more info on DVC Premiere Pass

I just returned from Disneyland and I spoke with a ticket seller about the DVC Premier AP for both DL and WDW. With tax it comes to $876.60.
If you already have an AP they will sell you a voucher that you must use by Jan 31, 2015. I believe this is the first time they are selling vouchers for this pass.

I was wondering how they were going to do this. Would they give you the AP and just let you activate it in the future? But now that I know they are selling a voucher I feel better. Why it can't be sold over the internet I have no idea. Maybe that is coming in the future? I hope this information helps someone!

Hmmm. This is tempting. I work in Southern CA several times a month. I could just pop by DL and buy this voucher.

Nope, no phones calls allowed. I tried it Wednesday. So I could drive down to DLR but the gas costs would eat up the savings. So I bought the WDW AP DVC special since I am going for 8 days this year.
Now I have to figure out how I am going to manage my DLR weekends (I usually go around 3-4 times a year)

Okay, I called DVC CM today to tell them "We bought last years DVC special WDW PAP's Dec. 28, 2012 but only JUST activated them 12/25/13 & would like to upgrade with the NEW DVC Premier price." They said fine .... You can enter DLR parks as soon as you make the purchase (anytime BEFORE the expiration of this discount which is in April) THEN pay the difference from what you paid PLUS do this IN PERSON but ALSO that it will expire as your original activation date - 12/25/14.
Now it's probably not much of a real saving BUT my kids are saying some of their friends FINALLY got AP's so they would have more people to go with THIS year THEREFORE we are just going to bite the bullet and pay the difference for 4 Premier passports! It did not make sense for us to just buy in on the DLR deluxe for next year if there is a need for them NOW .... plus I would still have to pay for parking on 3 out of 4! So with our last stay @ WDW (9 days + 7 days this coming year) AND however many between NOW til THIS DEC. 18th @ Disneyland we should be getting our $$$ worth !!! Now I just have to find a few last minute reservations at Villas Grand California OR a few @ DLR Hotels!

Maybe that answers nobodies questions here but I thought I would just share with my fellow Disney lovers!
