One of my issues with getting the dining plan was the idea of eating restaurant food 2+ times a day for 9 days was a bit revolting. Even if the only thing other than the restaurants was various breakfast items in the hotel, our own snacks brought with us and various sandwiches and soups made in the room. especially being able to eat on the go or anytime anywhere. Especially for the kids they arent big restaurant eaters but they do love chicken strips and fries. Okay one can not exist on this for that long. Especially since if they can taste or see pepper on the chicken strips they declare it hot and wont eat it. I'm trying to plan ahead for what is convenient and has what we want instead of wasting time wandering around. Can anyone suggeste where/if I can find the following at CS (with the dining plan)
-ham and cheese sandwiches not prepackaged they can have nothing on them except ham and cheese
-fruit maybe as an alternative to fries like the fast food places do these days.
-peanut butter (no jelly) sandwiches
-basic garden salads (one little lettuce lover), or salad bar
-maccaroni and cheese
alternatively the CM who helped me also said it was possible to get things from CS's such as pot roast although maybe I was misunderstanding her. So any suggetions on that kind of thing would be great.
I guess mostly I want suggestions on the best places/foods you can get at CS's that ARE NOT hamburgers, chicken strips, hot dogs, pizza, spaghetti. Also I'd love to hear what kinds of things people have gotten as snacks on the dining plan, and where.
oh and big fat pickles any of the places have those? we all love them.
