GOOd morning,

...to c-girl. however, my gut feeling told me, that was just
a lil bump... when she said reacted with "not wanting to go"...,
a corrective measure was coming. [ one of your most endearing
traits..is being up front and truthful,

, hearing all the baby news/, new & old stuff. ha!,
it's so funny..how i can relate from my experiences of 30 y.ago.
( truly,i was a "baby nurse-"brand new"-working in baby land)
* those babies..are now in their 30's. ......there is no such thing
as a routine delivery--high anxiety, even when everything goes as
plan..cos as babyn [here], knows, things can change very, very
quickly. what is the only true sign of pregancy?...ha~ha, the
delivery of the baby. i have always thought that was funny.
however, i
feel very disappointed in our "lack" of progress toward developing
better delivery "assistance" to the mother/child. ......then they
started showing those comm. 1/166 children...are atuism????
that better not be right!!! & if so...we better be looking immediately
of what "damage" we are doing in the labor/delivery rooms???
.......what i never expressed , was a very sad delivery, of my
wife's brother & his his wife...
, their first boy ended up totally
brain damage....* of course, the dr. & hosp. ,...blame genetics.
not so funny, they both did the complete genetics counseling..
came back totally neg.
. now by deduction..what went
terrible wrong. i would have to hate living with that.
......because my assignment was at a military facility....they did
free prenatal care. why? are these visits soooo important. wts,
b/p, so forth...seem very lilttle..but correcting problems before
they can "grow"....i was there for 3years...and the results, we
never loss one infant. [ one later was a crib death, one died
after birth...genetic defect].....compared that when i worked 3 mos,
nursing quarter, in ob..., where most motehrs had no prenatal
care=3 infants deaths, and a big rise on problems.
..the message i was trying to get across before, there is no excuse
for "us" in the medical profession...not to be improving....every day.
we need to understand what at stake, and adopt standards -that
have been proven, to provide the "assistance" women need to
bring forth new life under the best possible conditions,
for the mothers & their babies.
"we"..esp. my lil'miss cutie..should have never been placed in
jepoardy..from our doctor/nurses. we made it, but only by the miracle
my wife performed....and the trauma we experienced. [ there is no
way to have described her scream...even today she does not recall,
well..i was there...& in all of my experiences...never, ever~ heard
the soul yell....again....i saw the
on all the students...
..they didn't walk out..the exploded out of there.
..i can't even begin to imagined..your present situation,
of "tight quarters"...but i understand the descriptions. sorry. [ i
know little comfort
]. my wife's due date was april first.
he was born april 21st....2 weeks over....,she hadn't went into
labor? cos his head 3 weeks earlier..was so round, he was
hitting up against the cervix....,3 more weeks of growing, in
a life support system..only designed for 40 weeks, so it was
failing,....."we" were left by ourselves as the rn came from
the nursey...and had little labor experienced...on pit., when i
realized he was in the canal & in deep trouble...while my wife
now in the worst part of labor....all i could do..was let her know
where she was at & the baby life was totally dependant on her.
..talk about pulling a "rabbit" out of the....
we can now, because she accomplished this miracle,
.....it look like there's alot of room for improvments for our
delivery system.
. sooo important.

you know, they ignored patrick's head measurment...i saw. you
know the lil'chart...his was above the top line....
.now
look at him..running around chasing girls and working on his
car. ..maybe we better never mentioned the trouble he caused
to any potential "mothers" of our grandchildren?

It was my fault for praying about my fear of pushing... I could handle everything else, but pushing out 10# babies whose heads were the same circumference as their shoulders isnt easy...
