oh great... now I can be MORE jealous

I mean- how cool PJ!

My house is trashed but I do have some good bathtub advice.

Put baking soda in the water for the kids' baths. It prevents diaper rash, heals diaper rash, cuts down on itching from grass, bug bites etc AND keeps your tub sparkling clean. Then use the scrubbing bubbles once a week to disinfect and your tub is always clean and germ free. And your kids will have great skin. :thumbsup2

This useful post brought to you by the Twinkie School for Children With Ridiculously Sensitive Skin.

Poly- still thinking of you! and thanks for the great halloween costume advice.

BBN- Hi! I would love for the girls to be princesses or Dorothy or Little Red Riding Hood or something like that. They were fairies last year so I should be content. Now Twinkerbell wants to be a cowgirl or a pirate. I thought of you.

Hi DTD- glad you are chatabulous!

Sounds like a productive day MP. Did I mention that my house was trashed? and I still didn't get all the laundry and ironing done? I did rest and I hope tonight goes better. All the little twinkies are in bed so that is an achievement.

mommyp - I can't wait to see the pirates!

donald - actually mike and anthony were both pretty good. they're gone now.

everyone else - today is volunteer day at give kids the world. I'm excited and nervous.
I don't like going places where I don't know anyone and I don't know what's going on, but hopefully I'll adapt quickly.
I can't use my old standby (a drink) if I'm going to volunteer, ya know?

talk to y'all later!

Hope everyone is well! Lalijack, out.

 and :wave2:

Thanks BN - We'll have medical coverage so I'm ok. I need to see if my physical therapy is going to be covered during this strike.

Here's hoping it is all resolved smoothly.pixiedust:

I just wanted to point out that cowgirl like response. The plan is working.

Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday. Can't wait to see pics of the pirates.

1. The Chargers surprised me too. LaDainian Tomlinson looked so :guilty: at that last press conference. At least a certain lil team from Indianapolis still look good. Let's hope this continues.:cheer2:

2. :lmao:

talk to y'all later!

Have a great day today. Y'all behave yourselves.

DTD: I quoted you, but it didn't show up. Just wanted to say "Hi". Haven't seen you in a bit.

I overslept!!! By a lot. I need to leave my house by 7:15 and I woke up at 7:45. I was of course freaking out. I tried to call my teacher multiple times and she wasn't answering and at the same time I was running around like a crazy person trying to get ready. By this point I was crying too because I didn't know how I was going to make the time up, if I was going to get in trouble, etc. Well, anyway, eventually I got ahold of someone in the office. Her words to me, "sweetie, calm down, didn't you hear, we're on a one hour delay, there was a gas leak at the school." In the words of a babynurse, "my life is just one big coinkydink." So, now I'm off to school. And I'm not even late. And I got to sleep in.

p.s. GOOG MORNING, SUNSHINES!!!!

In honor of all of our friends who are in Disney World and those who wish they could be there.

Long post got eaten...

1. my 3" above the knee leg is swollen and looks like chiggers gone wild attacked all around - I took pictures!! :rotfl2:

2. Uma lost her passporter - doesnt know the plans!

3. Met Minnie Moo and Grumpy Dude at Off Kilter Concert

4. Lecellier YUMMMERS - but screaming kids, and moms complaining because mom made the ressie at 8:30 (rather than not eat there)

5. New Italian Restaurant in Epcot is open

6. Bus ride only 3 families, + us - - all the families couldnt take the time to change their poor babies with the worst offfending diaper smells - poor babies! (poor noses here, but still!)

7. Off to Epcot! (we slept in so dh could work, and my ankles could lose some swelling)

Moornin, all
I think I've finally shaken that Florida cold. Work this weekend was 80 degrees, and that just kept me feeling draggy. But 100% now.(ok, at this age, 100% is 'bout half)
Got a new gadget to be part of a survey group on spending, a home scanner. Ihave to scan every item I buy and once a week plug it into the 'puter to send to the home office. I think it's more work than I expected. Took a week to figure it out. Finally had to break down and read the instructions:scared1: .
Mostly, just wanted to return the  to BN. And howdy everybody.

I just found this posted on the Peeps thread. Lexi is on the right, Sandy next to her in green, and Uma in the middle with the hat on.

Did I not tell you I "felt" more coinkydinks in your future? Always trust a bbn.;)

Hi Sandy!! sorry about those swollen ankles. I'm sure they're a pleasure to walk on. Epcot isnt big or anything.:scared: Thanks for the continued updates. We are all living vicariously through you.

Glad your feeling better.

In defence of all Mom's with babies. We have, on more than one occasion, had a baby poop as soon as we got ON the bus, or right before and didn't know until it was too late.

How could Wendy lose her Passporter already??

We we STILL aren't done with school! Adding English and History(for Jeremiah) has really put a cramp in our 2 hour style. We had to break for lunch at about 12:40 and as soon as I get it all cleaned up Jeremiah has History, which thankfully he can mostly do by himself and they both have English. Which thankfully is still super easy since it's just the beginning of the book. Of course during school today I realized the immediate need for them both to have handwriting again. :scared: Thank googness that's cheap.

Of course we could have gone a little faster, but I doubled them both up in their phonics and Jeremiah is doing 2 math's right now. But still, mostly they just took FOREVER!

I was soooooooooo hungry. I had a PB&J and a small amount of penne pasta with sauce.

Twinkie - Goog idea adding the baking soda. Does it really keep the soap scum down? Jeremiah has eczema and Ethan has a mild case of it as well. I've been on a using vinager kick to keep my house clean. One day Jeremiah or Seth(can't remember) sprayed the cleaner in the eyes of his younger brother. Thankfully it was just vinager. Since then I haven't bought anything else. I just use bleach in the toilets and on the floors.

:thumbsup2 ...pretty & :cool2: ..but where's the guys? :confused3

ohhh.....c~girl? ever heard that old saying?....more $$$$, than brains?

..sure wish ..i was in that boat.....[ i just hate havin' to work, for a

living....]. are you in? :lmao:

dwatts-it !..how come everyone a smiling???? hmmmmm, & hear i was

hoping you all were missing me?

well, didya git me somthing? [ besides a happy feeling? ] . nah, putting
a stamp..on some "wild & crazy"....pixie pic..dosen't count either....

..i want real goods!....

...:confused3 , c~ girl, in "real life..i'm really boring....

* baby nurse..did you "hear" about the osu [ oka'loma state] coach's
..rage..over the press? ....i'm not surprise!.."freedom of the press" is
one thing..but writing lies...should be retracted..& other penalities..

..surprising, the reporter a female? { based on her feelings that their
qb, is not preforming well [winning games]..so she thinks "chastizing"
the kids..will help? ..we 're talking about ..a sport..based..on a game..

i thought:

it was very good thing..i thought..first for the coach to recognized
the negative efffects...set a limit..& redirected the reporter. hooray,
:cheer2: ..for a coach..who really get "it" [the value of participating
in a sport]...

anyhoo..this sorta explains my "beefy" all the time..& my concerns
"seeing"...how a few are ruining the good intentions..for all :rolleyes1
it is the ways..we play any "games"..in life...that determine the
values..we can get from them. oh, just because all behaviors have
meanings..{ the catcher}, dosen't always = "purpose". kinda shows
why doing things right..is important?

..my goodness..baby nurse..alot of osu players..are on the colts?
well that makes sense..since...indianpolis is just straight across
from columbus...oh, mike d..after osu won in 2003, told everyone he
didn't "signed"....stuff..cos of the "resale"...but then he saw my
daughter's osu..cap....* with all the disney characters' signatures
..so he grabbed it..& signed anything else i wanted..wasn't that neat?

so ...:sad2: ..i've been leaning on the heavy side, it just we've
been seeing way too many ... young people.

Yes on the baking soda! I buy it in 9 lb bags. I discovered this when the twins were tiny- they had AWFUL diaper rash and super sensitive skin (half of DH's family is allergic to soap). The doctor reccomended baking soda baths to help the skin heal.... and I noticed two things...

1) once I finally got the horrible rash cleared up if I kept adding baking soda to the water it seemed to prevent or make future cases more mild (my kids broke out in a rash if the poopy diaper was in contact with their skin for over 1 millisecond... I kid you not)

2) my 50 year old tub on which I had tried every product known to man (even soaking it in straight up clorox for hours) was less dingy than it had EVER been... we were going to have it resurfaced but it looked so much better (not perfect) that we didn't

My next house was new construction and had some sort of antislip bottom in the tub which gets dingy after about 2 uses.... the kids tub stayed sparkling and I had to scrub scrub scrub mine all the time until:idea: I realized that the difference was the baking soda. So I just started giving the kids baths in our tub a couple times a week. Wah la- dingy bottom is now clean and I didn't scrub it nearly as hard or often.

Twinkie, thank you for that useful post!

I hope Wendy thought of calling Lost and Found for her passporter!!!!!!!!!!

So far today I have done NOTHING useful or productive in any way. I'm on VACATION!!

Elis....what can I say? When you're right, you're right. ;)

Marita...jealous of your doin nothin day!!! :cool1: ENJOY!

MommyP....I am interested to learn more about homeschooling. Seriously.

DTD, Sandy, LilG, Twink...:wave2:

Cute picture, everyone, looks like a great time!!!!

I don't think anything interesting happened to me today. :confused3 Maybe it'll come to me.

Marita...jealous of your doin nothin day!!! :cool1: ENJOY!

Well, as DH pulled up, I decided to look kind of busy, and fold a basket of laundry I washed last week, LOL. And did a load of dishes....... So I think my duties for today are about done. Not having little kids helps a lot!

Twinkie - MommyP thanks you for that useful post. Although it would be even more useful if you would tell me WHERE to buy it in 9lb bags! And how much to put in each bath. How much does a 9lb bag of baking soda run these days?

PJ - I would be happy to tell you anything you want to know. Just PM me and hope for a goog day. Today was not. We didn't get done until almost 3, which meant no rest time for Mama.
