forgot when I walked to the eye doctors this morning......almost two miles.....I nearly froze my fanny off......it wsa 42 and my body was not used to that for sure......I had a quarter of nine appointment and I got home at eleven......took a cab home

I think I remember you, funny lady with a hubby that never takes off his hat... Why are you up so early on a Saturday?

I just sent my hubby and son off to try to cross the border. They have a hockey game in Buffalo at 2:00. They are pretty excited.

I still tease Lowell about his "hat." That term has become a permanent part of "Lowell and Kay lore." Thanks for that. I'm not up any earlier than usual. Lowell is off to an aution, as always, and I am doing the usual rounds of cleaning and laundry.

It's funny that I was up your way a couple weeks ago, and now your family is coming within 45 minutes or an hour of me. I hope your DH and DS have a fantastic time. The weather should be quite nice today.

I hope it is because the new Mama is napping, and has been for a few hours now.

I had a day.

Took 3 fifth graders to a special"Honorary Page for the Day" program. They got to shadow a congressional (State that is) page for the day.

I picked a bad day to try to break in my new sandals. We must have walked a few miles and on hard hard floors the whole time.

Tomorrow is field day at the kids school so I'll be out all day and beat when I get back.

Time to get back to the kitchen already.

I am up earlier than normal for me on a Saturday. It is not sunny here. When Mari gets up, we'll figure out something to do together today. She is heading back to NC early tomorrow.

Kay, are you working on your final trip story chapter? Looking forward to it.

And yes, DING DING DING I just posted another episode which is a rather comical account of our Magical Express trip back to the airport. I never know what episode will be "the last" but I promise to put THE END in bold print when I get there! It all depends on how the "story" unfolds once I start writing. Sometimes a small incident become an episode. Other times I cram in a lot. I'll carry the trip through the flight home to our arrival at home. As long as I don't feel pressured, and keep the episodes short and write them as I find time, I may get another one or two out before I run dry! I felt a bit of my writing mojo come back for this latest episode.

Nab - I didn't guess a time, because when I came back online I figured for sure she had had him by then. But I did guess a weight, 7-9. I think that's pretty darn close!

CSI was the finale. It's to be continued NEXT year.

I have to clean the house today....and do laundry. We haven't been here all week, HOW could it be so dirty?? I've only gotten the kitchen wiped down. I think I'll recruit Jeremiah to clean his own bathroom.

I think we're planning on going to the beach tomorrow.

I had a whole huge post typed out and when I clicked submit the DIS ate it.

Good Mornin - Waiting 20 min before I wake up the kiddos - DH is camping this weekend, he's training adults to be Better Boy Scout Leaders... DS has to go to training for his summer job - Lifeguard!! (he has a job!! )

Prom Night for DS #2 his girlfriend is a senior (and valavectorian! shameless brag!! lol) No common sense - her and her best friend snuck in the house and a snipped off the glow stick tubes and shook the inside chemicals all over his room - and on his bed positioned sticks (not snipped off!) to say Prom? weird... completely...

DD and I had a great mommy and me day yesterday - hope to continue it today! We did a ceramic shop - painted a flower bud vase ('m giving mine to my mom!) and a knick knack box for Father's Day (coin jar?) It was fun, and while you paint, you converse... great investment that!

So we're planning on shopping for a curtain, and I think I"m going to try and isntall a shelf for her room (dh has it on his to do list for over a year mind you!)

Tomorrow we'll go to the Art Institute!

So, does ds bed glow now? Sorry, just curious, my bad Aww, how was the ceramic painting? sounds like fun. I bet she thought it was special being just with you. what a good mom.

My DD slept way in this morning too. She watched the last two Gilmore Girls episodes without me after she went to bed last night I had been holding off watching them, but she said she didn't want to spend her last day home watching TV. So now she went out to show her Grandpa the puppy and I'm sitting home waiting for some clothes to finish drying. Not exactly what I had been planning for today . . .

Oh well, I think we are still going out to dinner and to see Shrek 3 tonight. I can hardly wait to see which restaurant DH picks since we're celebrating Fathers Day early while Mari is home.

Guess I'll watch Gilmore Girls while I am waiting

Hi everyone!

Moo, sorry too about your day. My DD is in NY with her ex-B/F. Hope that doesn't heat up to a point that she want to move there

He was down on the college program working at Disney, they both worked as lifeguards. That was about 3 years ago. He came down recently to visit friends, and next thing I know, she is flying up to visit him.....

I have been working since noon, my busy season is upon me. But ready to take a break now, I am off to read Kay's trippie.

Granddaughter just left .....she wanted me to see her hair do......she is so darn cute.....it started to sprinkle again.......I just asked for the rain to hold off until the photos are done at the college area.........shoot.....it has rained all week so why is today any different.....
She started to ask me if I was going to cry when she graduates......I said of course not and she said......ever so slyly......gramma........!! and I said of course I am.......we have watched you at every stage of your life......we started to look at some of the dorm stuff she will need....like x long sheets for those beds they call them beds i believe....
Watch your kiddos cause next thing you know they are all grown up......My babies are 35 and 37 ......they will always be my babies...
GD and I were reminising and she said .......remember when she stared to develop and she said it was blusont or something that was advertised on tv a long time ago....she always thought that the commercial was a riot and that she needed some of that stuff...and her papa said she was playing to much basketball....

No, Moo, this B/F is before the one I liked. This was pre my dissing days, I only met him once. He was nice and handsome though. Anyway, you don't know about him.

I am going to go take a shower and attempt go get a haircut at a quick cut place, about only way I am getting one soon, as I always forget to set up an appointment. At least I can go with wet hair, as they wet it anyway.....

Hey, I'm still here. I've got about 2-3 hours to go before being discharged. Technically, I could stay until 11:59PM tonight, but no thanks. The hosp. is babysitting me b/c dh and the kids are at the family wedding taking pics. I asked my girls to come back with a full wedding report. Its a beautiful day here in Indy and I'm sure the wedding is just georgous!

I'm sure BNurse is having a great time at the rodeo too. The weather is just perfect from what I can tell out the window any way.
