Haley - What are you having an MRI for?

When I was 16 I was in a car accident and I broke my back, compound fracture of 4 vertebra and the bone that surrounds the spinal cord. I nicked my spinal cord, too. When they 'fixed' me the doctors fussed my entire lumbar spine (lower back). So they want to look at the bone graft to make sure it is still holding. They also want to see if they can figure out why I am constantly having pinched nerves, as that is new(ish).

It sounds worse than it is, it was horrible when it happened, but now it is not so bad. More just annoying than anything else. I can't do sit-ups though and I hate the resultant flabby tummy. But I can walk, so I don't mind too too much.

No open MRI available for me without a long wait, the give all the time slots to children and the elderly or anyone that can not be sedated. So I will be sedated

Off to buy school supplies and a bunch of other stuff we don't really need

Haley, EEK on the whole MRI, broken back thing. I have no back problems, but I still dont excercise ( I really need to though)

I am kind of in a funky mood these days. Work nightmares and not wanting to go back to work, and generally being on the dark side. At least I didnt have to work the last two day. I know there are much worse problems (I dont really have any problems), except I dont want to work anymore.........

Back from shopping and lunch. Can tell it is Friday. Traffic is getting bad out there.

I just love having girl time with Hannah. We are finished school supplies for her now. Including a bumble bee pillow. I asked her how that was for school she said it would help here sleep so she is rested for school. It was on sale and she said she would use her allowance so we got it.

Haley-- ouch on the back thing. Hope your MRI is okay.

Celery-- Wow , you are melting away. I agree with Haley cute hair cut. Hannah has the same one only she has bangs. Great Job!!!

Marita-- you still have two days off and don't think about work. Enjoy them. Did you remember to eat today?

Sounds like we all do the same thing when it comes to cleaning... Pick up just before they come home. Mommy P I hear you on the toothpaste in the sink , it drive me crazy.

I have been busy today. Even though it is in the 90s here in Maine....the humidity is awful....so I went outside for a little bit and got my tush wet in the blow up pool. sat and read some more.......came in and finished off three washings and dryings.......did the dishes....made hotsausage and beef meatballs......delicious when I eat it......megara keeps on stealing the big spoon that I put on the counter.....then I have to rewash it and stir again......then she gets it again and licks it clean and then again wash it up...

Sometimes I have to wonder too ......who is being nice to me just because ....not because I am a nice person or because they know me......but because they are trying to pull the wool over my eyes......I am a truster......I trust everyone .....every day ......all the time......weird I know....I hope that is the case......just because I am a nice person......

I couldn't get on the Dis at all yesterday. Or anywhere but Yahoo. I did get to the attractions board once, but couldn't open anything. Worked yesterday evening, then had to be back at 5 am. But now I'm off til Monday at 10.

Yes, I'm a Hilltopper(as is DABLUESTREAKER). Been here on and off for 37 years. BTW, I also work in a hospital that deals with behaviors, but all our patients are minors. But we have the same problems. They bring in all kinds of patients to fill their numbers and leave it to the nurses and mental health associates to deal with it. (I'm the cook). Used to live in Nashvegas.
MommyP- hope your SHIP comes in soon.
Twinkie- have the album and moovie and still have to watch and/or listen now and again. Googled the song for the words and found a terific site with words to all the songs and other stuff. Reset my background to a great picture of the whole cast of The Muppet Show.
Cel- I think I know who your background lurker is. Am I right? Not the best picture of her, but I pretty sure. Also want to say you're doing great and really lookin goog Mrs. Kotter.(I love old tv shows).

I don't remember it too well, I just remember that when I saw it I wasn't sure if it was you or another mommy poppins (maybe spelled differently or something). And I know it was a really dumb reason to talk about someone. I think it had something to do with creating meals on a budget. Like I said, I didn't pay too much attention. Sorry if anything on there made you feel bad. We all think you're great!

Hey everyone!

Digging out here!

DH was late coming home today. I figured he was just getting more groceries for a fridge that is already overstuffed.

But NOO, he came home with a new toaster oven and Microwave (big one) to replace toaster over which kind of sucked, cause it was too close to heat sourc, and hugely expensive Convection oven (which we only used as a Microwave and which finally stopped turning, but otherwise stiill worked fine).

So we had a discussion:
Me; they still work fine, we should donate them
Him: Fine, you take them
Me: OK, never mind.......

Then it went to:
We should use paper bags instead of plastic, since we never recycle them
Him, OK, you help carrry in groceries then

So then I gave up.........

I feel guilty..........

Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, I'm gonna eat me some worms
Big hairy juice ones, long skinny slimy ones, I'm gonna eat me some worms....

Hey Bonnie, you did not read too closely, LOL. Never used the convection part, it was just an expensive microwave....... Oh, and a special Popcorn setting for DH (I can't stand microwave popcorn)

And no, I do not bake, Periiod!

DD bakes cookies, but always in the regular oven.

But the new microwave has a lot of great features like the old convection one, like sensor reheat and defrost. which is about all we need.


But the cool thiing is, I now have 2 sparkling clean new appliances
