Sorry I havent' been around much. How is everyone's summer going?

Mine is going well. I'm working part-time and spending more time with the girls. Swimming, free movies, library, lunch dates, etc. No big vacations or anything so far. But I am doing a DIS mini meet at WDW at the end of August, and I'm really looking forward to that! We are staying at Boardwalk Villas.

Are you guys still doing a WDW meet?

Hiya, Bonnie! Nice to see you! I agree with you on the feel of the DIS, but I only feel that way when I venture over to the other Community Board threads. I think some of the people from that place that doesn't like the DIS play a part in making it that way.

I had an epic doctor's appointment today. I am seeing a specialist for pain management. Had to have a psyc evaluation too. I liked the lady that did that, we had a nice chat. She declared me well adjusted, ha! I get to have an MRI on Monday. I am going to get sedated for it, I am a tad claustrophobic.

We got an iPhone yesterday. Silly got it as a bonus from Apple. Not sure if we will keep it or sell it... leaning towards sell right now. We don't need it, they seem fun but the service contract is $25 more than my current cell phone plan. Seems like a waste of money, and we don't have any to waste.

It is raining here again. I have never seen so much rain in my life, it has been a very wet summer. I am sick of rain.

I think I am 90% over my brush with pneumonia. I am still coughing a lot, but it is no longer green. I wish I had more energy though, there is so much to get done around the house.

Haley, glad you're feeling better! I didn't realize you'd had pneumonia. Cool about the iPhone! Too bad they don't include the service as part of the bonus, but if you sell it, you're that much closer to a new laptop!!!

We have had a bit of rain here, but the corn stalks and lawns are turning brown early, so I guess it hasn't been enough.

For you stay at home moms, I dont get how you have to constantly clean the house???? I never have time for that, and ypu do it every day??????? I don''t get it.

Marita, I'm in the "I hate housework" club too! That is why I work full-time - so I have an excuse to not clean the house! But I suppose if I had little kids around, I'd want to keep the dirt and germ level down. Before my DD and the grandpuppy came to visit back in May, I vacuumed thoroughly because I was worried about what Cash might pick up off the floor

Marita -- I do not clean every day. I try to pick up everyday though so it doesn't look I did nothing all day I hate dusting, don't know why but I should do that more often. Good thing no one here has allergies.

Forgot I had very cute fireman come to the house to check our fire alarms. It is now against the law not to have working fire alarm in the house. The kids thought it was cool. They even had the big fire truck out side, they were going door to door.

Just before that we had a not so cute guy( kind of scary looking really, come to the door looking to see if we had a cat or dog because if we did we need a license. Good thing he didn't want in and took my word for it that we have no pets.

I have one more morning of catching the bus for camp. Hannah has been loving all the attention she has been getting all week from. I asked her what she wants to do tomorrow and she said shop. I always LOVED getting new school supplies. Too bad that new feeling never lasted long.

I might get a pedicure tomorrow, they left my nails longer than I like last time.

Oh, generally speaking, I had a real dilemma the last few days.
I ran out of cash, you see. Well, that is, readily usable cash!
I had a $100 bill DH gave me for my BD (from our joint account, but it's the thought that counts), but only pennies in my wallet. So I paid for my $3.67 lunch with a credit card. And today I raided the change bowl thingy and nabbed $7 in quaters. Until DH got home, then I went to my personal bank teller and liberated $40 (with his knowledge).

Why did I just say all this? I don't know. I'm just babbling..........

Just got home from my mom's. My husband went in to work early tonight so we went and spent some quality time with the impatient patient

Haley and Nab- I had and MRI years ago and swore I'd never do it again. However, 18 months ago I had to have another and had an Open MRI- like being between a hamburger bun. Wasn't bad at all. Since that first open MRI, I've had 7 more and I believe I'll be having another soonishly.
If you can, request this MRI- it is so different from the closed.

nail...druggies,...i find myslef challenged by the abusers...so i had to
develop "fighting interventions" , first was to define concrete reality
that is easily understood and accepted...drugs' actions...either
slowed your abilites to process, speeds it up or replace a chemical need.
that's it in a nut shell....* the key toward understanding the damages
they are capable of doing...is to recognize the fact...they cannot do
anything that yor body already does. ..so if one is trying to feel better
or a magical carpet ride..then there are physical alternatives that
will acivates your feelings/responses to yor current understanding.
so why don't you folow me lil' girl on a a ..magic carpet ride. i
do .. exploring ..the world,,and finding new ways of discovering
happiness...

roles -models...cool? artifically altering yor preceptions.....to used yor
imagination...does not compute... however,one can illustrate all kinds of
wild things and wonders...
but not by hydro-planing---/or puting yor brain to sleep...
i.e., ...wow oh wow..if one recognize the first chapter in the bible...
one can "see"...the creator..understood what is of man - "every type
of behaviors" , are described...but why make mankind aware...i think
for several reasons..to established a connection & as a reminder ,

even shocking...to the one, who created all. iam not impressed with
the choices..these roles models are demonstrating ..as living the good
life..they are not!..."art", to me, is the way man decorates the world...
kindness and "creating" writing, drawings, music, inventions are

me? i have no talents...dwats, but iam very happy and fulfillled.
i enjoy every day with my lil'miss though it took a few years..and
you know what i like creating?....understanding ,mostly because
iam always exploring...and storytelling...to me , life is about creating
fun by sharing... , and helping each other..through distressors.

one might be surprise..some of my heavy thinking is about...i see no
values hindering my processing with external chemicals* other than
supporting my daily functions. period! "science" - the art of explaining
the nuts and bolt & ways things work? ...but i think there are alot
holes..in our processing..from taking to much liberities and too
much credits..over & over. [ we really need to control our desires over
our needs....if we are to produce more accuracy ].

there are all kinds of ways..of feeling good without poppin pills..those
things hold my interest..like humor, like eating, like cuddling, like
sharing, like....

the things before are necessary..for helping others established their
baseline....but as long as i can keep the "education" connected to
real values [psst, to me, for anything to have values, must be from
reality and real feelings]...allows me top do a lil'selcting process..so
i can individualzed my car to match up with my patients/clients' needs...
why?..* my primary goal for redirecting and selecting interventions..are
to illustrate the best ways, they can help themselves...need an
example...using guys affinity toward cars...then i can point out...why?
pay all the extra $$$ for options..that are never used? or like
a vcr..so forth....why not use your body std. equipment ..to cope
with daily stressors , where you increased your chances for positive
outcomes..instead of negative? and with that knowledge, plus adding application..one can get so much more happiness out of life?

yes, all of these building tips..are mine..just doing a lil'thinking..and
here i been too dumb..all these years..not to understand , iam retarded-


the best talent i have..is my work...and helping others. noticed? how much
comon sense & family values...i am putting to "work"? well, i am plain and
simple...i also take my career very seriously...speakin of.. mommie poppins..
and any body else expecting...plez..do! prenatal care..again! its the
very lil' things that are so important. [ i don't care what others claimed,
....a healthy baby ..is the most precious!]

Moo-- wondered what happened to you last night, you just went poof.

Lil'g -- were you at work last night or just up late? Your pool is probably not that cold. Were the people in th pools at Disney in Jan.

It is really foggy out this morning but the sun is trying to peak out.

Marita-- I do that all the time. We have a jar with our change in it. If I run out that is where I go too. But we have a loonie and a toonie. So I don't have to count quarters too much. If you don't know what that it is a dollar and two dollar coin.

Poly-- thanks for that advise on the MRI. Hope I don't ever need another one but good to know.

Well off to go shopping and maybe meet hubby for lunch with Hannah. This is Nicholas last day of camp.

sometimes salad bars are not good for ones diets........I went yesterday with dil and the two kiddos and my oldest granddaugher too......so they ate fries and chicken and stuff and I had the salad bar.....well ....I also got the ice cream with hot fudge for dessert.....and I tested 186 later on......I thought I made good choices but didnt I guess....so last night I only had protein for supper.....let my blood sugar go down a bit.....and two hours later it was 116....still high for my evening test but I will take it ANYDAY over 186!!
For those of us who dont want to go outside to excercise in the heat ...or go outside and excercise when it is below zero....you can do three ten minute walking in place type excercises......put on some music and walk in place ....my kind of excercise.......I used to excercise with Richard Simmons and his dance videos.....I loved that.....I guess later on I will put on Meatloaf and do some dancing to his.........YES I LOVE MY MEATLOAF......
My AC is on high .......the ozone today is supposed to be bad and the heat up again in the high 90s.....so I may stay in today.....

Marita we had a heck of a storm last night around 8. Lots of roads flooded on our way home(back roads) and the lightening was right on top of us. But not cracking. I think it was jumping right over our heads from cloud to cloud. Really weird.

As for cleaning the house everyday. Ha. It NEEDS to be cleaned everyday. Of course having 4 kids at home ALL the time doesn't help that. If I am feeling good I clean 2 times a week with sweeping in between and toilets if there are any accidents. Plus almost daily wiping down the boys sink because of toothpaste. As for having time for it? Yesterday I never sat on the couch once until like 4pm. Already today the carpets could use another vacuuming. Whoever decided carpet in a dining room was a goog thing should be shot.

Of course the new house will be the same. But that's okay because as soon as we can we'll rip it up and put down a wood laminate instead. Much easier to rip up carpet than tile.

Nab - You asked about me? I was in bed still at that time. I didn't have Ivy yesterday or today, so I took advantage of it. Of course that meant I had to clean red popsicle out of the carpet when I got up.

Bonnie - Nice to see you. I agree that it is the DIS troublemakers club members that are causing any problems on the CB. They don't like the DIS or people who still post there and make fun of every single poster on their thread. They've even had their go at us and even me. Almost any time someone posts something and people start in it's on of them.


Pumba - I hate exercising in the house. I only like non-exercise exercise. Like house cleaning, or mowing the grass, gardening, riding bikes, taking nature walks, swimming in a pool, kayaking. All of which is not possible to do in the summer months of SW FL. Except house cleaning, which can only be done so many times a week.

Hi Debbie! How are you? I'm teaching pre-school three days a week. But I usually go home early cause we dont' have very many kids. It's easy! And I like the people I work with.

Cheryl and MommyP, I didn't quote you in case we aren't supposed to talk about that place, I've heard it is taboo. But yeah, I think you might be right about that. MommyP, I did see when you were targeted there....NOT COOL! I have been mentioned on there a few times as well. But I just felt like, "hey! I've arrived!".

Yes Marita- our houses are so dirty because we are home all the time. And the whole big family thing.... just makes for more work. I run the the dishwasher almost every day and the laundry never ends. I dust, vacuum (well often more often because the manna falls daily) , and clean bathrooms once a week (well the bathrooms I outsource to DS13). Sinks, the kitchen counters and floors are cleaned about once per day but could really use it at least 3 times a day. My biggest job is overcoming entropy. Just putting away stuff. I don't do it constantly cause that would drive me bonkers. I try to have a clean up party about an hour before daddy comes home... also adds to the illusion that I am a competent housekeeper.


Today I pick up DS from camp. Goldenchild needs a haircut and we have a play date at McDonalds with friends from the prairie.

I do the SAME thing! Only I never know when he is coming home sometimes it's really early, so I do that once before lunch and again mid afternoon. Only I don't do it. i make the boys pick up because it's all their junk out.
