Slow weekend here!

Moo -:cake: Happy Birthday a day late! party: :bday:

Yesterday was Seth's birthday too!

Well we went the whole week not hearing from the builder. Chad tried calling him towards the end of the week and he said, "Tomorrow I will have the number" and then he never called "tomorrow". Then on Friday he wasn't even answering his phone. :confused3 So I am counting that as another deal gone down the drain. I will be surprised if we ever hear from him, or if we do it won't be good news.

On the brighter side of things...

I felt Manna kick a few times this afternoon! Little tiny pops. I love it!

Chad was looking at my Bradley book and now he has become my nutritionist. He was like, "You are supposed to be eating so much more protein. You need to start eating that so you are healthy!" :rotfl:

I layed out and got some sun on my belly this afternoon.

We went out bathing suit shopping yesterday. But nothing. I figured I could do the brown one at Target but I'd have to do some alterations, and I'm not a seamstress. I pointed out the black one, but he said no. Black washes me out and even he knows that. :rotfl: So instead I got a bunch of new clothes from Motherhood and a killer denim skirt from Sears. He actually went around Motherhood and matched outfits together for me. He is too funny. My own personal shopper. ;)

I am off to take a shower and empty the dishwasher. My least favorite job in the world.

Have a good night!

Mommy P -- how exciting. You have little kicking going on. Hopefully you are wrong about your builder.

Moo-- We won't tell them about posting their pictures. They are not wanted anywhere are they:lmao:

Love all the cow pictures. Too funny. Reminds me have to go get more milk.

Well I have three loads of wash done my bottom floor of my house cleaned. I am beat.

I am trying to get Hannah to go out and pick the raspberries that are ripe but she is afraid of spider webs. We have bushes along the side of our house. They keep multiplying too. Usually they don't get any until Sept. but they are full right now. Must be the weird weather.

Hey everyone!

Good to see some life return to this thread.
I had a really lazy day, I did nothing but read trip reports (after I got up at 11:30). And now I am ready for a nap. Nicole made dinner and did the dishes. I have not touched laundry!!! Oh wait, I DID vacuum......
I have been having work nightmares the last few nights, NOT fun!

Yesterday DD's old boyfriend stopped by (the one I liked that proposed to her and she turned him down) His birthday was yesterday too, he was turning 25. He said she agreed to go out to dinner with him and his brother some weeks ago, maybe, and to keep the night free. Apparently he tried to call her and got voicemail. Anyway, she was sleeping and REFUSED to get up. He left his new phone number and left, hoping she would go to this fancy place for dinner with him. She never called him back. I feel kind of bad for him....
I should skip a nap, it's getting late.

MommyP, I hope the builder works out for you:hug: And how exciting about feeling the baby, I LOVED that :yay:

Hi, Java Steph, Lil G, Lil Blue, Moo, Nab, Pumba, twinkie, Lexi and anyone else!

Back from getting milk, got two gallons this time.

Even got the kids pick the raspberries. Two cereal bowls full. Now what to do with them. I still have to make hubby's rhubarb pie. Maybe tomorrow.

It sure has been a quiet weekend. Must be the nice weather. Not cold tonight.

MommyP: :bday: to Seth!!!

MOO HOO on feeling little Manna kicking! Sorry you haven't heard on the house.

Sounds like you've had a busy weekend.

Nab - You crack me up! My sisters are pretty law-abiding (as far as I know). My youngest sister had some of their neighbors over yesterday, one of whom is a campus police officer. He had some pretty goog stories to tell. His wife was telling us that he always knows who the minors are at campus football games. When they see him coming, the drop the beer and run :rotfl:

And, Cel, the police officer brought me a bottle of mango rum as a gift. I didn't taste it. Not quite sure what to mix it with. Pineapple juice maybe?!

Moo, try it alone in a shot glass, like brandy first. Then maybe you get an idea.

I prefer my run/brandy/congnac straight, LOL. But I have been good and not had any in a few days.........

Mango rum never tried it. It does sound like it should be drank on it's own.

I like rum and coke myself. I do like Mud slides, PinaColda's and Long Island Ice Tea. Been a long time since I had any one of those though.

We just tallied up the cost of our visit to our DD's in NC. Ouch!

Not quite as bad as our upcoming Disney trip though.

I think I'll break out that mango rum next time I go to a party. Nab, I like rum and Coke too. With lime!

Gee, I thought all the rum talk would bring Celery out!!! pirate:

Did everyone see the poem addition, Part Deux, to Cel's signature?!

I am drinking my favorite......diet pepsi caffeine free with plenty of ice......I am THIRSTY.......we went for a short ride 2 hours up and 2 hours home to get an oak tv holder that is unfinished.......it has two side doors and a drawer on the top part and glass doors in the middle.......we didnt want their color so we got it unfinished so we can put the stain on it to match the rest of my oak.......I love it......Now of course this means he goes and gets a big skinny tv set too.....
I am ready now to face the week ahead.....only one rug rat and me.....so we can sit in the back yard and he can go swimming and I can relax with him..my regular is off to a day camp that will do the Maine attractions.....he will miss me he says......My other regular is staying home with her parents and then oh yah.....my really big brat who I love dearly is off to horse back camp.....easy week now.....funny thing is I never have more then two at a time.....hahaha.....and sometimes the third will show up just to visit.....

Hey all! No time to check in this morning before church and we just now got home.

Moo - if it's parrot bay, it's good enough to drink on its own. Pineapple or cranberry would be good, if you want to mix it.

what cop?!?!
Did I miss something?

lil g - go read my trip report and post!

nab and others - we went to see ratatoille today. I loved it, tammy only liked it.

hi!

yes, i saw Cel's new poem, it came from her trip report
Pumba, cool on new furniture, always fun.
i think ratatoille ratted out, in terms of box office hit. Sucks for my IRA

I am with Tammy I only liked it. I wouldn't even go buy it when it comes on DVD. Sorry Marita.

Kids are in bed already. Nicholas is excited about baseball camp and Hannah has a play date tomorrow afternoon.

I signed them both up for swimming next week since we are not on vacation yet. That will be it until the fall.

We liked Ratatouille, but I prefer Finding Nemo.

Hi Steph.

I agree talking fish or talking toys are much better. As if it is okay for mice to be in a kitchen....:lmao:

But the kids loved it so that is all that counts.

Pumba, that is my DH's weekday drink of choice too :rotfl2: Not so much on the weekend ;)

I asked my hubby when are we going to get a big old flat screen TV . . . I guess not until our old one craps out (or becomes obsolete). I will also need to get a new piece of furniture down the road when we make the switch.

hi!
It's not Parrot Bay, Cel - it's Cruzan or something like that.

The cop is a friend/neighbor of my sister. His wife was telling us about how he gets to bring home all of the beer, etc. that he confiscates from minors on campus, including kegs

I really liked Ratatouille. Not that I'm a rodent lover or anything :rolleyes1

Hey moo ! happy be-lated birthday i was at the most awesome's yard sale(sell)got some killer stuff...
Thanks, Spongie! Were you shopping at Uma's? What'd ya get??!

That yard sell must have tuckered Uma out.

:wave2: gang.

Just to weigh in on the topic, we saw Ratatouille this weekend and my kids really liked it. Very cute, but I still like Toy Story the best of all the CG animation.

This weekend was crazy, but we had lots of family time. Hopefully, I can catch up with all my imaginary friends soon. Next time, maybe I won't be working during chat time!:thumbsup2
