Morning EMH as crowded as Evening EMH???

Hello all, and thanks in advance for your opinions. I'm planning a late April trip (4/23-4/29) and have read the opinions on the boards to avoid late Extra Magic Hour in the evenings. That is actually fine with us, since we'll be traveling with two little ones (5 and 2), and staying up till midnight is out of the question. However, what about morning EMHs?? We are early risers at home, and it wouldn't be a problem for us to get to the parks early (staying onsite too). What about the dates that we are going, will the Spring Breakers have left by then and we wouldn't really need EMH?? Is it smarter to just avoid those parks on those days all together??
thanks!

I found during our recent trip that avoiding EMH in the morning worked well, Especially the day that AK had EMH in the morning, we did MK and the morning was not crowded at Mk at all. We always avoided the EMH parks, and got to the park we were doing that day at 9 a.m. opening. Found it works great. :cool1:

We've found that the crowds are lighter for morning hours, and we haven't had good luck with the evening hours. I think that people in general would rather sleep later and stay out later while on vacation, rather than get up early in the morning. And with your little ones, early hours would likely work out better for you too.

Our experience with MK was that morning hours were not as crowded. This was the only morning EMH we did. The evening one was nuts, I could not believe how crowded Fantasyland was! 60 minute wait for Peter Pan at midnight. Frontierland on the other hand was deserted. Got right on Splash several times. Our evening EMH experiences at the other parks: AK, was fine, I wish the Safari had been open that evening. We did see Lion King and walk around a bit but didn't stay long. It didn't seem that crowded but we had been there all day and were ready to leave. Epcot: Total bust since Test Track was broken. This was back in February before Soarin was open, we did not try EMH at Epcot in May. Mission Space was walk on but there are only so many times you can ride that one. I wish World Showcase would stay open too! MGM: Really long waits for TOT and RNRC probably because everybody exits Fantasmic and heads right there. Voyage of the Little Mermaid was not crowded at all and we did some shopping but thats about it. I think all the parks but MK just have so little open that the rides get more crowded. I can see how mornings would almost always be better but with our mountain timed tuned bodies we can hardly ever get up that early!

morning emh rocks. get more done by 11 than most people get to do all day. then hop to another park. my family loves am emh.

We did the EMH at MK on July 6th. From 8 am to 10 am we did:

Dumbo (We were the first ride of the day)
Peter Pan
Pooh
Tea Cups
Philharmagic
Buzz Lightyear
Stitch
and two other rides I can't remember

We were very happy with all that we fit in.

We did the EMH at MK on July 8th from 11 pm to 2 am. We had spent the morning and afternoon at EPCOT and then went back to the hotel for a nap and dinner. We got to MK around 7 and were only expecting to stay until 10. We were having such a great time that we stayed until 1:45am (with a 9,6, and 1 year old)! Needless to say we all slept until 10 the next morning. :flower: We were able to walk on the Jungle Cruise (it was very neat at night), Buzz, flying carpets and Pirates. There was a small wait for Haunted Mansion, space mountain and indy racetrack. We didn't attempt Dumbo or Peter Pan. They both had long lines and we had done them already. The best part was being able to see the 11 pm parade without waiting. We NEVER watch the parades because we don't want to hold a spot for an hour before it starts and we don't like being part of the big masses. We were able to get a great spot five minutes before it started and the kids really enjoyed it.

Good Luck!

We avoid AK on the day of EMH morning. The park stays packed all day!!! It's much, much better to go there first thing on a non-EMH day.
