yes, nabby girl, she is a keeper...even in all her girly ways.

 ..., [ ok, i sorta threw that lil'after thought....in there, cos i know
..it will cos reactions....

nurses..are soooo funny people...& are very practical..
[ thinking of those iam currently working with. when you must
redirect...& define reality for a living, encourages taking liberties
with mental images.] :hippie: ..sooo if one understands what others
"great expectations"....are, it isn't hard to add....a lil'miss' directions..,

ha!..i made a funny...that i know the ladies..@ work will :lmao:

why work?....we're getting hammer lately, . yuo go in..and
you're not sure when you wil leave...:scared:

....teachers...., when i commented, i was prompted by my old high
school yearbook, when i was doing somthing else. who knows, why
i was tempted....to glanced it over? however, i was very surprised
the "news"..doing stories..on our poor state of :teacher: s.

...* but not completely surprise...because this has a way of happening,
based on similar past experiences.

...i have no teacher's backgrounds except my interactions with my younger
brother. and my oldest sister.

however, it has become self evident....teachers are in positions to have
major impacts....on youth growth/developments, physical & mental aspects.

..it just my personal experiences...that has me wondering "how much?",
educational...institutions are providing their students? whatever it
is, i believe there are major gaps in creating a lack of knowledge of a lack
of knowledge...in our today's elementary curriculums. across the boards.

to me, teachers & nurses...share alot of common bonds. esp. in personality
standards.

you know?, it isn't surprising ...student's clicks. but the real damages are
done by teachers, recognizing and separating students by their "clicks".
[if lonliness the leading cause for emotional pain then "isolating" is the
primary behavior producing the feeling ] . self worth....well, as i noted before
since i received nothing positive from my schools...it's a good thing i
blew it off...and sought alternatives. the point is, self worth, is effective
by the feedback from others , rather we care for it or not. children are
very vulerable...because they have limited support systems & ways
to expand on them. [ i was lucky..that there were others in my "world"
that were aggressive..in supporting me.] human potential, should not be
limited by standards of the few or desirable...the cure for cancers..most
lkely have already had come & go. probably within the minds of those
labeled as retarded by the general population. :rolleyes1 . and i can't
stressed enough...just because a student has diffcuties with today
schools...no ways, any indications, that they lack greatness.[ * all my
teachers...ignored...any efforts...to offered me any teachings..from
grade 1-12. period. however, i just redirected my learning from outside
sources...funny, my peers , became very interested in this knowledge.]

let's see....in college, all my grades..balloon up. one would expect the
opposite even by my own expectations..[ if i was reviewing my own
stories...]

..one of the biggest clicks..that needing addressing..is the "allowances"..
made by $. and thus, you have our son's story...while we were both
college graduates..me & my wife...were not endowed by either side of
our families...[for numerous reasons]. sooooo we "built" our life together,
by our own hands..starting @ the bottom. my wife, was in her junior
year.., osu for nuclear med..and was chicago. i was carrying all our
expenses, so i was also a naval officer in the reserves.

so went our oldest into our local schools system. meaning, he was not
dressed in fancy clothes. however, we never knew..there was a problem
until i went to the first open house. shocking by all accounts!....:scared1:
what a teacher..sending all his papers..home. with accolades galored!
reality was...a teacher, excerising her position in the worst possible
way..her own judgments. i sorta pop that balloon...when i walked thru
her class room door. as soon as she saw me, i knew she had been
abusing my son. { her shocked face..was a dead give away}. abuse may
be..a strong word..but accurate. joseph, show me your desk...( i already,
knew..but i wanted to verfied...for the upcoming corrective measure.)..

...his desk was by himself...in the corner. all the other students had
stickers and designs..all over them...he had nothing. because he was
not well dressed..by her standards...she made her judgment..he didn't
have parents..who cared about him. she was wrong. now she was
"given" the lessons....one can imagined...from our family pics..what we
valued...

our families...is the way we make a living. :flower3:

Congrats on the closing! :woohoo: :woohoo: What will you guys do to celebrate?

I am currently thinking about going into the kitchen and making cookies. We only have ingredients for sugar cookies though, which is fine with me. ;) I am going to use my new knowledge from Good Eats to attempt to make them chewy. I have never been able to find a recipe that was chewy, even if it claimed to be.

Isn't that celebratory enough?

That's about as goog as it is going to get. ;)

I'll be at the scary Kroger at 6. Watch out.

Sell the house you don't live in.
While you're at Kroger, can you pick up tammy's refill on valium?

and stupid ex roommate won't sell the house. grrr. He LIKES paying a 1700 mortgage. and having 2800 square feet for two people and one dog.

Now about that Harry Potter book.......I finished number two and I sort of borrowed number three from my neighbor so I can "see" if I like this book or not.........still not sure....hahaha....I am nuts I know.....
Maybe you'll decide by the end of the 7th book if you like it or not. :rotfl2:
Celery - I will try and take a picture of the floorplans soon and will try to post the picture before the house is actually built. ;)
YAY! I think I'm going to go and look at floorplans now online!

Cel, the doll is 23 inches tall (that's 5 inches taller that AG dolls), but it's not Chucky-esque at ALL!
23 inches sounds acceptable. I guess I approve.

I am going to use my new knowledge from Good Eats to attempt to make them chewy.
I love sugar cookies! I love alton brown! Yay!

:yay:

:goodvibes ..to utah m....:rolleyes1 what have you done..with marie
fainting....?

..you know?..if i was concerend about a "public" image...i just
think going around offending others..is not the best way to
accomplish a..following?

...marie?...my wife was watching..i just passing by. ok?..right when
the judge....begun evulating them? honey?...who doing that "hyper-
breathing?"....sounded like a freight train...:rolleyes1 , my wife...stated
..get away!..next thing, i know..my lil'miss proclaimed...marie fainted.
.....look honey...she is hyper vent., just before....whatever raTIONIZATION
she offered...reality is: if one hyper vent long enough..your body will
correct the inpending chemical inbalnces. its just the ways we work.
however, a very common cause...for..hyper vent..is an anxiety dis.
& to control others...as in manipulation.

...ok, @ work ,we discussed ...what are the needs? for this show, other
then for these... famous [ but no longer in the lime lights] ....we agreed,
if we had our ways, with the network..get 'em off the stage..and give
new people a chance. [ i think fame..has this side effect..its cloud
the differences between self-realization & selfishness...if one shows no
interests in others...there are no ways to maintain lasting relationships.]

ps...a single relationship...requires @ least 2 people participating in meeting
each other needs....* after reading all my lil'miss stars' mag....say alot about
being a happy nobody...:coffee:

...from my yearbook..." for most of us,knowledge of our world comes largely
through sight, yet we look about with such unseeing eyes that we are
partially blind. [rachel carson]. * but the person who "recognized" the
her statments, was a fellow student..who became a mother & killed by
driver running a red light. again, i never read any feelings toward my
year book.

..in aspects, the ways... you all care & share with each others, gives new
hope for the world being in harmony. :hippie: . which i think is really :cool2:

..and :cheer2: ..cos remember...my babies..are also living here. regardless
how /what/ wealth or fame..is there anything more blessed, than finding
someone to share life with? ithink not.

now back, to the slave pit...:wizard:

Well, no celebratory sugar cookies. I don't have eggs. So, no celebrating. How about celebratory chicken breasts coated in crushed ritz (No offense WT) and pan browned in butter? That's what's for dinner. Plus salad and fresh corn on the cob.

Celery - You know Alton's other show where he is riding a BMW motorcycle and traveling town to town eating? Well one Sunday on the way to church a man on a BMW motorcycle zoomed past us on I-75, even his jacket looked the same. LOL! I can't imagine what he would be doing down here though, we only have chain restaurants and places you can catch the funk. ;)

Oh but Allie! :welcome: Good to see you over here!

HAVE A GREAT DAY TODAY, EVERYONE!

Thanks, glad to be here!

Welcome, Allie!! :welcome:

Thanks for the welcome! Yeah that is Lexie's job over on our peep thread. :)

Glad to meet ya'!

Welcome Allie :cheer2:

Thanks! Now I get to meet the infamous NAB. I've heard about you on many a TR. ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I slept like a baby till 3 am. One child had bad dreams. One child had a stomach ache. One child (golden) just has the bad habit of coming and crawling into our bed about that time each morning. The constant stream of the other two kept him awake. Seriously- we needed a revolving door between 3 and 6 am.

The bad dreamer did go back to sleep and is now fine via poptart therapy.
The sicko did throw up at 7:30 am after moaning and groaning all night. He feels better. Glad to be home from school. Now wants to be waited on hand and foot while he watches TV. Ha. I just sent him back to bed.

Sorry about your sleepless night. Guess your kiddos are getting you ready for that NO SLEEP you will have once the new one arrives. ;)

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

BOUT TIME you come join us!

Your dogs and you were obviously ROBBED of the Howlloween grand prize. I would have demanded a revote :rolleyes1

Geeez, you're OLD!

Thanks for the welcome!

We weren't robbed too bad. We have gotten a ribbon for the past two years along with a gift card. Well last night all they got were the ribbons, no gift card! :scared1: I think THEY were robbed! :rotfl2: I at least wanted free dog food out of the deal. ;) :rotfl2: We did get a cute picture in a pumpkin picture frame that said Howl O Ween on the bottom. It was only $5, which I thought was a great deal.:thumbsup2

Hey at least I can still say that I am 39 and be honest! ;) You know I luv ya'!

/
I've only watched it once or twice. I try not to watch food network anymore. it just makes me hungry. :(

which I am right now. hmmm. What could I eat?

Celery, can you ESP(N) me some pain pills? My left TMJ (jaw joint) is out of whack. I can't open or close my mouth very easily. OWWWWch. Wonder what the helk I did to it? It just woke up ascew.

I just watched Meet the Robinson's on DVD    It's pure Disney (and Pixar) JOY! I loved it! So many covert Disney-isms. :cool2:

OHHH! Alton Brown's BRINED Turkey for T-giving is the BEST...the turkey melts in your mouth, it's so tender and juicy! The recipe is on Food Network.com or in Alton's new cookbook at Costco. Trust me people!

Haven't talked to Spongie yet today! I'm TRYING not to bother her, I swear. I wanted to hear how Universal went and today's Ariel's Ghetto dinner. :yay:

Ok, I'm off to do yet more laundry to wake UP!

HI ALLIE!!!!!!!! :grouphug:

utah - maybe the tmj issue is a gift from the weight fairy? She wants you to not eat for Friday? :rotfl2:
When I get home, I'll crush a lortab up and sprinkle it on the keyboard.
promise.

is ariel actually at the restaurant there? I can't remember if you said before.

Yep, it's a whole super cool under water themed restaurant. Kids meals are served in a pail with a shovel for later...if I was a kid, I'd love that!

That dinner is super duper hard to get into! I've yet to go :sad1:

Lortabs make me SuperWoman. Like, I JUST had surgery and I'm up vacuuming and mopping, which hurts really bad later. Tylenol and Motrin aren't touching the pain. POOH! Now I have to go to the Dentist (he's cute though).

howdy everyone......

I made homemade mac and cheese for supper....and will bring a little bit to my mama....I wish she would just eat something.....my brother was going to request that they start her drinking that stuff for non eaters.....she is so tiny and her bones are blue and sticking out of her skin on her hands and arms.....scarey to see her go down hill the last few months...she has forgotten so much the last month or so.....I mean she repeats alot and makes up stuff that is around her.......she was talking about going over to the other side of the street with the water.....and she pointed to the water jug on the table.....then she without taking a breathe said that I had to hold onto it so I didnt spill it.....
She wanted a dollar yesterday so that she could take the transportation bus .....
its hell to be old isnt it.....I will be 59 forever and ever and ever...

Funny how when were young we wanted to be older and now that we are older we want to be younger or stay the same.

I couldn't wait to be 19 because that is the legal age to drink here. Now I barely drink at all but back then .... Payday was Thursday and the bar around the corner had live bands so we were there Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The whole week if we knew and liked the band. Guess we were groupy's. :lmao: Before that it was Tim Horton's(coffee place here and I don't drink coffee) and an arcade across the street from were we live.

Mommy P-- That is great new on the house. You are so close now....

UMA-- sounds like a cool place to eat. I'm sure Spongie is having a great time. Is she there for a week or 10 days?

We borrowed a DVD from the library, Franklin, Rolie Polie Olie, Seven Little Monsters and Maggie and Ferocious Beast Halloween shows.

NO, PJ, not, PJ day,.
Thank, you, for, the, commas, can, I, get, a, few, more, next, time?

now you all know my business.
or not.
cuz you skim.
ha!
Caught ya! Why do I have a feeling that skimming remark was at least partially aimed at me? :rolleyes1

pj's (not PJ's - pj's!). So cute!
I'm going to start having an identity crisis. I hope pj day is over soon. Then can we have PJ day?

...his desk was by himself...in the corner. all the other students had

That is sickening. She doesn't deserve a teaching license.

I am having a pear for supper. Join me?

Today was a looooong day. The kids have standardized testing and one little boy who has some pretty severe disabilities takes his test with his aide. Today was the reading section. I just happened to walk into the room when his aide was administering the test and I noticed she was reading all of the passages to him. That seemed strange to me. It doesn't seem like you should get to have the reading section read to you. Kinda defeats the purpose. So, I said something to my teacher. Long story short, she wasn't supposed to be reading it to him and now he'll have to retake the test. As if that's what this kid needed. :sad2: The aide should have known better.

I am off to the gym. Be back later! :wave2:

MommyP, congrats on the closing:banana:

Lexi caught the non-chatting bug? :scared1: I still have it.

To all that feel sick, hope you get better soon!

LY/MI all!

Evening, all :wave2:

.DU ,oot uoY

Get some goog sleep tonight, Twink  If one more person tells me that I look tired this week . . . Grrrrrrrrr.

I made their outfits. I actually used my dd's Thing 2 shirt from when she had to dress up for Dr. Seuss' b'day. I bought a red onesie for my Jack/Rat mix. I traced a circle on it, painted it white, and then wrote Thing 1 on it with a black paint pen. I wore my black velour jogging suit with a white top, and the red and white striped hat. Nothing elaborate, just cute.
That does sound really cute! OK, we'll give you a break on the photo posting since you're newish ;)

Haven't gotten anything done today yet. I am caught up in a book that my sister gave me. Buddy is driving me crazy because he wants to sit on me all day long and if I am reading he is like up so I can't even see the pages.
They do have a way of doing that

Our puppies haven't figured out that trick yet. This must be cozy up to Papa and ignore Mama week. I guess they really like climbing up the recliner footrest and I just have a footstool.

Celery - You know Alton's other show where he is riding a BMW motorcycle and traveling town to town eating? Well one Sunday on the way to church a man on a BMW motorcycle zoomed past us on I-75, even his jacket looked the same. LOL! I can't imagine what he would be doing down here though, we only have chain restaurants and places you can catch the funk. ;)
Maybe he was an Alton Brown wannabe :) The guy that does the Drive-ins, Diners, and Dives show was at a place near where I live a few weeks ago. Looking forward to seeing that episode.

Major congrats on your upcoming closing :yay: :cheer2: :thumbsup2

I made homemade mac and cheese for supper....and will bring a little bit to my mama....I wish she would just eat something.....my brother was going to request that they start her drinking that stuff for non eaters.....
Mmmmm, hope that homemade mac and cheese entices your mom to eat. Have you tried milkshakes? Or ice cream cups? My Grandma enjoyed those. Not sure if she drank that Ensure type stuff. My mom drank that when her teeth bothered her and later when she didn't feel like eating other food. She liked the butter pecan flavor.

Marita, I stocked up on the sulfite-free wine that I like tonight. Plenty for the holidays!!! I had a glass tonight with some warm French bread, dipping oil and Havarti cheese. Yummy.

My DD sent me this link for a cow-patterned dog collar. I think Sukie has one in her future! It won't let me post the photo.

http://www .hotdogcollars. com/Cow-Dog-Collar-p/ylw-032.htm

Moo, glad you enjoyed your snack!

I on the other hand opened a 1 lb can or Planters mixed nuts, that hubby just bought this week, and they are STALE! (Insert mad smiley here!) Experation date says June of '09.

Kay, I sent you a PM, but just in case, you got a replay on Nebo's report tonight :thumbsup2

And whoever hasn't read Nebo's reports. do it!!

OHHH! Alton Brown's BRINED Turkey for T-giving is the BEST...the turkey melts in your mouth, it's so tender and juicy! The recipe is on Food Network.com or in Alton's new cookbook at Costco. Trust me people!

ITA Wendy! We always do 2 turkeys at Thanksgiving (since we feed around 30 people)...DH brines them with Alton's recipe and does one on the grill, and I do the other the traditional way. Heaven, I tell ya!

Hi all you MOOvers!

Anyone here get foot cramps at night?? I get them all the time and they really hurt.

Thanks, Marita!!!!!

Steph, I get charley horses in my legs and feet sometimes. It's usually when I'm in bed though. I usually try to increase my potassium when that happens. It often seems to happen when I eat too many pistachios. Too much salt, I guess.
