This will be our first trip using Magic Bands, so I'm sorry for asking something SO VERY BASIC, but here goes:

We will buy our tickets from Undercover Tourist.
We will receive our MagicBands in the mail.
We will upload our tickets and make our Fast Pass ressies on My Disney Experience.

Do we need to carry the paper tickets with us to the parks, or will My Disney Experience "be" our tickets?

All that the bands do is point back to your MDE account. So whatever exists in MDE, will be referenced by the bands. (As long as you register the bands to your MDE account if they were purchased separate from a resort reservation)

If you load your tickets into MDE, your magic band will be able to access your tickets.

I always think it’s a good idea to bring the actual paper tickets on the trip just in case. You don’t need to carry them each day, but if there is an issue it’s good to have access to them.

Your linked MBs will provide the link to your MDX account where your tickets and FPs are linked.

You won’t need your printed etickets because your ticket data is linked to MDX.

I always bring them with (just in case)...but they sit in my suitcase the whole trip.

Other than my very first trip, when I actually walked up to a ticket booth and purchased a ticket, I have actually never had a physical ticket (other than an annual pass which acts like a MagicBand -- in that nothing is physically on the card and it just points to my MDE account). I felt better having Undercover Tourist send me electronic tickets instead of putting something that could get lost in the mail.

I figured that if there was a problem, I could just pull up those ticket numbers on my phone. Thus, it was accessible from anywhere I could get internet and there was no physical ticket to misplace or get stolen.

Don't know if there's a right answer, but it has worked for me.

After inputting everything into MDE and assigning everything to each traveler, it’s all linked. I always carry a screen shot or photo of the tickets (e-tickets or plastic, whichever I receive) which is on my phone. And a hard copy that I leave in hotel room. Just in case. But I’m also the person who also prints out or screen shots hotel reservation confirmations, airline reservations, etc. etc, etc.
