doctor marie recommends rolaids for the steamers and moosies fighting......:scared:

I just got off a conference call with my region.

My former director (as of about 1 month ago) was just diagnosed with cancer stage 4 of the spine and it got into his lymphnodes. They say it's treatable but not curable.
He is a divorced father with 3 young kids in his mid-40's and an all around great guy, loved by all. Very athletic, former pro- baseball player, golfer, baseball coach. Just hard to think he got cancer. He is starting chemo on Monday.

We are trying to figure out what we can do for him, which is probably not a whole lot. He was director of Food & Beverage Finance for a while, so the F&B folks already started sending food to his house.

Anyway, any good wishes and pixie dust will be appreciated.

Geez, that's awful!

Sounds like F&B people have the right idea. Just don't be all mopey around him, I guess.

We'll remember him and his kids in our prayers too.

Marita-- So sad. He is so young too. He is on our prayers too.

Pumba-- :cheer2: on getting the riddle. I am not good at riddles. I was looking for mints and got squrriel pictures and a hairy whoo thing....

The fall weather is coming fast after that nice warm weekend. I think I need to put a sweater on. My front maple tree is a beautiful shade of orange and red. And the kids love crunching in the fallen leaves.

PJ: Ice cream is ALWAYS a goog thing.
See, I knew the authority on food would weigh in on this matter.

PJ- Twinkie thanks you for that useful breakfast. :thumbsup2
Anytime. Tomorrow's breakfast will be Mickey Bars. Can you live with that?

P.J. -- ice cream for breakfast. Thanks don't tell the kids.
My mom used to give us ice cream for breakfast. I am so not even kidding. I would say 4 out of every 5 times my mom fed me breakfast as a kid it was ice cream. The 5th time it was pie. There's a reason we didn't spend much time in that house growing up! :rotfl:

pj - glad you clarified. I thought you meant eliza killed a baby!
I want to be like hollywood cuz her poses in your picture are just so, ya know?
plus, like duh. she looks like my favorite mermaid!
I've always wanted to be more feminine than I am.
that's why some of my idols are drag queens.
not that hollywood is a drag queen.
she's just dramatic.
or at least looks like it in pictures.
You had me a little  at the Hollywood being a drag queen thing. I think I follow though. I don't have a kid story at the moment, but I just tried to call Hollywood and she said "can this wait, I only have one shell on right now and it's really hard to finish shelling with one hand!" :lmao: So, we'll have a Hollywood thought of the day instead.

p.s. I read every word of your post.

PJ, if breakfast was ice cream, what's for lunch? :woohoo:
Cake. Why would you even ask that? :confused3

:grouphug: Prayers said.

Oh, I did think of a kid story. I can't tell it though. It's not G-Rated. I don't even know if it's PG or PG-13. :rotfl: Just in case some of you didn't know, everything your kids see/hear/witness at home does get repeated at school to their teachers. Just sayin. :rolleyes1

I'm off to class and then I have to pack because tomorrow....DISNEY WORLD HERE I COME!!!!

pj - lucky duck! Take lots and lots of pics.
Do not do a trp report, cuz then we'll never get to see the pics. :rotfl2:

or post them here, then do a trip report and take your own sweet time. cuz you will.

I remember when our daughter was in first grade at the Catholic school.......they were talking about conservation........and my dear sweet DAUGHTER said.....My parents take showers together to conserve water.......of course her teacher was a NUN........:rolleyes1

Thanks! Any reason to party! I love, love, love icecream!:goodvibes

My dh took the kids to our friends house to practice rodeo. I'm waiting here to let the furnace guy in. Caleb is with me, but he is outside. Somebody dropped a puppy off at our house.:sad2:

Anyway, I thought I'd pop in for an evening "hello" since I'm all alone. I think there is an arcade calling my name.:rolleyes1

Alright, Miss Snark. I'll post them here there or everywhere. I think no trip report. Too time consuming.

:rotfl: See, that's zackly the kind of stories I'm talking about. When the kids start with that I'm just like too much information, go back to your work!

2 things that can only happen when you live on a crazynurse ranch in mamacantfindya.
1. Your friends just happen to have homes where children can practice rodeo.
2. Puppies and other animals get dropped off at your house on a regular basis.

Prayers sent for your friend, Marita.

I think Mr. Moo just caved in on keeping both puppies!!!!!!!!!!!! He is still not thrilled about the cost, so I said let's just do stocking stuffers for Christmas :rolleyes1

So bbn, does that mean you have another pet? What kind of puppy?

No, we don't need another mammal mouth to feed.

He's a mix breed. Looks like lab and collie. He's a cutie, but we already have 3 dogs. I wish people would not drop off their animals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's hard on the kids.:guilty:

yay moo!

boo babyn!

my puppy is being weird.

I think he watched the exorcist when I wasn't looking. I've never seen it, but I've read it.

anyway, he looked at me, crawled in a circle with his front paws only, then hacked up his rawhide.

hehehehhe.

Reminds me why they say not to give them rawhides in their crates.

so he hacked it back up then I looked over, and it's gone again. :headache:

Oh yeah, I can see how hard that would be on your kids, E.

I have been having a really rough time with potentially not keeping both puppies.

WHY do people do that? It's only one step worse than sticking a litter of kittens or puppies in a Walmart shopping cart and trying to give/sell them to Walmart customers!!!!! WHY?????? ((why?!?!))

As the reanimated corpse of Bob Barker always said: "Remember folks to always have your pets spayed or neutered" *wink* and finger gun point.

UnderDog- I'd wish you Happy Birthday, but I might get in trouble since you're a dude. ((But Happy Birthday anyway!!!!))

wendy poo poo - :rotfl2:

anyway, I guess it's a rumbling in his tummy.

I keep checking to make sure he's breathing.

I do that with kids too.

do you do that with them when they're your own?

Celery-- yes you do that with your own kids. Even husbands...:lmao: Only I put my hand on there chest when they are sleeping.

Moo-- moo hooty on keeping both puppies. Does it cost that much to adopt puppies? I have no pets, I know to buy them from a pet store is crazy expensive.

Hannah told me they have a bunny in there class and they are going to take turns on weekend to bring it home. I sure hope a note comes home at least asking if we want it home for the weekend. Hannah is pretty excited about that so I am sure we will have a turn. She told me the cage can sit on the kitchen table...ah no don't think so.

Babynurse what will you do with the puppie then?
