Yikes! We are leaving in 24 hours! I am trying to make sure that I have prepared for everything. My biggest concern is with tipping at this point - a little detail but I don't want to look silly. Usually, we stay at a value resort or a moderate where I know how to tip what I consider to be proper. This trip we are staying at the Polynesian and we have a concierge room. Here are my tipping questions:
1. I have heard that when we pull up someone will help with luggage. Do you tip this person? If so, how much?
2. I know that the concierge is not suppose to accept tips so I bought them 3 good size boxes of good chocolate for all of the help they have given us. Does this seem like it will be an acceptable idea?
3. I have put together tip envelopes for Mousekeeping and for turn down service at night. Am I still missing anything or anyone?
This luxery trip is a once in a life time for my husband and I. I don't want to appear cheap or not know when to do the right thing. Any input on this would be appreciated. Thanks!
