Nab - Our library has programs like that. However, due to the ever populating population of immigrants those types of things are mostly geared towards spanish speaking kids. So the leader would be a mostly spanish speaking person who spoke broken english and the book would be read in perfect spanish and broken english. Great for the hispanics bad for us.

Ah Ha! I bet I know why you always do two posts. You reach your image max and have to start a new post to use more smiles?

Am I right?

I bet so. Very Nancy Drewish observation. But you can't have that ID.

Well I just got back from my adventures. Took the boys to the doctor and then registered the kids for school. Between the two I have been filling out paperwork for about 5 hours straight. Why isn't all this on the web? why do I need to write everything a bajillion times???

I am exhausted and hungry. And I really need to cook tonight. Blah.

I think I am going to sit here and rest a while so bring on the knock knock jokes.

Twinkie - What are you cooking?

We're having shake n bake pork chops, green beans, turnip greens and some boxed pasta junk. That tastes really good but has nothing good for you.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

But you are right MommyP!

We have been buying popsicles with jokes on the stick. As if kids need anymore reason to want a popsicle. The funny thing is Goldenchild gets a real kick out of the joke just like he understands it.

Dinner is going to be some sort of fake lasagna thing...basically layers of pasta, sauce, meat and cheese. I have thawed ground beef that needs to be cooked today. I own ricotta chesse, tomato sauce, and lots of pasta. However that requires getting up soonishly. It is hard to be lazy.

I think I will add a salad and garlic bread.

Last edited by MommyPoppins : Today at 03:36 PM. Reason: Did you u/s alter your due date any?

Sort of. The baby measured really small but I have little babies. Goldenchild was the biggest at 7 lb even. And the due date suggested by u/s can't be right because of other info. (See how considerate I am being of our guys????)

So he mooved it from Dec 1 to Dec 2 and told me that this would be a 6 lb baby. And scheduled another u/s at 30 weeks to make sure the baby was growing fine.

Yes. I know what chicken filets are. I think. ;) Aren't they round or oval and flat? We have them sometimes with mozzerella and sauce on nice rolls.

No. We call those chuckwagons. Don't ask. This was actual chicken breast albeit breaded.

Isn't 34 like the uber cool age to be?;)

I think you're trying to emulate someone else.

Hmm. Who could that be now? who could it be now?

Dec. 1st to Dec. 2nd? :lmao:

Wow what a change. What do they think 1 day makes. I hope they gave Grasshopper that memo.

They kept trying to give me a date of Dec. 25th. Because of their stupid little wheel. It was hard not to gloat after my first u/s when the baby measured EXACTELY as far along as I said I was. Like I didn't KNOW the "details".

Then a different midwife tried to go BACK to the due date of the 25th even though the first midwife put in the chart the 29th.

I am curious what my u/s reveals. It's usually been off by a couple of days, in my favor I think. Of course my baby's never got that memo.

Of course you have had small babies. You had twins born early and wasn't Goldenchild early?

You only get big babies when you carry to your due date and beyond.

To your due date and beyond!?! How barbaric ;)

I always try to claim the earliest date they will let me. So I can up my whining at the end. My doc agrees that the due date is pretty meaningless since babies don't read the charts.

Yes I have been early. But the twins were on time for twins. And a goog size for twins. However I have a couple friends who hit their due dates with 10 or 11 lb babies. Even if I hit mine I think my babies would all have been at or under 8 lbs. Two lbs is a significant difference in my opinion.

Watch me be late with this one. Ha! That would be fine cosmic joke. Maybe you will be early and we can give birth to identical strangers.

10 or 11 pounds is just horrible. Mine were low 8's and high 7's and then of course my 9 pounder. I was never more than 5 days early.

I always envy those ladies on a baby story who have 6 pound babies. I could sneeze that out. ;)

lol Twinkie. Wasn't she born second also? Was she really easy to get out after the path had been paved?

yes she was second... the problem was I was so comfortable with only one baby I wasn't terribly motivated to keep working till they said the "P" word

and the combined weight was 10 lb 10 oz:rolleyes:

Ok now that we have permanently scared off anyone with a Y chromosome. Sorry guys! Really. I am off to cook dinner.

Yes I do not think I would want to keep working after getting number 1 out. It would be tough.
10lbs 10oz. Cleary you win. ;)

went to the diabetic clinic today ......I went up from 6.2 to 6.5.....not good but not horrible. Need to get back in the swing of things to keep my bs's where they should be and lower my trigly's too...I was upset but the educator has a way of calming me back down..I did gain ten pounds.....so that is out too......I shall work hard to get me back to normal...
She did say that when I go to Disney not to worry because the walking will balance everything out.....

oh well.....:confused3

Hi from the "y" side. Not scared off by the conversation, but 3 pages since this morning?:scared1:
I've got the reunions this weekend; family Saturday at 2 and that night high school-6 classes all getting together. If everyone showed up there's be nearly 3000 graduates there. It's at our favorite fish place in Louisville, Mike Lennigs. BabyN, we can see Indiana from the Beergarden.
Lilg, I think you're talking about Van Meter Hall. An actor was murdered on stage when someone switched the stage knife for a real one about 95 years ago. When the moon is full and comes through the balcony windows, you can see the blood stain on the stage. There's a breezeway under the concrete stairs in front, and I've never gotton a girl to walk under there. It is eerie.
Moo, if I can't get ice cream from my niecs's place, Graeter's is my next choice. Not as yuppie overdone as Marble Slab and those places, and better than Basken-Robbins.
BTW, I was a 6 lb 1 oz baby and I'm DOWN to 265. And I was a tad late. A friend of my mom's had a 15 pound baby. Ouch. And that was 45 years ago.
There are Disney specials on travel channel now and later (8 Eastern) and they always get me ready for my trip. Later all.

Cel! Great job on the Disney duds! Goog luck finding a celery print :lmao:

Glad things went relatively well today, Pumba. I am loving seeing that trip ticker go down, but I need to get crackin' on the exercise.

Twink! We don't care about the spelling around here any more!

We can't get Graeter's here, so it is a novelty for me ;)

MommyP, I let my hubby pick a pint of my birthday ice cream tonight. Of course, he picked the other chocolate chocolate chip :scared: The chocolate is in huge pieces and it is soft, not hard and gritty like the chocolate in some ice cream. Oh well, I had some of the chocolate brownie ice cream with a little Kahlua poured on top. Mmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!! So much for the diet this week . . .

Hi, E and Lil G! One of the people I met with today told me that his son is going into nursing. You hear about that more and more these days. There were lots of male student nurses at the hospital when my Grandma was there this spring.

Cel, your dream was hilarious!

Nice threads you made here, really! I tried my hands at it in the 70's, I gave up :confused3

Did anyone notice my itty bitty simpsonizeme.com siggie pic?

One of the Peeps posted the link. It was pretty fun to do!
