MOOvin' Along - Goog Times, Goog Friends . . . Part 2

I just got off a conference call with my region.

My former director (as of about 1 month ago) was just diagnosed with cancer stage 4 of the spine and it got into his lymphnodes. They say it's treatable but not curable.
He is a divorced father with 3 young kids in his mid-40's and an all around great guy, loved by all. Very athletic, former pro- baseball player, golfer, baseball coach. Just hard to think he got cancer. He is starting chemo on Monday.

We are trying to figure out what we can do for him, which is probably not a whole lot. He was director of Food & Beverage Finance for a while, so the F&B folks already started sending food to his house.

Anyway, any good wishes and pixie dust will be appreciated.

Oh yeah, Nabbie - puppies from rescue organizations are fairly expensive. Not as bad as purebred dogs in the case of these puppies, but then they are mixed breed. I think charge so much to help subsidize the other dogs that they rescue - vet costs, shots, deworming, ID chips . . . To make them more attractive to adopt, they don't usually charge as much for older dogs.

With puppies, they do refund part of the cost (like $60) when you provide proof of spaying/neutering.

Well, it's started. At least on Notepad. Talked to Mickey tonight about getting the pictures, but that may be a few days. So the first few may be unillustrated. It will be up before Melinda.

yes, the same celery who made her then 78 year old grandfather come and install a motion sensor light on the corner of her trailer cuz she saw The Ring and lived alone at the time and had a "spring" (really a well, just square) in the woods right behind her house.

Well, Marita, we have to take them back Saturday and meet with someone from the rescue organization so they can verify that the puppies are healthy and in good shape and pay for them. I'm pretty sure it's a go.

Morning all,

Celery-- it is only 9:00 in the morning. I have nothing to vent about yet. Well it is cold here. 48 degrees and my cheeks are cold, glad I made them wear coats today.

I love scary books too Celery. The first one I read was the Shining by Stephen King. Movies never do books justice.

P.J.-- have fun with your sister, take lots of picture of the Halloween party.

UnderDog-- do people really get there shoe shined these days...

Moo-- glad you are going to keep both puppies. They are so cute. Tiny compared to your dd dog.

No we did not learn that in Memphis kindergarten. It was after all the bicentennial of greenest state in the land of the free and we were very busy learning the lyrics and dance moves of the Elvis Era.

Good News People!


Utah (the state, my area) is getting a Cheesecake Factory! Well TWO of em! So now you'll know where to find me, instead of the Tired Hospital with Lindsey Lohan.

First a Walmart (x500) now Cheesecake Factory. We're just like the real world now! Or as we like to say, "We're just like the rest of the states, only better!"

Get this though. The BIG story here is they want to be open on Sunday...the Devils!
