They do have a decent track record. But some of their "highly bowed to" posters have had some big misses too.

Disney has gone so rouge and changed their plans on so many things and dates the last couple years ..... I feel like no one knows until something is up and operating (like ROL). And if someone truly truly knew .... they wouldn't be talking.

Many have inside info, have learned things in advance, seen things in 3D ..... but even the inside folks see how Disney changes their mind and shifts gears midstream ...... and bloggers turn conjecture into fact.

.... so If someone pipes up THEY KNOW FOR SURE, I and go to the southern saying "Bless their Heart."

But on a discussion board we can talk all things rumor, conjecture, dreams, disappointments, bloggers, vloggers, twitters and even "facts" with the understanding only the past is for sure.

I never said they haven't had wrong info.

The hat had been rumored to go away for years so that wasn't really unexpected.

Of course nothing is written in stone but people can listen to projections if they want, I do. Look I follow rumors and write about them everyday I think I know what to believe and not to believe.

How so? It was a fluid situation they'll tell you that outright. WDW wanted PTN, DL won't give it up. There were WDW CMs that were told PTN was coming I can verify that but it didn't happen.

I may have interpreted some of their posts wrong, but I read them as PtN to Orlando was a done deal and to expect an announcement on the parks blog and that it was going to be a parade swap. Then DL basically single handily killed that idea. I understand it was a fluid situation and that stuff changed, but I just read it as it was basically a done deal based on their sources. Like I said though, not saying I didn't interprete wrong and/or read to much into their posts. Just my opinion - that's all.

First I don't spend too much time over there for a few reasons; quite a few of their posters are know-it-alls, their conversations tend to be less monitored and it gets old reading through the comments etc ................ but no if the conversation was as you say it was - not a total miss on their part, it was a Disney issue. Even though there were some who from the first wind of MSEP leaving were 100% arguing PtN was not coming here .......... it was completely contrary to what WDW CMs were told, in addition to physical proof of the parade backstage. Things that had no business being at MK if it were not coming. None of us know exactly what went down but I'm pretty sure from all I heard that a plan went terrible wrong once all parties were notified. Since the plan was to go dark anyway this fall and do maintenance on both parades it just made more sense to take a step back, pacify some folks and then re-think the long term plan/ramifications.

Does DL need two night time parades, absolutely not and it makes no sense to do so. MSEP is still going. All announcements about PtN have been vague and open ended with carefully chosen words. It may be now with WDW attendance so low that they will use this time to determine longer term hours plans etc for the parks, who knows.

I honestly don't think they know what they are going to do. WDW CMs don't know what they are going to do. And no one here knows what they are going to do.

I keep hearing that AK hours have been extended but my MDE app still shows 6pm close in November. Where are you guys finding the updated hours?

AK hours for the first week of January have also crept from 6pm to 7pm, so I'm guessing the nighttime stuff is looking more likely...

Edit to add: that was looking at hours on the app, but the travel agent calendar still shows the shorter hours

No pieces of the parade came to WDW so I'm not sure what the poster is talking about.

Not sure that I buy something like that. The Parks division of Disney runs all parks, and manages all park assets. If the management team decides that it is going to WDW, it is going to WDW. The DL team does not make that decision.

If it isn't coming to WDW, it was never coming to WDW.
