more questions about Disney Gift Cards

I am just wondering about using Disney Gift Cards and restaurants- are all included? Like Blue Bayou, Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, Bengal BarBQ,etc? And what about like the Churro carts or ice cream?

And next question but I think i read this right- you can use them to buy your Hopper tickets? So you can buy gift cards at Target (with Red Card) and then you can get the Hopper passes? Do you order online or on the phone with your gift cards?


And at Target the biggest gift card is for $50- so I would need 33 of them to get our Hopper passes- can i really call and use 33 gift cards at once?

Last time (summer 2011) we had disney gift cards and used them anywhere they accepted a credit card and never had a problem. That Blue Bayue (spelling?) place you're asking about... is that place at the swan and dolphin resort? I don't think that resort would accept disney gift cards because they are not owned and operated by disney, but I could be wrong. We did come across several places that only accepted cash like the balloon man and some snack stands. But.... that was 1 1/2 years ago. I wonder if the balloon man carries around a credit card swiper now. Anyone know the answer to that?

Sorry i am referring to DISNEYLAND, blue bayou is the Pirates of the Caribbean restaurant. I was just wondering what food restrictions are there with the gift cards.

I ve used gift cards at DL at the places you listed. There may be still be a few vendors that are cash only but I haven't encountered one. Every place that takes credit cards accepts gift cards. There are many places in DTD that won't take them if they are not Disney businesses.

I have only had trouble if it was DTD as pp stated they are not owned by Disney.

When we were there in Sept 2012, the balloon guy was cash only. We used gift cards everywhere else
