And I just now see what you said their suggestions were for you last year. I see the black roofs in the back- maybe think about more "colorful" roofs? Your lines look great to me.

Yes, keep you color palette unified. You want colors in the same family or to compliment each other, not have the eye stop at different colors as though some colors don't belong.

You have one set of walls in what appears to be (on my screen) bright primary yellow, doors in primary red, then the quilted walls in a very muted green.

While each room is a separate theme, keep the colors unified through the whole piece. So the rooms don't look like they were made separately and them put next to each other (even if that's the process.)

I remember your project from last year. That one was great as a first piece. You have grown by leaps & bounds.

This is definitely your medium to work with.

It's obvious you love doing it and are having fun. There is such whimsy in your characters.

I love the gazebo!

The "black" roofs are actually dark green Nori seaweed. The roof in between them is a dark green gingerbread. There is green, brown and red throughout all the outsides of the buildings. The insides are all different, as shops in a mall would be. The outsides would coordinate while the insides would reflect the nature of the business.

The yellow interior of the bakery was chosen for it's bright cleanness. The mutes purple of the ballet studio for contrast to the black of the piano and dancer's leotards.

The green in the jewelry store...to brighten things and set off the gold accents.

The buildings you haven't seen yet....the butches shop has green and white walls, the pipe shop butterscotch and brown and the fitness center a light blue. Again, the exteriors are all in a similar color palette.

The barn and phone booth are a dark red and the music store drum will be red, white, blue and gold.....and will look like a colonial drum.

The church is white royal icing with stained glass windows.

They are coming!!! I have to finish the first story before I can assemble the second. Everything is ready to go, I am just waiting for the ceiling to dry in place so I can begin work.
