Mosquitos in August

Will this be a problem at night in August? Do I need to bring repellent with me?

I didn't really notice them last August, so it must not have been a huge problem. We did find little bitey tnings in the sand and grass at night tho. Only bothered our feet and lower legs. I always bring repellant with me, just in case. Especially those wipes. Just tuck a few into my fanny pack.

The no-see-ems can be a problem in Aug. watch your feet and ankles.

Last Memorial Day weekend the mosquitoes were out in droves. We got eaten alive in the evening by the AKL pool, and another evening at the Polynesian Beach. It was BAD. We go at the same time every year and last year was the first year we had a problem.

Beware if you are anywhere near water at dusk. I would definitely recommend repellant.

I was sitting outside BTM waiting for dh and the ds in aug. and I got eaten alive. Bring the spray. If you dont want to bring a whole bottle then how about one of those rub on sticks.

We visited 8/14-8/24 last year (split between Polynesian and BWV) and had absolutely no problems with insects. We went to the 8:00 p.m. Luau one evening and I was surprised by the near-total absence of bugs.

We were at the AKL and parks Aug 16-23 and had no problem with bugs and never used bug spray. If we'd have been outdoors at home that time of year we ALWAYS have to use it! I wonder what they do at WDW to get rid of them?

You will definately need sunscreen, so why not get the kind with bug repellant in it. Avon sells it and I am pretty sure you can get it in any drug store. You can save some $$ by buying the combo stuff, and then you won't need to worry about the biters!
