Hi, it's me again....with my life insurance situation. We are now onto the next phase of finding a new carrier. We have been with Liberty Mutual from day one for our life insurance. Our new renewal rate it outrageous, so we are looking elsewhere. If you all remember, I asked for reputable companies to contact regarding this, and you all came through. We are working with Zander, gathering all the information. The list below is what they provided for life insurance carriers for a 10 year term policy. So, my question to all of you is have you heard of these companies, and if so, tell me your thoughts. Any experience with them, and recommendations, etc. When looking over the list, I have only heard of Genworth and Transamerica. Just the names, I know nothing of them first hand. The list is in order of lowest to highest monthly premiums for the same coverage.

So, tell me anything you know about these carriers. Would you recommend one of them, etc. or recommend against any of them. We want to choose a nice reputable carrier that has been in business for some time, not going to go belly up, or be scumbags if, god-forbid, we would have to claim the policy. I'm assuming Zander did all that leg worth in order for these companies to even be considered on their website, but one never knows. Thanks for any input.

We use Banner and ReliaStar. We have had them for 5-6 yrs. The premiums are pretty good for the return. But we did get it when we were pretty young.

Thank you. I'm asking everyone I know who they use as a carrier. Want to be sure we pick a good, reputable company. hanks again. :thumbsup2

We have ours through Knights of Columbus... They may be considered a private group but are very highly rated

I am familiar with many of the companies on the list. A lot of insurance companies are owned by other insurance companies, so you might only be familar with the parent company.

Protective is at the top of your list and they are reputable.

I personally have mine through MetLife, but that was because I bought through a family member.

Also, I am not sure of your particular needs but are you sure 10 year term is the right option for you?

We've have some of our life insurance with SBLI (2nd on your list) since 2004, and while we haven't filed a claim yet, I have enjoyed working with the CSR rep and their rates are still really competitive.

Very happy overall.

We just purchased new policies with Midland. I know our insurance agent had them ranked well. :thumbsup2

I have Trans America, Hubby has Banner. We've had it for 4 years so far.
