Here are the latest pictures. I have two more weeks and still lots to do, but this is really the hardest part. The remaining buildings are a bit simpler. These are pictures of the first story of the corner buildings and the gazebo. You are looking at 5 Golden Rings Fine Jewelry, 9 Ladies Dancing School of Ballet, and 3 French Hens Patissere as well as Pear Tree Gazebo, minus the pear on top.

Yay! I'm so glad you came back with more pictures! I'm fascinated by this project and how creative it is!!

These are absolutely incredible!!! :cool1: :woohoo: :yay:  :faint: Gingerbread is really your medium. :thumbsup2 I hope you do this full time and are able to make a living out of this. I'm sure there must be weddings, parties, corporate events, theme parties, etc. which would pay big bucks for stunning pieces of art like this. You are like a Colette Peters of gingerbread creations. :thumbsup2

Imzadi,

Thank you so much! Comparing me to Colette Peters is an honor. She is actually one of the judges for the Grove Park Inn Competition and is a very nice person full of great feedback.

I do not do this full time. In fact, this is only my second gingerbread creation ever. Last year was my first.

I am looking forward to seeing Colette this year and hearing what she has to say about this design. Last year she, and several of the other judges mentioned that they would like to see it be more complicated, have more color and have my lines be straighter and more exact. I think I am doing a bit better this year in all of those departments.

Good Heavens!!! I'm way, way past impressed!!! :flower3:

Oh I love the quilting look on the walls! What a wonderful idea too for the "theme" I can't wait to see it all! Keep up the beautiful work!

And I just now see what you said their suggestions were for you last year. I see the black roofs in the back- maybe think about more "colorful" roofs? Your lines look great to me.

Well, I've been going every year for years, and I fully believe you should stand a chance at some sort of award. This is exactly the kind of thing they look for. It takes a Christmas theme and interprets it in a creative way. Not to mention the work looks great!! I'll look for it there!

I'm in awe!! I cannot stop looking at all of the painstaking detail. It's absolutely breathtaking!!

LOVE IT!!!:) Very, very creative!! I love all the little details- the jewlery in the case, the mugs and bowls with food, the flooring, and the "stone" walls. Fantastic job and I hope you continue to post pictures. I'd love to see the finished product!

Is everything made from edible materials?

Linda, I was wondering if you were entering again this year. WLOS had their little news story about the competition coming up and there you were making last year's entry. As beautiful as it was, I think you outdid yourself this year! Can't wait to see it on display with a big ribbon on it!

You are so talented. I don't have an ounce of creativity in me, but you, your amazing!

I am completely blown away. Your art is absolutely beautiful and creative. LOVE all the detail!

I love watching the competition and find it so fascinating! Thank you so much for sharing your photos and experience! I can't wait to see your progress! I admire you so much for your work! Very cool...:)

I cannot get over how fantastic these pictures are!!
