most convenient drop off + ticket purchase?

Hey everyone!

So, my daughter and I have our one day DLR visit scheduled for the 14th. Usually, I have my tickets purchased in advance and we stay on-site, but this trip is so different as we are coming from LA that morning, and must purchase tickets onsite. So - here's my latest obsession: what is the most convenient drop off area and which is the most sensible location to purchase our one day hopper tickets and how early can I expect to be able to do so.

I like to be there for rope drop, so just arriving without bearings and tickets--feels so weird!!! Would really appreciate some handholding. :)

Thanks for your help!

Easiest thing is to park at the most convinient parking area, the Toy Story lot just south of Katella on
Harbor. You can buy tickets just before getting onto the shuttle to the parks.

Actually, we are being dropped off. I'm *so* not driving in California!:lmao:

If I have this correct - there are two 15 min drop off areas? One on Harbor Blvd and one near the Rainforest cafe?

Of the two, which is the easiest/best spot for drop off and then pick up at the end of the day; and from that morning drop off spot, where best to go for ticket purchase?

Thanks! Sorry for the confusion.

Harbor drop off is definitely closer. From the Harbor drop off, proceed through security and you will see the ticket booths immediately in front of you.

Is there a reason you can't buy online? You could print an e-ticket and proceed right to the turnstiles. This will save you time and perhaps money. Have fun! :goodvibes

It won't save you money but definitely time. Buy online.

Sorry about that.

In that case get dropped off at Harbor, you want to be going southbound, pass the main cross walk and light where the buses enter. The drop off is on the right 50m (150 ft) past the intersection. It's the closest walk to the gates.

No need to get there super early, because if you do you just get stuck at security and the ticket booths aren't open anyway. Since the park opens at 10am, a drop off at 9 will be plenty early to get ticket and get to the gates for rope drop. Though on a slow day like that I would arrive about 9:20-9:30.

Since it's a later opening and early close day you might opt for being dropped on the other side and walking through the scenic DTD. It will take about 7 minutes longer to walk and maybe more if you are looking at the windows and buildings.

LOVE you guys!!! I didnot know I could do this - Have never done a "last minute" trip before - always all super prepared etc. So, I canz just print this "e-ticket" from the Disneyland website - do I get an actual small ticket from the turnstile person then?

Yes print out the E-ticket and take it to the gates. They scan it at the gate, hand you back a regular ticket and let you into the park.
