MOOvin' Along - Goog Times, Goog Friends . . . Part 2

My sister is talking of wanting to go drug free.

My dad works in labor and delivery...he does the epidurals (and other things I assume but that's all I know). Anyway, every time we see a pregnant woman he says "money in the bank!!" Y'all need to use the drugs when having those babies because it's financing my college education!

One interesting little fact about how we distinguish which Cheryl we are addressing in conversation is this:

My name is frequently pronounced Chair-yl like our 10th(?) grade geometry teacher mispronounced our names, whereas her name is pronounced the normal way :lmao:

Wait, are you trying to tell us your name is really Cheryl (or Chair-yl)?
You know we will alway think of you as MOO, so distinguishing is really a moot point.

Much like NAB is NAB (like WHO is Debbie???????? And Amber????????).

So Cheryl, jump right in and join the club!

Marita, that is just how my little group of "old" Camp Fire friends sometimes pronounces my name vs. our other Cheryl's name.

BTW, she is a year younger than us, so she will be chortling all through this year as we turn 50. As she did in January while gifting us all with a bunch of Red Hat Society stuff

Something must be in the air because I spent most of the day trying to get rid of a headache. Hubby came home early so I could go lay down in the dark. It is finally going away.

Marita -- I am with you, Moo is moo. My kids know my user name is Nab so they won't look at you funny if you call me that...:lmao:

Mommy P-- I'm sure you will be a godsend for you sister when she has her baby. I didn't even have my mom around it was just us when I took Nicholas home. We lived 2 hours away then too.

P.J.-- I really hated my drug guy, only because I was in no pain when I got it .Only when he was doing it....

Moo-- what movie did you see?

Nab, we saw No Reservations. It was a pretty decent chick flick. The guys in the theater were outnumbered about 10 to 1 by women ;)

Grr, my remote connection died again! At this rate, I will never be able to get rid of the dial -up accounts. (Cause I freak out if I can't connect for 15 minutes, especially when I have a lot of work to do)

I am so far behind on work today (thanks 24 gazillion posts), I asked DD to wake me up when she gets up tomorrow.
GUESS what, she IS NOT GETTING UP EARLY!!!!!!!

I don't know what is wrong with my alarm clocks, they wont change the time

So I guess I will just try to put my frame of mind into waking up early.......

Don't look at me!

Seriously have you ever seen the needle they use? I've watched my dad before and just seeing that needle almost made me pass out. No wonder it would hurt! :faint:

I'll scream loud when I wake up. REALLY loud. So loud that you'll hear me in Florida and wake up. Be listening around 6:30.

Good luck with that Marita....

I have been sleeping in every morning this summer too. It will be hard to get back into getting up at 7:30. Maybe I will make it 8:00 now that we don't have a bus to catch.

I always get out numbered on chick flicks Moo. I wait and rent them. Lately it has been movie the kids want to see. Can't remember when hubby and I went ourselves.

P.J. they don't let you see the needle.....good thing, I couldn't runaway. Wouldn't be pretty doing a c-section without it.

I don't really know the first thing about childbirth but I'm thinkin that's a good thing!! I've watched probably 4 or 5 babies be born because I would go to work with my dad....made me never want to have a baby if only for that needle alone!

And with that ever so lovely image in my mind, I will now be heading to bed. 6:30 will be coming all too soon. Night. :cloud9:

I better head to bed too.

Have to go to Costco tomorrow for school snacks and sandwich bags. I'm sure there will be more then that in the cart....always is.

Night all....

Hope that works, usually cannons can't wake me up!!!!!!!!!!!! I need mind control (yeaah, right!!!!!!!!!) Wish me luck!!!!!!!

GOOG MORNING!

I think I just heard a scream coming from the general direction of Cincinnati?!

PJ...Thank you for lecturing yourself about running after dark so we don't have to. Glad I never actually saw a baby being born or I might never have had one.

NAB....Good luck at Costco! THere are too many bargains there so it's never really a "savings".

Cheryl in Florida!.....:welcome: I'm newish here too but everyone is so friendly!

MOO.... Do we have to call you Chair-yl when we meet you?

MARITA.....WAKE UP! Time to make the doughnuts!

MommyP....Please, please, please drink your water and rest!

Have a good day, everyone!

Goog morning, sunshines!!

You beat me, Lexi!! I could not get up this morning. :sad2:

WAKE UP, MARITA!!!!!!!!!

That should have been audible to all the in/almost in Kentucky people. We'll see if it worked.

Sorry! I won't be the one financing your college education. I've had 4 babies without a drup of drugs, I don't plan to start now. After seeing me have my babies so quickly without any interventions I think my sister is seeing the benefit. ;)

On the note, Ladies, do you have to have a catheter when you have an epidural?

I was up at 6AM again! I am kinda enjoying this quiet time. In the new house it will be better because the kids bedrooms on down a hallway behind the kitchen/family room so I will be able to move about and turn on lights in the family room without waking the whole house. Now I have to be very quiet and pray that the lamp doesn't wake them up while I'm reading.

I've already started a load of laundry, made my bed and cleaned my bathroom!

After my coffee I am going to drink a big glass of water so I don't forget! :headache:

Anyone ever put together a meatloaf and then frozen it, before cooking? I did. I pulled it out for yesterday, but it wasn't even 1/4 of the way thawed out so we're having it tonight. I hope it turns out okay. :upsidedow

What's everyone up to?

Good lord, woman! :faint: You make the rest of us look bad. Here I'm just struggling to wake up and you've already done what I would consider a full day's work! :rotfl:

Mommy P-

WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOty!

Happy 3,002 posts!!!! ;) My milestone posts are nearly always on some misc. thread that no one knows me.

Oh, yes you do get a catheter when you have an epidural. It's the BEST! I doesn't hurt at all and you totally pee without having to get up. I LOVEd it. Weird, I know. I also LOVE the multi-purpose remote control/ nurse call button. Anything that is pro-lazy, I'm lovin'!

Good Morning ALL!!!

Morning All,

Mommy P-- I was up to go to the bathroom at 6:00 but no way I was staying up. I am taking advantage of sleeping in this week.

And yes I had to have a catheter put in. But a c- section is different so can't answer just for a epidural. I had to stay in bed until the day after. Like you I watch the Baby Story and they always make them walk to delivery I was all hooked up with I.Vs and stuff and pushed down on the bed both times.

Lexi-- I know I am very careful I know my food prices when I go to Costco. I would never buy a huge thing of mayo or mustard. Wouldn't used it up in time or have a place to store it.

Marita-- did you here you wake up call?

Hi P.J.:wave2:

Mooooooo Hoooooty Mommy P !!!!

:dance3:  :cheer2: :cool1: :woohoo: :dance3:  :cheer2: :woohoo:

Dear Chair-yl, you can not confuse us. We know your name is pronounced "moo". Duh.

Y'all need to use the drugs when having those babies because it's financing my college education!

Anything for you PJ.;)

What's everyone up to?

1. I have had it done both ways. The cath is actually better and no big deal.
2. Yes. I have even cooked it from frozen once. Usually I take it out to thaw and then help it along via the microwave.
3. I need to venture out in to the world (not the World :( ) and run errands. So far it is overcast which is good. But I am tired.

PJ- I am the kid that fainted during 9th grade biology (and 7th grade, and5th grade and 4 th grade and 3 grade during career day when the nurse came to visit). I was thus excused from the "Miracle of Life" unit. I have never seen a baby being born. I close my eyes and think of England. (that is a joke btw...no one ever gets it). Anyway- my point is if I can have a baby anyone can. Just file that away for future reference.

Also the epi needle was scary. I wish I had skipped that night of childbirth class as I didn't have the option of going drug free with my first labor. Now I am commited to helping little ballerinas get an education:teacher: ;)
