more people booking ?

are more people booking this year as in previous years when we have gone on the wait list we have always got the resorts we have asked for but this year is the first time we havent had our waitlist come througth we have been asking for a few nights at eather HH or VB in aug we even have tried for BCW but at least we have got OKW and SSR.Is the 50th celebration making folks book this year or is it more people wanting these resort more at this time of year

I honestly think more Americans are going to Orlando because it's cheap to get there. Airfares and other costs are so high for travel to Europe, Hawaii and other more exotic vacation locales! So that means longer waitlists at DVC, unfortunately.

I agree. I think more people are traveling in general, and many more people are going to Orlando because of the 50th Anniversary celebration. I was there in May and June, and it seems almost overnight about the 15th of May or so, the crowds just picked up dramatically. In the past, it seems the crowds didn't start to get bad until maybe June 10th or so.
