all great ideas, twinks, but I doubt the teacher will even read my post.
she can't even figure out the sytem and has the same discussion threads open multiple times.
it's a mess.
the research was for my own personal edification. (hehehehe. only back in school for a few days and I'm already using big words.)
When you make statements like: "First, I seriously doubt the veracity of the least-preferred co-worker questionnaire."
you'd like to back them up with some published opinions.
cuz even though I know all, I do not want to appear pompous. especially in the first three days of class.

I FOUND IT!!!!! ((You are supposed to be a part of the two-way conversation I have going on a loop in my head))

Does anyone remember this commercial or the SONG to it?

Warning: The following Levi's song WILL in fact become hard-wired into your brain....

Only click if you existed in the 70's, or at least have the decency to not make an old lady comment...

Can I ask you a favor? Can you please ask babycow how she goes to get ice cream with her kids? That would be just great, thanks so much!

FINE!!!! You insist I tell the story. Here's the story. There is one mom and pop ice cream/deep fried food galore place in Cantfindyouma'am, Indiana.

It only happened one time. Dh and dd were riding horses, we live a good little piece from the ice cream place, and they had been gone awhile. Dh calls and says "throw the boys in the truck, and meet me at the ice cream place"

Whelp, I threw the boys in the truck, but not the bed. B/C that's just redneck, ya know? This particular truck seats 6. Yes, PJ they make them THAT big. It's the truth, it's factual.

So, we met dh and dd at the ice cream place, where they were sitting on their horses enjoying a lovely summer dessert. And nobody blinked twice, b/c this is small town America, and as long as we paid for the ice cream, they really didn't care how we got there. But ya know, b/c this is small town America, if I went in there and said "I forgot my wallet, I can't pay." They would say "No big deal" and hand me my ice cream anyway.

Would DQ be so accomadating, nooooooooo!

This is MY town (threw in a little Montgomery Gentry for ya)

p.s. I'm laughing so hard about stalker lady at OKW. What was with her? and all the rest of that spazzy stuff. Laughing. right now. ha!

But where they your OWN children Nab?

good one, twinster. I like twinster, in addition to twinKster. I'll add it to the name list.

p.s. Goldenchild is a man of few words, but he definitely gets his point across.:lmao:

babyn - I'll teach it!

tom cruise = bad
drugs = good

pj - I'm listening to Kenny chesney. just that one song. but I promise to always think of you when it comes on.

and babyn - I live in rich people small town america - it's quaint and cute and all the stars move here so they can pretend to be "real."

but my parents live 15 minutes from me - and it's halfway between podunk TN and suburban TN.

Babynurse-- that is so funny. If we saw horse at the D.Q. we would wonder then we would say hope they don't poop...:lmao:

Just tell them that they will get good drugs after they have a C-section, they really don't want to know the rest.;)

We have a big honking truck too that seats 6 but it is not a Ram. We need it to tow the big honking trailer. But I must say it is roomy and nice to travel in compared to the little car.

Yes Twinkie they were my kids!! :rotfl: Actually haven't seen them most of the day so it has been nice and quiet. They came home for supper and now are outside again with friends won't see them until bedtime now.

Alright Y'all. I'm going to try and memorize names and ages before we meet.

ok. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Kaleb - 2
Ethan - 5?
Seth - 6?
Jeremiah - 7?
Nicholas - 10?
Hannah - 8?
Norah - 3 (I know this one was right cuz she just had her birthday! happy berfday!)
Riley - 7
Dallen - 8
Jordan - 18
Marita - 55.
Hehehehehe.
Just kidding!
I'm not sure on Sandy's or too sure on Lex's - I think her oldest is 17 or so.
Anyone I'm forgetting?
Just for the record, kids with me will be:
Tammy - 31
Me - 31
Jeanie - 2
My mom - 59, but say she is 60 cuz it makes her mad. Heheheheheh.
Anthony - 9 on the 23rd! Woo! Y'all have to tell him happy birthday.
Quentin - 5 months
Mike is a big kid too - he's somewhere in his 40s I think. Not too sure. Just call him stinky.

Dallen is 9 now. What a train wreck ha would have been!

Another forecast this week (really, I am looking for another job!)

Anyway, I got an email with questions today, and went to phone my boss to consult appropriate answers to give. (Got to be politacally correct).

I could not find the Frigging phone! I looked all over, in DD's room, the bathroom, the kitchen, the couch. my room, everywhere. Repeatedly even!
Tried to look for find phone button no luck! Tried calling from bedroom phone! " Sorry that line is busy" So hubby tried calling from his cell phone, but no luck locating the regular phone. So just as I was about to call from his cell phone, he found it, on the floor behind the coffee table!

So I told my daughter I had to hunt for the phone today, and where my husband finally found it.
She said, well, that should be obvious, since it's near the base.

I said, why wasn't it IN the base?????
She said, 'cause it didn't make it there when I threw it.............

And with that, I have the next 4 days off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3:

Hey all! Had jury duty briefing today. I'm on call for the month of Sept. with the exception of 22-29. Yay! I get a whole $12.50/day if I get called.

Twinkie....So cute about the Goldenchild! I let that last one go on the potty training til he turned 3. I KNOW!

MommyP....DH taught DS to pull down the shorts and water the shrubs. We had to un-learn that behavior since we live in a neighborhood where the houses are only 15 ft apart. :scared:

Celery....The girls are 17 and almost 14 (on Sept. 18) and the little man is 7.

NAB....School started Aug. 13! Gotta find the bookbag to see about the homework.

Off to throw the kid in the bath........

Evening, MOOvers! I read a bit while at work today and enjoyed all the stories. I got a big letter finalized and signed before leaving today. WHEW! TG tomorrow is Friday and it will be a bit more laid back (I hope).

MOO HOO, Marita, on your four day weekend!!!

I wish I could take it off, but I need to save my time for vacation. I think I will start packing this weekend

Uma, I don't remember that commercial or song either and I am certainly old enough to have seen it :confused3

Melinda, sorry we didn't start our chat earlier last night.

Anyone who wants to chat earlier can fly the flag. I have put it at the top of the first page of our thread so it is easy for anyone to copy and post!!!

If someone besides me wants to try posting it as a test to make sure it isn't protected, I'd appreciate it.

Kay....Sorry about your job. I guess you are a real estate appraiser? I guess the fee based appraisals would give you plenty of work and a lot more flexibility but no benefits, right? Bummer.

I don't do appraisals, I review appraisals. That is a lot more specialized and there are less job opportunities in this field. I could go back on the road and do appraisals, but I've been there, done that, and far prefer review work so I'm not slogging through snowdrifts measuring houses. :sad2: Thanks for the well-wishes. Today I was working at the other house trying to get it ready to go on the market. I'm exhausted. Going to read a magazine for a while and unwind.

Hi everybody :wave2: I skimmed through todays posts. It's hard to keep up, but the page count isn't as high as it was a few months ago.

pj - glad you had a good day, sorry class is yucky!
It's not so much the class as it is the holding still and being quiet. For 2 1/2 hours. My capacity on holding still is 30 minutes.

Thanks for the help with your schedule PJ. It makes stalking so much easier. :thumbsup2
Glad to help a stalker out.

That is easy.:teacher:

1. Copy from Wikipedia.
2. Tell the teacher that your grandmother just died.
3. Tell the teacher that they didn't do a good job explaining the assignment. Ignore the written description in the syllabus.

and my personal favorite

4. Tell the teacher that your car "got stolen."
Are we doing excuses for why we missed class? Because I might have to email my list to y'all. It's like 5 miles long. I am a professional class skipper.

It's the truth, it's factual.
Is everything satisfactual?

This is MY town (threw in a little Montgomery Gentry for ya)
na na na na na
Come on, give me a harder one.

p.s. I'm laughing so hard about stalker lady at OKW. What was with her? and all the rest of that spazzy stuff. Laughing. right now. ha!
I'm starting to sound like a broken record...
We are so cool. We are so hotT. We are so popular. People love us. Therefore people stalk us.

And with that, I have the next 4 days off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3:

WOOHOO!!!!!!!! :dance3: :yay: :cheer2:

Since everyone was wondering I decided to take my half personal day on Friday afternoons so I'll be done at noon tomorrow. Then I'm driving out to the crazynurse ranch to jump on the trampoline for the weekend.

Goog for you!!!

Have you really figured out how far you are from the crazynurse ranch?! :rotfl2:

My hubby brought home some awesome brownies from Zingerman's Deli in Ann Arbor today. Delish. I am very proud of him. For thinking of me, plus another reason. He had an appointment in AA today and he was actually listening to me when I told him that my cousin's hubby had had surgery at the U of M Hospital on Wednesday. Well, maybe the e-mail I sent him about it helped too. He stopped by to visit him!!! pixiedust:

Usually I feel like he listens to me like I'm a grownup on the Charlie Brown cartoons - Wah wa wah wah WAH! Hee hee.

I think I'm about 2 hours from crazynurseville. Ann Arbor? Is that anything like Glen Arbor?

Must be treat night ....hubby brought me home a chocolate extreme blizzard from D.Q.

He wasn't on a horse either but he did have the big honking truck does that count. :lmao:

Marita -- :woohoo: on the four days off. We have four days until school and I am so ready after this morning.

Moo-- you are going to start packing.... I am still wearing the clothes I would take. Unlike when we go in the winter and I can pack the summer clothes.

Was it chocolate cool whip?

We don't have that here I saw it on holidays.

I guess that is why you are so skinny. You don't eat the real stuff.:lmao:

So I was working a little bit on Mp's Blanket. Loop one, Crochet 5 Loop one( im am warning you Mp, this is NOT going to be a fancy one!)

SO anyway, as I am working on it, I count the 5 double crochets. Eins, Zwei Drei, Vier , Fuenf..... and My kids are mad at me for not teaching them german...... they are right of course, but I was living here for 9 years at the time and only talking German with my MOM maybe once a month for 10 minutes.

But after 36 years, I still count in German in my head??????????

Ann Arbor is the left wing capital of Michigan and home to THE University of Michigan (my DD is an alumnus).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ann_Arbor,_Michigan

Zingerman's - Expensive, but oh so worth it!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zingerman's

I believe that Glen Arbor is a quaint little town up by Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes, whereas AA is one of our coolest cities!!! And they have one of the best summer art fairs in the U.S.

Yum on the DQ, Nab!

I think I am going to start by packing some shorts that I don't normally wear much, but I think I will need them if it is in the 80s and 90s at WDW. I don't wear them in public too often, but I think we all do lots of stuff at the World that we don't do at home (e.g., wear goofy/Goofy hats and so on).

I can also pack my poncho and lanyard and my window decorations. Plus a few other things that I have picked up here and there

Marita do you do your job in German too. Don't you have to work with numbers all day....:lmao:

I can not knit or crochet so I bet your blanket is just great. It is from the heart after all.

Moo-- I never decorated my windows. I have heard of it though. The best we do is put Hannah's stuffed animals in the window.

I wear shorts all summer long. No dresses or skirts for me either. I wanted capris but never did get any. I will hate when I have to put jeans and socks on again in the fall.
