nab - I really don't have that much to pack up.
Tammy's taking all the dishes, other than a few of my favorite glasses.
I have to pack my snowglobes, but I have all of the original boxes with styrofoam -
my sewing and craft stuff is already in crates -
I just have to pack my books and dvds.
Ben's going to do all the heavy lifting.
Should be relatively simple.

mommyp- I'm so proud of you for being so close to prepregnancy weight! Great job!!!

As in more than one? Sorry Cel, this made me laugh. Again.

babycow - Can I come watch from the kitchen window? I don't know for sure if I'm going to have sattelite when I move and I probably won't have DVR. :(

Sure. Just tell Snarkgirl to "scootch" over. I even throw snacks out once and again. Does anybody remember that tv show "Once and Again"? Just free associating, ignore me.

WT - of course, more than one!

where else would I store my celery fabric? :confused3

babycow - Yay! Stalker party at sunnybrook farm!

Big L - steal us some popcorn!

GOOG GRAVY MAVY -

I'm trying to buy some more itunes - dh just :rotfl2: at my playlists!! I was thinking of adding Lady Marmalade, Play that Funky Music, I did add Awesome God - and of course all my country stuff!! couldnt find the Muppet Movie Soundtrack!

I forgot, oh DVC and DDP is all set!! :woohoo:

Looking for my packing list!!

I cant think straight!

:yay: ..osu..sure know how to lose....* i mean that in a good way.
i'm really really beginning to follow them!...their coach is such a class
act...even in defeat.

wowsers...for them to be in an "off year".....good thing...their special
teams....failed..or i really believe..they would have won. esp. that
roughing the punter....

....however, i had lil'time..as one of downstairs....bathroom malfunctioned!

we already have one "pool"..we sure didn't need a second. & because our
basement never leaks....& me being a real pack rat.....:headache: ,

oh well...i guess...that's one way of getting rid of stuff.....too bad, it
mostly mine..instead of my lil'sweetie 's junk!

i'm also busy...getting our pics...to the "shop"..dwatts, nothing easy!

..wt?...the buckeyes only lose..3 seniors..& only one of them a regular
starter.....very sloppy game....* i sorta expected..osu..since this was
a new team...but...very surprise..how poor their special teams played...
something ..i think their coach..will howl..about!

..as stated before...they really don't need to do a palyoff..just tweak
the non-conference games......

Celery - I never really got caught up. What are you moving into?

Evening! I was too busy with work today to post, but I did sneak in a little reading! Melinda, loking forward to seeing hat word you made. Lynette is ahead of me currently!!!

Sorry - I guess I have a habit of confusing people... I'm a FEB birthday girl!! ;) One month from today!

Monica you got your exercise in!!! wootwoot!! Today it is RAIN! Tornado hit close by here (30 miles is too close for my comfort anyway!)
LOL, Sandy! We better get your birthday on our calendar for next month!

We had rain here today too, but no tornados, thank goodness. I know what you mean about too close for comfort. We have had tornadoes within 5 and 10 miles of us the past few years. It is pretty scary.

SO glad to hear you got your DVC issues worked out :dance3:

I was not impressed with the woman who gave us a DVC tour during free dining. But I went into it saying we weren't looking to buy for at least a year. I really want to hold out for the Contemporary. Especially after hearing WT's comment about the annual fees . . .

moo - Poor cash!!! He wooks so pitiful!
But I like your daughter's hair.
I am a hotT college chick, after all. :)
Yes, you are a hotT college chick like PJ and bbn!!!

I'm going to call Mari to see how the poor wuppy is doing.

Oh Cel.....I wish I could help you.......I love helping others.......honest

Did you see who is on Rachael Rays Show........My most favorite hunk....MIKE ROWE.......to see him without a shirt on is the ultimate.......he is GORGEOUS..
I guess I need to Google this guy

Cel, I am the opposite of Nabbie - I hate the carrying but don't mind the packing. I'd help pack to, if I were closer. But overall, I HATE MOVING!!!

Moo- the cone of shame! Now that's funny! Love your dd's hair. If you want her to get rid of it, just fall in love with it and wonder out loud how it would look on YOU. This technique of master manipulation works wonders on my Jordan...whom I've persuaded not to get peirced, tatoo'd, and funky hair'd. At least hair isn't permanent. Poor PUPPY!!!!!!

Oh, and my Jury duty is back on. Blaaahhhh! It's the week of Feb. 18th. Remember how Fred Flintstone swore? Something like: "Rass-in-frassin-rick-in-rackin'......" that's how I feel about that. I'm not a fan of the law except for Boston Legal. What if I just go in saying "Fry em!" or "Lock em up" Wait, the prosecuting attorney would snatch me up. Prolly it's just petty crimes. If I have to serve, I'd rather it be something interesting. AAAAACK is an appropriate expletive. heh.
Too funny, Wendy, about your Jordan strategy! I guess I finally got used to the bright highlights. Cone of shame is DD's term :rotfl2:

I have yet to hear when my jury duty will be. I sent in the completed form weeks ago and am waiting to hear when :confused3

E, I loved that Once and Again show!!! Not sure what caused you to free associate that. We have three TiVos in our house  Thanks to hubby. If I want something recorded, I have to program it myself popcorn:: And watch it in the spare bedroom.

Lil G, sorry to hear about your flood :scared:

MommyP, sounds like things are going great! We want to hear how baby Isaac is doing after your appointment. Wow, you have done a fantastic job losing your baby weight!!! Wish I had that much discipline.

mommyp - into my mobile home with my brother as a roommate. It should be interesting!

I am pooped.........we are almost done the bedroom.....at my mamas.....we went thru all the jewely.....now remember she is 93 years old so alot of the stuff is YUCKY.....big gawky stuff.....but she had some nice stuff from saudi Arabia, Ireland, Egypt, England, and other great countries.....gave those back to my dear brother as they traveled and got mom stuff from each country they visited.....
we had alot of heirlooms and the jewelry was beautiful too.....my favorite pieces were the tourmalines taht are just beautiful.....opals......and some other stuff too..

Pumba, my little sis (half-sister) received her grandmother's opal ring. She really cherishes it but worries because it is so fragile so she just wears it for special occasions. Sounds like you're making slow and steady progress!

When my DD was home over Christmas, she went through my jewelry box and asked for a couple things. I let her have them even though one was pretty sentimental to me. I figure it is best for her to have it now and know the story behind it.

Forgot to say bye and have a great trip to Allie (in case she still has some time to read the thread before leaving)!!!

Hiya, Twink! Hope things are settling down a bit for you :)

Cheryl ....remind your sis to put glycerin on it every once in a while.....for some reason that is good for the stone itself........I cant remember why.......I had three double opal rings....with seed pearls down the center.....one was an original and the jewely place broke them both or (stole them) they were just the most beautiful colors around....they were only supposed to fix the setting........then we took them to court and they were required to have one made .....so we went and ordered it and then the place refused to pay for it cause it was expensive to make.........so we bought it and went back to court......they were required this time to either pay for this or have one made......I said make me another one.......so they ended up paying 800 bucks to replace it and like I said........three double opal rings with seed pearls down the center...one goes to daughter......one goes to dil and one is mine.....

Opals - my mom's best friend went to Australia, and mom gave her a good $$ to buy her an opal - I think it was about the size of a half dollar (but oval shaped) Gorgeous!! Well, mom wore it near a hot tub - and it cracked, mom is still upset about it!! So you are right to be careful, and you're right to add a drop of glycerin, just make sure you do NOT put in any kind of lotion - or perfumes...

Jewelry - my grandma was very very poor growing up, grandpa was a train engineer, so they lived modestly - well when she passed away, mom split it with her sister, then when I visited mom she was showing me the jewelry (and we do have a lot of costume jewelry - I love that clunky stuff Pumba you might want to save it for the grandkids dress up trunk!! ;)

So I slipped on a pinky ring tiny diamond, and mom didnt notice... so I kept it... :rolleyes1 and actually that is a time honored tradition between my mom and grandma - grandma was always giving us rings, then taking them back - if we noticed she'd give them back, if we didnt notice it missing, oh well!!! It took mom months - but she asked, and she was laughing and said I could keep it!!

Then when mom had too much to drink, she told ds that she would help buy him an engagement ring, ds believed my mother... and was highly disappointed when she claimed never to have said such a thing... then felt guilty and gave ds grandmas engagement ring - fdil had it cleaned and appraised and was told that it was 3/4 carot and highly valuable cut!! fdil felt so guilty because so many had never seen that ring (relatives at the funeral!) I had to remind her that was dad's side of the family - and it was given in love, and to wear it with love - and to know my parents are still together, my grandparents marriage lasted 50 years, dh and I are on 26 years, so wear that ring proudly!!

Marie, I never heard to put glycerin on an opal. Seems like I have heard of olive oil though. But it seems like that would smell funky over time! I'll let my sis know about the glycerin.

That is sad about your ring. I worry about stone swapping during repair work. My diamond's not all that big, but it is a very nice stone.

I have an opal ring necklace. Haven't really looked for it in awhile.

Not a big jewelery person.

I do have pearls that I bring back from Margerita Island when we were on a cruise. I think we paid $ 300. for them and they are appraised for $1200. They are gold and very different. I know you can't get perfume on them either.

Celery-- sounds like you have everything under control for the move. I would not want to have to move all the junk we have gathered over the years.

Lil'g-- sorry about your extra swimming pool. Want me to send the ground hog your way....Oops thought that it was from the spring thaw we been having not a bathroom malfunction.:rotfl:

hogged.gif

someone looking for this guy??!!

Pearls - they should be the last thing you put on (after hairspray, perfumes) and the first thing you take off - wipe with a soft cotton cloth - you shouldnt dip them in the washing solutions, usually too harsh!! I made a "case" for them, a soft polartech material from Joann fabric, dd read that pearls should be kept from being scratched in a regular jewelry box, sew a pouch for them!!

I didnt realize you were up to playing Cheryl!!

well its keeping my mind off stuff! (looks like it will be a quick game!!)

I'm watching Biggest Loser also - such stories!!

Marita we leave 4 AM Thursday - should be at MCO around ten, get to resort, go to WOS tada!!
