this hour is sacred to brain rotting educational programming on tv after brain rotting sugary cereal consumption

I rot their brains so I have a few minutes to check the dis and then a few minutes to devote to my goal of smelling nice....oh yeah, and world peace!

"From Hell"

not zackly toddler friendly, is it?

P.S. I edited for grammar, but it's still atrocious.

Sorry, but I had too hard of a time reaching agreement on 2 dogs, bbn!!!

Off to get some lunch prior to my pm meetings.

DDuck- Ok, since my google is frozen (ohhhh Tag Fairyyyy!), I had to rely on my wit and charm and PM'd DisUnc...who KNOWS all things trivial. Soooo, the answer to the Brain Teaser of the day is..."Beulah the Buzzer". :cheer2:

Thanks DisUnc! I can stop pounding my head and pacing through the house talking to myself wondering what the answer is!!!

Oh ye never ending mountain of laundry waiting to be folded. Why must ye tormenteth me?

Just passing through, MOOvers! Another cold, dreary day in New England. BRRRR!!!!

Bright side...today is my Friday! So I'm this guy: :cool1: :cool1:

BBN, just add the puppy to the Crazynurse menagerie and cowgirl up!

Hey-oh!

Been reading today at work as I was at the reception desk but hate to post from there.

I had an interesting day. Homeless (?) lady came in and almost passed out in the lobby....sick...needed help and couldn't get to the hospital. Gave her some water and she got sick in the bathroom. Finally got her in at a free clinic and she wanted me to ride along with her although we were having one of the custodians drive her. We got her there and they ended up having to call the EMTs to take her to the hospital. Also, other crazy people calling in. :scared: Receptionist comes back next week! :cheer2:

RE: the war, I saw this bumper sticker today....

And here's my favorite bumper sticker in case you were wondering....

Lynette.....RE: Bell Witch....here's one link. There are lots if you google. EVERYBODY knew about the Bell Witch when I was growing up in Southern KY! Other kids always trying to scare you with those stories. :scared:

I looked up the Bell Witch too. Scary stuff.

Celery -- Don't think I would go there for Christmas.

Don't watch C.S.I. tonight then Celery it is on Devil worship or something like that.

I do remember Bob Barker on that show. Boy am I old.

Have to remember Drew Carey starts on Monday on the Price is Right.

Where is Mommy P today. Did she fail her sugar test?

Very goog; now for the second part of your question. How many people ever beat the buzzer?buzzzzz, none, because if you answered the question right, it had a second part, and there was no space between the last word and the buzzer.

My favorite bumper sticker, that I don't have the nerve to put on my car, is:
When they outlaw guns, then only outlaws will accidentally shoot their children.
And as far as the Bell Witch goes, I worked at Waverly Hills Saitorium, the so called scariest place on Earth for two years, and the bell Witch scares me.

Well today is my Sunday, so I'm all:eek:  .

I've spent a big chunk of today working on the next chapter, but before that, I need to answer all the posts on the trippie. So I'm practicing my multi-quoting. Hi to all.

EEEK, I clicked on the witch/cave links and am now FREAKED out! Now I have to sleep with all the lights on and under all the covers. That kind of stuff skeers me! Yet, I'm drawn to stories like that :scared:

I LOVE the bumper stickers or snickers.

Hope your homeless lady is ok! Don't you work in a church? If so, awwwww, poor thing!

DDuck- you have a TR? Uhh..I knew that, just making conversation. :rolleyes1
What do I win for Beulah Buzzer? I have to share with DisUnc though.
Have you seen the new Steven Colbert book called "I am American and So Can You"? It seems like one you'd like...since I gleen little snippets about each of our personalities in these posts. I thumbed through it and thunk it was a hootnholler!

Nab- Drew Cary is the new Host of PIR? He should be pretty goog at it. As long as it's not Rosie. Whom I dislike a little.

Quotes from Sarah Silverman: (Who I find obnoxious but love her!)

"I got this horse to match my outfit."

"I'm just like everybody else, I put my $500.00 jeans on one leg at a time, with the help of my assistant".

I remember!!! I was gonna say I LOOOOVE the bumper stickers.

ok.
now I must go drink.

drown my sorrows and all that.

Listen Lil Missy...whatsamatter?????? Tell mama alllll about it!
And there's a lot of calories in alcohol so I'm sure you meant a flavored water with a glow cube, riiiiight? Not that tomorrow's weigh day or anything. And I'm watching you like a hawk...

Uh oh...I'm mothering again, aren't I?

Celery-- why are you drowning your sorrows. I am guessing your day didn't get any better.

It is darn cold out tonight and are calling for rain. Pretty windy too.

Hope it doesn't blow my decorations away. The kids really liked it but were sad they didn't get to help. I have window clingers things they can put on the patio door or on the mirror closet doors in their rooms.

Nicholas has a French test tomorrow, good thing hubby remembers it better then I. That is another myth about Canada. French is our second language but we don't all speak it. It is taught from grade 4 and up in school, that just changed from grade one and up this year. We do have French Immersion schools too that only teach in French. They say the parents don't need to speak it to send the kids there but how would you help with homework then.:confused3

Hi everyone!

First off, thanks for the continued prayers for my director!

Celery  for whatever is troubling you.

I have an amusing story from work today:

Yesterday late afternoon, knitfreak answered a request for an operator, set up a whole elaborate schedule, offereing to set up ID's in the system, etc. She copied me.

so I sent her a reply, which touched of a small chain of replies (identieties concealed to protect the innocent):

Me to knitfreak:
Did I tell you I love you lately?

Her reply:
Yes, but Glinda's feeling very unloved…. ;)

Me to Glinda (asst #2) and Don(Internal Controls Associate):

Glinda, my lovely labor queen, I love too! And I know I told Don I love him just yesterday too.

Glinda's reply:
Awe…thanks. I feel the love now…;O)

Reply from Don:
And we love you (meaning me) and Matt(the boss) too...

So anyway, there is a point to this story. We have a program called "Guest Service Fanatic" where someone can nominate someone for going above and beyond at work. I has to be signed by a leader, and then gets entered into a drawing. Just happens today was our Resort Finance Year end celebration, and they day they drawing would be held. So Matt, the boss, found one GSF card in the box this morning, and he said that the "lovefest" we had reminded him we need to do a better job at filling out cards. So we went on a GSF card frenzy this morning before the event. Time came for the drawing. First name pulled was DON, he then got to pull the next card out and got ME, someone said, ok someone from a different region now. I pulled out a card and got knitfreak! I was almost tempted to put it aside and draw another name, but heck, she deserves it! And really, there were a lot of cards in there, it was coincidence. and a couple of other people one after that. Anyway, we each got a $10 gift card:thumbsup2

So later that afternoon, we got to take the private tour of the AKL savannah in a big truck with a private guide, which was really cool. I could have petted a giraffe. The best was really the guide telling us stories about the animals.
And I have a vacation day tomorrow :yay:

cool beans! sounds like the pixie dust hit the cm's today!!!

so tell us animal stories!

Evening everyone. Brrrrr, it's cold here. I need to turn on the heat.

Marita, that sounds like a cool day you had!!!

Oh gosh, too much to remember. Did you know they train lions? I was wondering what for. But it seems for things like for them to raise paws so they can check for cuts. to open mouth to check teeth, etc. And train them to a dinner bell (diffrent ones for different savannah's) so they administer medicine or do check ups. How some are fixed not to breed, because the zoos talk amongs each other, Like there are plenty of lions around, so none are being bred now, but they are hoping for a new giraffe baby in the spriing. Giraffe males hit each other in the body with their horns and grow bones in the faces in later life, so the older ones are the most dominant. One Giraffe male has it set so he always stays in a position where he gets hit in the same spot, where he has developed a callous, LOL. And he stands near a tree so when the opponent goes to hit him, he moves aways and the other poor guy hits the tree with his head.

Oh, another one, some sort of big bird, I forgot which, like their reflections. So they had to paint the chrome bumpers on the truck black, because they would not move out of the way, trying to admire their reflections.

Moo, heat already? I can send some extra heat up from here. But we are supposed to get a cold front this weekend too. 82-84 degrees this weekend My time for good weather!

It is down to 50 here, Marita!!! Geesh!

First it's way too hot then it's too cold. I hate that burning dust smell when you first turn on the heat.

My cousin who you met at tea in January e-mailed to let me know she and her hubby had just arrived for a few months. I told her to be sure to go check out the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot.

Moo-- I hear you it was only 48 this morning when I took the kids to school this morning. The next couple of days is suppose to be on the cooler side.

Marita -- way to go on the gift card. Intereting stuff on the animals. What will you do with your gift card, is it for a certain place?
