Uma - That is just scary.

Twinkie - In our house it's just the opposite. Chad buys junk food and I tell him to hide it from me. lol. I did find his stash of chips though. I really wanted a few with my sandwich. I just cannot eat a sandwich without some chips.

Lilblue - I hope TJ gets past it soon. What a bummer to be up at 2am with a fussy baby. There is nothing worse.

Tink(even though I'm sure you won't be back) - Isn't that like the pot calling the kettle black? I mean, really, you're tag says you have gas. ;)

Well for now I just put my sim card into Chad's old work phone. So at least I have a phone, even if it's a work phone, huge, and ugly.

I got some more pictures of the kittys this morning. One of them climb about 2 feet straight up the wall and was walking on the window ledge. LOL! I didn't get a picture of that though.

I'm downloading them into the computer right now. It'll take a while to upload though.

I'm off to watch TV and fold clothes.

I forgot to add that I am in need to goog easy quick cheap light chicken recipes. Has to be chicken. I can't eat pork. I need to make a shopping list and I can't come up with anything to make.

Goog morning MommyP.

I'd love to see kitten pics. Did you know somebody dropped a stray pregnant cat on our front porch a couple of years ago. The kids opened up the door and she ran into the house and under one of the boys beds. She started panting with her mouth open. I was like "Look, I like animals and babies, but you are NOT giving birth under my kids bed!"

So, I took her out on the porch and the kids got a little box and put a towel in it and she eventually started giving birth. I'm not going to go into great details, but the last kitten got, um, stuck. She let out this MEOOOOOWWWW OW OW OW! The kids came running outside. They got an education that day, let me tell you.

anyway, I did get the kitten out (it was all black) and momma cat did recover, but I don't think my ds ever did.:rotfl:

BabyN - LOL! Your poor son! Jeremiah asked me yesterday, "How did her kittens get out?" I didn't say anything for a minute and then he said,"I think she pooped them out." I said, "Yes, something like that. God gave her a special place just for kittens to come out." Thankfully he didn't ask about people. They still think babies are all cut out. They've seen a baby story only when it was a c-section. I wonder how long before they realize Mommy never had any cuts before. lol!

I'm uploading the pictures now. Maybe by the time I'm done making out a grocery list they'll be done.

I also forgot to mention that I crave pasta. So make all your recipes include pasta. ;)

MommyP: How about the following chicken recipe. It has pasta. Obviously I googled, so I could copy and paste and not type it out, but it's good. Except I don't use that much garlic, I don't care too much for it.

INGREDIENTS:

* 10 ounces penne pasta
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* 3/4 pound chicken breasts, cut into strips
* 2 garlic cloves, crushed
* 1/2 pound asparagus, cut into 1 1/2-inch diagonal pieces
* 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
* 1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley

PREPARATION:
Boil penne according to instructions on package.

Meanwhile, heat oil in a large nonstick skillet. Add garlic and saute for 1 minute. Add chicken, followed by the asparagus and red pepper; stir for about 5 minutes until the chicken is no longer pink and the vegetables are tender-crisp.

In a large bowl, toss chicken mixture with hot penne and fresh parsley.

My 2 youngest still think all babies are born via C/S but they've seen the dog have puppies, the cat have kittens, and the neighbors cows have calves. The connection will be made any day now. Great, another heart to heart talk with junior.

Thanks BabyN!

I'm going to try that one.

Sounds light and fresh, which is what sounds goog to me lately.

The pictures say they still have 1 hour.

I just remember a really good pasta salad I made this week. It was so good I'm making it again next week. Thought I'd share it with you since I was asking you all for some recipes.

Greek Pasta Salad

3 cups bow-tie pasta
2 cups baby spinach leaves
1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4-1/2 cup Kalamata olives, halved.
1/4 cup red onion, sliced
1/2 cup Kraft Greek Vinaigrette Dressing

Cook pasta, drain. Place in large bowl, toss with a tiny bit of olive oil.
Add remaining ingredients, mix lightly
Cover and refridgerate until ready to serve.

Also, next time you have pasta this is a great non garlic bread.

1 loaf french bread, cut in half
Spread ranch dressing over both haves. LOTS of it.
Sprinkle with mozzerella cheese, LOTS of it.

Bake at 375 for 8 minutes or so. Watch it and when it is light browning around the edges it's done.

Well only 3 pictures uploaded.

This is the only male. We're keeping him. This picture doesn't show how pretty he really is.

The other one just looks like a black ball of fuzz. I am going to try and upload the others again.

Hey all! Awwww on the kitties! I don't even like cats, but they are precious!
This is a chicken recipe I like - but it has rotel in it, so I don't know if it will be too spicy for a mommy to be

Chicken Recipe -
shred cooked chicken
mix it with either cream of something or other soup (pick your favorite) or use campbell's mexican verde soup? something like that. it's cream based and works the best
add rotel (canned tomatoes, spice, onions and peppers)
tear up tortillas (corn or flour both work well)
add cheese

Put it all in a casserole dish and bake until the cheese is bubbly.
I don't have exact portions - I just add stuff until it looks good.

I went to camp again last night - it was prom. The local stores donate dresses and then a seamstress alters them for the kids to wear (a lot of them are on the small side).
Everyone was beautiful! I had lots of fun.

Good morning all !

How the heck is everyone? Is it back to school time yet, or at the least vacation????

Sheesh!

Been a wild couple of weeks here. My mom had surgery on Tuesday but is doing well. We had our church conference/business meetings last week and today we are possibly buying a new truck. Yippee!!!!:cool1:

See ya soon!

They finally finished.

Sounds like we're going to get a storm this afternoon.

I can't believe this is my baby. He looks so big!

Mommy P -- aww on the kittens. I would keep that one too!! Your baby is a cutie. Is that you oldest in the window behind him?

Celery-- you are having to much fun at camp. Did you dress up too?

Hi Dre-- What kind of surgery did you mom have? Glad she is doing well. A new truck how exciting. We have one and I won't drive it , to honking big for me.

Church went will this morning. I could hear her which is good because she is on the shy side. The grade one class was all giddy because they did everything.

One little boy in her class had a mohawk. Head shaved and everything on the sides and painted gold. We were shocked. My favourite was a girl in my son's grade 4 class. She had her hair looking like a volcano. She has long blonde hair and her mother put a cup inside to hold it up then tied it at the top and it flowed down a little. I wish I had my camera. But it would have been hard since we were in church. Most had coloured hair and many ponytails.

Nicholas got to alter serve again. Did another job he didn't know. It was really funny watching him. He had to hold the bible for the priest this time. They lean it on your head. I spiked his hair this morning. :rotfl2: Then he has to ring bells at the right time. He was a little off and a little to strong on the bells...but he was happy at the end when the priest said good job.

Proud Mommy moments.....

Nab - No that's Seth. He's 5.

Tacos again? Mine complain everytime we have tacos that it's too spicy. Even though I use mild seasoning mix. Yet they will dip anything on their plate into hot sauce. I don't get it.

Is that code for your kids are chunky? ;) :lmao: J/K

I didn't see your funny. Sadly I skimmed all the weekend posts.

Is WT Paris' lawyer? Is that why he's been so scarce?

I know it seems we have Tacos a lot but we have them once a week. The kids love them. Mine complain we have to much chicken....:lmao:

Hannah does not like spicy either, but she doesn't put meat in hers because she doesn't eat meat much. Hers is cheese, sour cream and tomatoes in a soft shell.

Nicholas, he love spicy, the hotter the better for him. He fills his so much they bust.

Hi Lil'g--Don't you have the weekends off at some point. You should try chat. We don't bite.

Nab - Seth will NOT eat tortillas for some reason. I LOVE tacos and would make them all the time except it's just a fight with the kids. Not worth it.

We have chicken all the time. I can't eat pork anymore. Ever since my stomach problems started last year it makes me sick. Everytime I eat it it's not pretty. BUT, I can eat ham. :confused3 I can eat it pink, but not when it's the other white meat.

I've been buying one of those fresh pizzas at Walmart every week. One of them feeds our family with a big salad on the side. My kids LOVE salad, thankfully. Then I plan on sandwiches one night and usually on Sunday too. So that only leaves 4 meals I actually have to cook. :rotfl:

Hey everyone, happy Friday!

Back from the dentist, all went well, thanks to shots and nitrious oxide (I love that stuff!) I am still numb on my whole left side. It feels itchy, but you can;t feel scratiching, very odd and annoying.

MommyP, the kittens are adorable.

Lil Blue, sorry about poor little TJ and his sleepdrived mama.

Dre, nice to see you again. New truck, WOOHOO

Uma, I'll have to check out that tread! (not that I am interested in the product)

Celery, prom sounds like fun. Makes me wonder what my DD did with all hers. She has so many pretty ones in highschool.

Betsy, hope you are having fun at the park.

NAB, sounds like you had a great morning.

Hi to everyone else.

DH is at the doctor's right now, so I have the house to myself :woohoo:

Back later, have a great day

No , I didn't dress up for prom - but I did dance a little.
I'm actually getting some work done today - woo! Good for me! now back to it!

Nab-Mom had her gall bladder taken out. The surgeon said that it was rotten and as hard as a rock. He also said that she had two stones the size of golf balls. :scared:

Alas, the truck deal fell through so back to the drawing board. The guy we had going to bid on it for us (it's a repo auction) said that the auctioneer only took one bid and then sold it. It looked like to him that the buyer and the auctioneer had a "little deal" going. Arrgh. Fortunately we are not in any hurry. We have about a month or so to find the perfect one.
