Slow day! The smoke in the air is so bad you can't see the sky. It's supposed to be cloudless today, instead it looks overcast. If you look down the road you can't see more than 2 blocks away. :scared:

It's horrible, we actually made the kids come inside because the smoke of so thick! :scared1:

There are a few fires south of us, one 5 miles wide in near the everglades. Plus they said earlier we were getting smoke from fires in northern Fl. and Ga.

Marita - Any smoke up there?

Nab - I don't know what's up with her. I just know that she can't ever tell her no. They always talk about Ivy like she is a terror and for me she ALWAYS listens. It's amazing how well behaved a child can be with structure. Sometimes she comes half dressed, or in layers, or in her jammies because when her Mom tried to get her dressed Ivy told her no. :confused3 If my 2 year old told me no it would not be pretty. I just don't understand people. She comes in, says, "want to get down?" Ivy says, "no" and that's the end of it. I have to take her. :confused3 At least she doesn't let her other kids come inside very often anymore.

Celery - You sure do travel a lot! Have fun. Wave to Twinkie for me. :wave2:

Hi Poly, Kelly, Kay, Moo, Lil G, Sandy! :sail:

Tacos tonight. They sounded oh so good last week. Now they don't.

When does Uma come home? Are we doing anything to trick her this time? Anyone have any ideas?

Dre - A whole wheat donut?

That's TMI.

;)

Mommy P-- I miss read that then I thought the mother wouldn't put her down until you took her. Yes my kids never said no to me either. :confused3 Some don't want the battles I guess. But it doesn't help them in the long run. I can't believe some of the parents on Super Nanny that to that.

Hi Dre-- I am sure you look fabulous, you looked great in those clips. Do you have a new outfit to wear to show off?

Meetings are going good. They are done for the day. I'm going to change my shoes then go to dinner.

Marita - Any smoke up there?

In some areas there is some, not near me though and not near Disney.

In fact, they are having a piece about the local news right now about what to do about the smoke smell in your home. They say to keep wiping down surfaces several times a week, changing air filter once a week, and putting a deodorizer in the A/C duct.

Back to work for me now..........

It was actually pretty tasty surprisingly enough. I'm sure the fat grams in it made up for the lack of calories! :lmao:

Nab-I don't have a new outfit to show off. Maybe I should go shopping? :confused3 ;)

Mommy P you do have the best 6 year old. I had to do my own vacuuming.

I half the house cleaned and half the laundry done. Still have to go out and get that cake before he comes home from school.

We told him we would take him out for dinner tonight too. Hope it isn't Mc'Donalds.

Poly -- Your doing laundry, did you get something on your hen suit? How is your daughter did her headaches go away?

Wonder how Eeyore's son is doing
?

Little Blue-- does Thumper have a real name, I can't remember if you know the sex of the baby? Did you say it was a boy?
Thumper is a boy. We're naming him Timothy James, TJ or Timmy for short.

I'm sorry, but this post is just :rotfl2: sorry to the whole wheat bagle eater. MommyP, how are you feeling today?

Grump is/was a OB nurse! :woohoo:
2 nurses, babynurse and grump :yay:

Hi everyone.

Had another one of those days .

No Nab and Lilg- I'm neither pregnant or grumpy- just plain worn out.

Well I didn't think you were Poly. But pregnant women are worn out too....:lmao:

Stop having those days will ya....

Dre is it a donut or a bagel? Get shopping girl!!

Little Blue-- I like the name Timmy. TJ. My nephew is a BJ. It stands for Brandon Joseph.

:yay: :woohoo: :dance3: YAY!!!!!!!!! The Twinkies have a new house! AND. No flooding in their sold house!!!!!!!!!!!

To everyone who used them: I got a kick out of the pukin' smilies :lmao:

MommyP, I hope you turn the corner soon and your tummy stops acting up. My lungs would have trouble with all that smoke in the air. My hubby keeps wanting to burn our brush pile, but it has been too windy and I asled him to wait until sometime when I'm not home to do it. Between the one neighbor who burns grass clippings that smolder for 2-3 days, the other two who burn trash, and the skunks, I can hardly ever leave the windows open.

Nab, please let us know how the birthday celebration went.

Lil' Blue, I'm picturing that you're so used to calling the baby Thumper that that's the nickname that will stick!!!!!

Dre, Marita just wants you to do some shopping for her, too, she hates it so much :rotfl:

I did a little shopping tonight and got a pair of shorts and a cute casual shirt that I can probably wear to work. I had a bad food week, though, and went up a bit instead of down. I bought a new 3-month food journal today and am going to try to get back to counting my points more carefully.

Celery, hope you don't get any unexpected visitors again tonight. Scary!

Have a better day tomorrow, poly :sunny:

I imagine Pumba is pretty busy today helping with making arrangements for her MIL.

Barry Gibb songs on AI tonight, yay!!

Back in the 70's, one of nephews lived with us for a while, and he was big into disco dancing. He tried to teach me,but quite frankly, I sucked at it........

But I did own one of those skin-tight danceskin outfits, with a wrap skirt, in burgundy.

Anyone remember those? (MommyP, you are exempt from that question)

Marita-- I do remember those. Was never skinny enough for one of those. Bodysuits were big in the 70's.

I don't think any of them are doing very well tonight.

Hi, Marita! I remember those outfits. I bet you looked SMASHING in it!

I love me some BeeGees, but DH has control of the TV on Tuesday nights. I am lucky to be able to watch Gilmore Girls off TiVo

I always have the controller Moo. He watchs 24 on Monday and that is about it unless I don't have anything to watch. He likes House too.

Don't know what will happen when the kids stay up later and want to watch something different.:lmao:

I told my sister I can't believe Nicholas is 10 and she then tells me don't forget I am 10 years older too..... I never thought of it that way but it is so true.

Nab, answer is another TV! We have 4 tv's in the house (one in the kitchen)

Nab, I wasn't impressed either till Melissa Doolittle just did her second song. She is definitely my favorite, she has a powerful voice.

Letting hubby control the TV most of the time helps keep the peace  I am usually just DISing anyway and I'd rather sit in the living room evenings than cooped up in a bedroom. Wish we had a family room in this house.

Nice comment by your sister, Nab.

Here was my GACK! moment of the day: my cousin sent me a picture of her early 50th birthday present from her hubby. A white Chrysler Crossfire convertible! :scared1:

Marita, this was my cousin Gail who you met.

I am GREEN with envy!!!!! I'll consider myself lucky to get some money toward a digital camera (for the September WDW trip) from my hubby for my milestone birthday.

Wow Moo that is quite the birthday present for your cousin. Is your birthday while you are in WDW?

House is coming on so I think I will go watch it. All these shows will be going into repeats soon.

Wow, nice car!
Moo, make DH feel guilty.
Tell Gail she is a lucky lady!
