I have a friend who ate her placenta. She did it because she was breast-feeding and had learned that it would be beneficial in that regard.

Wow, I am a huge supporter of breast feeding (I breast feed both my kids for a while, the youngest is 20 months and still BF 2 times a day.)

However that is just, wow. I am at a loss for words.

I may give up all eggs and dairy for my baby with food allergies to be able to breast feed her. I don't think I could eat something that grew inside me for any reason. I guess I draw the line there.

Do they do stem cell research and palcentas also? I know they use them for other medical reasons, the blood is very good. I know you can store the steem cell blood if your child ever has a medical complcation that can help. It cost like $300 or something like that.
