Hi Moo-eee-eeps!

I just got off the phone with my friend who is taking her kids to the MK for the first time tomorrow. It looks like it will be packed- 2 spectros, park open till 11pm AND EMH in the evening. They are the type who just called me for tips and are planning on buying tix when they get their tomorrow :faint: with a party of 14 ( 3 generations)

I wish I was there!

MP- thanks for reminding us so we wouldn't worry tomorrow- we do want a full report on Manna as soon as you are able!

we have had a great day....we celebrated AGAIN......and our kids got us gift certificates for US AIR
Wow! Pumba! great gift- and you sound just like my mom "don't waste your money one us"

hey, twinkle- ...i 'm always excited to hear your postings!

....i'm so crazy like that.
now why would that make you crazy?????
Just kidding! Thanks for the compliment:flower3:

you guys want to hear something weird..but  too?...no kidding,
babies loves looking me in the eyes...:confused3 , you can't ssee from the
pics..but i do have emerald green color. no matter where i go..if there's
a baby around...they're start staring...isn't that funny?

that isn't funny at all- I love green eyes! My eyes were blue till I was about 8- but I was from MinneSNOWta where everyone has blue eyes so I prayed that they would turn green. And they did! They are actually blue on the outside and green on the inside so it depends on what I am wearing. DH has green eyes too- that gives us a 99.99% chance of having green eyed children according to one website. So far two have blue and two have green. But of course eye color is incredibly complicated genetically. Not at all useful for paternity tests. ;)

For some reason, it's FUN to do other people's laundry or weed pulling when it's a group of girlfriends doing it!

!

You know what is really wierd. I love to clean other people's closets. And pack for them. I always have. I also like someone to entertain me by sitting and chatting while I do my chores. Much easier to whip up dinner if someone is talking to me.

We had fun today. Spent a lot of time playing outside together. Well, I was more resting and watching. We had a picnic for lunch and grilled steaks for dinner (we have to clean out the freezer!) DH brought home work and I packed a few boxes too.

I am glad I don't have to go to work tomorrow. I think I'll lay on the couch and eat bon-bons all day :rotfl2:

Twinkie, why don't you come clean out my closets instead? :flower3:

Howdy Howy All!

Cel and I just got home around two hours ago from being in the Smokies for the weekend.

I sat down and made a list of reasons to stay and not to stay with my company. I can come up with more reasons to stay than I can to go. So...I guess I'm staying. For awhile longer anyway. I just hope that I'm not making a mistake. :confused3

I really wish there was a way that I could take a month off from work to relax and recooperate from this blow--because it's just that...it blows!

Oh well...Hey to who it was that went to Frankenmuth...Are we talking Frankenmuth MI?

Yes, Tammy - I went to Frankenmuth, Michigan yesterday. It is a bit of a drive for me, but there is a great outlet mall nearby - so you get two adventures in one day.

If anyone is up for chatting for a while tonight, come on over!

We saw a hat in one of the stores that said My Grandchild is a Dog.
I soooo need to buy that hat. We took the dogs (and the guinea pig) to my mom's on Saturday and my dad wasn't feeling well so Tammy said "Leave your grandad alone!" and my mom said "Don't call him granddad - he'll go ballistic" and my dad said "I ain't no grandfather to no damn dog."
So Tammy said "Leave your grandmother's husband alone."

:rotfl2: We thought it was funny.

Anyway, we're back from our weekend. If I had a bat phone like Moo, you guys would've seen a message yesterday that looked like this: *&^^*)*( $#@w#*&(# REDNECKS *(&^%$### STUPID $#@!#%&^& CROWDS ***********

Heh. Too many people were everywhere and touching me! It sucked! And they were all rude! And the buses in Gatlinburg SUCK!

But all in all, it was a good vacation. (can't you tell from all my complaining?)

Still trying to catch up.

I LOVE Frankenmuth MI. I haven't been since I was 12...but we toured a facility that made beer, and went to my first Christmas store in the middle of summer. I LOVED it. I collect teddy bears...even did at that age. I bought a post card that has a lot of teddy bears on it. Now, I collect Santa Bears. Amber hates it!

I'll try to post zoo pictures tomorrow. There's a cool solid white alligator....only 12 known. You biologists will enjoy.

You people-watchers will appreciate this one picture of a young lady sitting and there's a good 4-5 inches (at least) of bum-crack showing for the thousands of zoo goers to see (i think it was just us who saw that gem). No, fortunately, there was no thong involved,I wont post it here because you can't remove it from your memory if you cast a look at "it" and it's not a nice thing to do. Bless her heart.

I had a mix of sun-screen in my eyes plus allergies from helk but I'll post one of me and Norah too. It's safe from the weight loss showing because it's just our top halves. :cool2:

LIlG- I have a special picture from Disneyland that I seriously took JUST for you!!!! You're gonna like! :yay:

My DH transferred some slides to digital this weekend. It was so fun to see these!!! These are the few pics that were actually taken of us on our Spring Break trip. I'll post a few of the characters, etc. later.

I can only assume this is a Mickey Bar! :mickeybar I LOVED this shirt.

My DH thinks this is from inside Space Mountain.

Mission to Mars?! Not sure that I remember this one, which is not surprising, since it was 30 YEARS AGO!!!

Very short cutoffs were the style back then ;)

Hope you enjoyed my trip down memory lane!

Not sure if they still do this at Liberty Square.

Don't recall whether we rode this - probably not until we took our daughter years later.

I sure wish we had done better at taking some photos of ourselves :rolleyes1 But it was fun seeing all of the bell bottom pants and polyester clothes. Kind of like the Brady Bunch attire, eh?!

Did you know that back then you could always identify supervisors (as opposed to either leaders or guest service managers, as they are called now),

by the white shoes and white belts?

You ask, was that the prescribed uniform?

No, it was he fashion of choice. With Polyester shirts and pants :)

White shoes and belts = authority :rotfl2:

It is pretty fun and amazing to look back that far. Who would have thunk it?

GREAT Pics Moo!

Now where is your 1977 trip report?????????:lmao:

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're assuming I can remember back that far?! Here is a synopsis:

This was a Spring Break trip with my then boyfriend/now DH and best friend at the time. Actually, I believe these photos were taken a day or two after I received word that my Grandpa had passed away. We had planned to stay a bit longer. My best friend had gone with us to Florida and we were visiting a mutual friend from high school who was going to school at the Florida Institute of Technology (I believe). He and I happen to work in the same building now, but in different divisions. It's a small world after all . . .

When we learned we needed to get home for the funeral, my friend decided to stay in Florida visiting our friend, so my future DH and I started driving home and made a side trip to Disney.

My friend wanted me to pay for her air fare home, because her trip was being cut short!!!!!!! I said "no way" because we told her she was welcome to ride back with us and visit Disney on the way and she elected not to. She wanted to spend the rest of the week with our friend. Sadly, she passed away from pancreatic cancer at a fairly young age, leaving two kids behind. I still tear up a bit when I see her kids around town.

I'm not really sure what all rides we rode. Of course there are a few now that weren't around back then. We did see the Tiki Birds - there is a very blurry shot of them that I didn't post. And probably Hall of Presidents and Country Bears. I am guessing that we rode Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise. We have pictorial evidence of Space Mountain. I'll have to see what my hubby remembers. Those were the days of E-tickets, etc., so I'm sure we didn't ride everything on a college budget.

Anyway, after our day at Disney, I think we drove through the night and made it back just in the nick of time for my Grandpa's funeral. I was happy that my Grandpa had gotten a chance to meet my future hubby. Of course it was another year or so before we got engaged.

That was my third trip to Disney, if I am remembering things correctly. My cousin (the one with the spiffy new white sports car) is going to scan the pics from our first trip to Disney in 1972 for me. If she's not too busy running the roads :lmao: I'll have to bug her!

Here is a non-Disney bonus pic for Lil' G that was taken at Greenfield Village/Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn back when I was in college:

Kind of a hoot (to me any way) ;)

Morning all,

Moo I see your light on, are you off another day? or late for work.....:rotfl2:

Cool pictures. Short shorts are back in don't you know.

Love the last picture....you are hot!!!

I was too tired to come back last night.

Between running to swimming after school, go home eat fast (15 minutes fast) get to the ball game out of town, get home cleaning up the kids and get them in bed I was exhausted. I didn't even here hubby come in after work because he was late.

UMA -- are you doing another picture trip report ? You know we love pictures.

Twinkie-- sounds like packing is going will, don't lift anything to heavy.

Celery -- glad you had a good weekend, by all that language it is hard to tell :lmao:

Tammy -- I used to collect teddy bears too. I still have a lot around the house but I sold a lot of them in a yard sale a few years ago. In our last house the basement was done so I had somewhere to put them. Here they were in boxes so I finally got rid of most of them. I also have a lot of Cherished Bears in my China cabinet.

Yep, I'm going in late, Nab. I always have trouble getting back on a normal sleeping schedule after a holiday weekend or a vacation, so I just plan to go in late my first day back.

I should have taken a Benadryl or something last night ;)
