My niece is interested in the Career Start Program. Is the recommendation letter still required for the CS program? Also is it too late to apply for Spring 2011 or should she wait until Fall.

No, the recommendation letter is no longer required.

But I'm not sure if the Spring 2011 applications are still open, many people who talk of applying for the spring 2011 are now talking about their phone interviews and stuff, so I'm not entirely sure. They should post clearer application deadlines and such on their website definitely!

If she can apply for the spring then I would and if she doesnt get accepted then she can always reapply for the fall!

She doesn't have to mail it in anymore. I would suggest calling/emailing for her web interview I did and they sent it to me the next day after I faxed. (took a week my first time applying)

We just got an e-mail saying that they are no longer accepting applications for the Spring program for 2011 and that she should reapply for the Fall.
