Uma - I always keep my babies with me in the room too. Except at night if they won't sleep and I am so tired I'm crying. For some reason they always come out wanting to play(only at night of course) and Mama don't want to play at 1AM. So, if after feeding they wouldn't sleep I would call the nurse. She'd bring them back usually 2-3 hours. Although once it was closer to 4. Because for some reason Ethan thought it was way cooler to SLEEP out at the nursery. lol. Anyway, then I feed again and they usually would sleep, if not I'd call my angel back. Thankfully I've always had the best nurses at night. It seems that my night nurses are so much sweeter!

Ahhh! I can't wait to have my baby!

I started thinking yesterday that I don't think I have any new baby things in neutral anymore. After all these boys I got tired of packing it up seperately. I think it's all in with the boy things...if that's the case we might just HAVE to find out what the baby is or if it IS a girl she'll be wearing blue until we can get to the store. lol!! I doubt it's a girl. I think it's my lot in life to have only boys. For some reason. I don't know what I did to deserve that though. ;)

My house is CLEAN! Woo hoo! Now I just have to fold laundry. But for that I have some House of Babies to watch. Then I'm laying on the couch and not getting up for anything. I am SOOOO tired today! Probably just wiped out from my migraine yesterday.

Off to finish mac-n-cheese for the kids.

I have fabulous news! JUST WONDERFUL!!!

My DH got a GREAT job DURING THE DAY!!!! See, having him work ALL night and then try to keep 4 toddlers quiet is NOT good for me at all. He totally throws off my delicate groove when he's home all day. I hate to be a selfish b_tch but I yam what I yam! So there's a glimmer of hope. A tiny one. We shall see.

WOOO HOOO, Uma!!!!!!!!!! Great news! I know the feeling of having to tiptoe around a sleeping DH. Not very convenient, even less so with little kids! I bet DH is happy too.

I'm off to Publix to get some wine and some fried chicken for lunch. I emailed the boss, who is still not answering his phone, that he better let me know soon about the conference all, or I will be down and out for a nap soon..........

:laundy: .....Hoooray! , to lil'lue & timothy j. ! :flower3:

.........new & bouncy ,all~boy, baby! :hug: , nothing else is sweeter

:cake: :bday: :cake: :welcome:, :rainbow:

UMA I so know what it is to have a hubby working shift work. Not fun at all. Then he would tell me every time I yelled at them to be quiet the heard that too. :lmao: Our bedroom is right over the family room too!! So I am really happy for you and your hubby on the new job.

My night nurses were angels too. Having a c section was really painful getting in and out of bed too so it took me forever to get to them.

Hannah wore blue, because I had mostly blue slippers too. Mind you when people came to see me the pink just kept coming.:goodvibes

Don't give up hope Mommy P.

Marita -- hope you don't miss your conference call. I could use a nap too but have a birthday cookie to decorate.

The Office Quotes
(Celery would like these, WHERE is she anyway???)

Dwight: First rule in roadside beet sales, put the most attractive beets on top. The ones that make you pull the car over and go “wow, I need this beet right now”. Those are the money beets.

(Dwight Schrute | Season 3, Episode 20: "Product Recall")
~~~~~~~~~~~
Dwight: Don’t you want to earn Shrute bucks?
Stanley: No. In fact, I’ll give you a billion Stanley nickels if you never talk to me again.
Dwight: What’s the ratio of Stanley nickels to Schrute bucks?
Stanley: Same as the ratio of unicorns to leprechauns.
(Dwight Schrute | Stanley | Season 3, Episode 23: "The Job")
~~~~~~~~
Quote:

Dwight: Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim. I am going to be your new boss. It is my greatest dream come true. Welcome to the Hotel Hell. Check-in time is now. Check-out time is never!

(Dwight Schrute | Season 3, Episode 23: "The Job")

~~~~~~
Dwight [Reading suggestions for health-care coverage: Who thought of this one? Anal fissures.
Kevin Malone: That's a real thing.
Dwight Schrute: Yeah, but no one here has it.
Kevin Malone: [quietly] Someone has it.
Dwight Schrute: In the wild, there is no health care. In the wild, health care is, 'Ow, I hurt my leg. I can't run. A lion eats me. I'm dead.' Well, I'm not dead. I'm the lion. You're dead.
Dwight Schrute: The problem, Jim, is that people who are really suffering from a medical condition won't receive the care they need because someone in this office is coming up with ridiculous stuff. Count Choculitis....Why did you write that down, Jim? Is it because you know I love Count Chocula?
Dwight Schrute: Through concentration, I can raise and lower my cholesterol at will.
Pam: Why would you want to raise your cholesterol?
Dwight Schrute: So I can lower it.
Dwight Schrute: OK, first let's go over some parameters. How many people can I fire?
Michael Scott: Uh, none. You're picking a healthcare plan.
Dwight Schrute: Someone forged medical information, and that's a felony.
Jim Halpert: OK, Whoa, alright 'cause that's a pretty intense accusation. How do you know that they're fake?
Dwight Schrute: [reading from a sheet] Uh, Leprosy, Flesh Eating Bacteria, Hot Dog Fingers, Government Created Killer Nano Robot Infection.
Really, Lil' G? We never would have known... :rotfl:
We love you Lil' G!!!
I wish our hospital allowed water births...that would be sweet!
/
...here's a lil secret or 2 , from what i ( finally -i'm a slow learner)
from life.....working psych. has made things better in my life.
while life is always in a dynamic state [well first sign of life....
is movement?] ....there are "constants" where we can find balance.
security is a need...providing comforts in our ever changing
world.
i think there's something positive to be gain, if we aimed at "doing
things right"...from our family values. at work, this has come into
play..as an intervention for doing corrective measures..just because
it open the door for forgivness, when others make mistakes but
the intentions were to do good.
and if we learn from our mistakes...sucess will eventual
meet up with our choices. :hug: ....as i look back, wow~ willy, i
sure did alot of bouncing around.....but most of all, i feel humble
having found my lil'miss cutie pie to share my life with...i am not
the same person as i was , and i hope to keep on improving every
day.
now that's bring me to this lil' :grouphug: ...that was spear headed
by utahm. 's generous insights. what i think? me> :yay: , ( bruises &
all ).....its a comfort, there's are others similar insights & values.
* it always exciting meeting your "type" at the world, wdw if you
plez!
:rockband: & party: to puimba's grand~ daughter! of course, we
all know where she gets "it"!!! ;)
.........:rolleyes1 ,,,,,i just realized...how many are in a special way
here..started by our lil'mistress of mischievous doer , whose name
i can't think of, by poppins! ....anyhoot....me> thinks I> :wizard: ,
need to keep my lil'miss cutie pie away...we sure don't need to
be setting any records...:laughing:
twinkle, :goodvibes ..you're something special. you know? * its funny
how you all jumping in with all the mothering stuff! [like isay, keep
baby fever away..:sad2: ]
....thanks, pumba, "paper roses".....you know, the album pic..marie
took..she looks just like my sister [same expression]....except,
she has red hair. i saw marie on larry king..she was re-living her
mother's :love: . i didn't realized she started the "children network".
i am even more impressed. we like st. jude, but i agree...we need
more children hospitals...& mcdonald houses.....up north, columbus
children is one of the best...:thumbsup2 . our future is our children.
we "need" to protect them ...& nuture them into young adults...
much like utahm...look how darling those 2 were at the prom. this
is why disney only goal.....to serve families. maw on cruises...are
so excited and happy...& by taking a timeout & being happy...is
a gift to all of us! :grouphug:
guys..all i know...i had the privilege of working with brilliant/dedicated
reseachers...toward developing life~support systems to neonatal needs.
ob--doggone it..there's no excuses that all departments should being
doing things right [at least trying to]......compare to my quarter in school
versus the 3 years working there....& " not losing one baby..even the
one we helped deleivered...at 26 weeks! and that's why my wife's
experiences..were so shocking...cam you imagined looking up?, &
seeing your husband ..in the delivery position and not your doctor...
:eek: ...no wonder, she gets a lil':mad:
:thumbsup2 job, lil'blue....take care of our future...:flower3:
LittleBlue - Is your DH staying with you at the hospital? We are blessed to have all my family here. So my boys stay with my Mom and Dad and Chad gets to stay with me at the hospital. It would be SO boring without him there! Goog call on staying longer! I have thought about how nice it would be just to go home early. My mom would even keep the boys longer if I asked. But once you go home resting is over. Ya know? There isn't anyone to take away your towels and bring you new ones. No one brings you food AND cleans it up. No one to bring you juice cocktails and slushys. It's really kinda like a spa stay for us Mama's. :rotfl:
BabyN - What are your feelings on Mom's who ask the nurses to watch the babies at night so they can get some sleep, even if they have a DH staying with them? Chad is a wonderful husband...but when it comes to having a new baby he isn't much help. First of all, he can't feed them. ;) And second of all if he doesn't get his sleep the marriage is over. :rotfl: So the last few babies at night I've asked the nurse to take him to the nursery until he needs another feeding. For some reason my babies NEVER sleep until we get home from the hospital. Kaleb actually stayed awake in the middle of the night wanting to nurse for 2 hours straight. I finally gave in and called the nurse. He was a perfect angel for them. :rolleyes:
The nurses don't mind at all (at least where I work). It's in the job description. AND we understand, mommies might not get a break again until who knows when.
In fact, one of my favorite things to do is to rock a little baby to sleep in the nursery at 2 o'clock in the morning. I say to myself, "They actually PAY me to do this?"
UtahM: We never give nursing babies bottles, unless medically necessary and then we always tell the mom first. Tsk tsk on the nurse who did that.
Well, guess what? My neighbor (does a mile down the road count?) is taking ds to his baseball game tonight. Her son is on the same team. SOOOOO, that means I will be leaving shortly to visit my buddy LittleBlue soon. :woohoo: Can't wait to see her and baby TJ. Have a nice night everybody. :wave:
Congrats. lil blue
UM congrats on DH new job . :goodvibes :goodvibes
MommyP i don't think i told you congrats on expecting :cutie:
well off to clean up the house and do some shopping we are gonna load up the kiddos and go see Shrek the 3rd at the drive in tonight..:thumbsup2
have a great day :grouphug:
Spongie -- let us know how it is. The critic this morning said it wasn't as good as the first two and gave it 2 stars out of 5. But usually if they say a movie is bad it isn't. Kids will still like it.
They have a lot of toys out of Shrek that is for sure. That and for the Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
I am guessing that we are the only ones with a long weekend? The traffic is crazy out there this morning. Everyone leaving early for it too.
This weekend and Canada Day are the only days we can use fireworks here. We usually just sit in the backyard and watch everyone elses. Cheaper and safer that way.:lmao:
My husband on 3rd shift for the majority of our marriage. The few times he went to first, we MADE go back because he couldn't adjust his sleep body clock and was absolutely miserable. Our girls were raised with him sleeping during the day and we think that is why they're so quiet.
We've had a big drop in temperature here- only in the 50's.
Nab, what are your plans for your long weekend? Going to be quiet here- girls are studying for finals and my hausband is working the weekend.
I want to see Shrek but that may have to wait until next week.
Poly -- we would have gone camping but hubby is taking Nicholas to a hockey came in Buffalo and Hannah has a birthday party to go to tomorrow. Then hubby has to get back to studying and is going into work to study there where it is quiet on Monday.
I just hope it gets warmer. I want to put the mulch in my garden. It is sitting out in the garage since we bought it.... It was in the 40's this morning.
We will be going out for dinner tonight. Hannah's choice for her birthday. I'm afraid she is going to say Chuck E Cheese. Maybe it will be slow and empty because of the long weekend...
LISTEN UP!
:yay: :yay: It's National BINGO night!!!!! :yay: :yay:
Go to abc.com to get your very own BINGO cards to print and play at home!
We're gonna make snacks and play along! If We win, DVC!!!!! (It could happen!)
WB Celery!
I am dead tired, so I am off to do some mindless game playing :3dglasses
Well, after making nice with the GM's secretary (never hurts), sending a bunch of emails, talking with my new associate about her starting Monday (finally got access to our LAN drive, after 1 1/2 weeks) and accepting a welcome lunch for new associate on Monday at the Contemporary Steakhouse and a fair well lunch for another one on June 1 (place TBD), I am ready for another NAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yet another welcome lunch to come for another new associate, named Glinda! Wasn't that a wicked witch in that movie, which escapse me now (I'm TIRED!) Never met her, the boss hired her.
Back later!
Here is a picture of the birthday girl...she loved her cookie cake can you tell...
DSCN0695.jpg
We went to Chuck E Cheeses for dinner. It was almost empty because of the long weekend.
I am going to watch the Bingo show too!! Didn't know you could play along.
