and YAY for upcoming Cancun!

I spent yesterday getting up at 5:45 to take DS to the airport, he closed on the house, YAY! Then I ran around from Dr. to Dr. until 5:30 and then worked. I was way too tired to post last night, but I enjoyed the frenzy.

This morning I spent some time at the Contemp. Lots of stuff happening there, so that should be fun.
I just finished writing up my self-evaluation for this year  Review is tomorrow at 9:30. I hate, hate, hate this stuff. (I know its not nice to hate, WT, WHEREEVER YOU ARE)

Now I have to actually get some food in me, I think........

Not officially starting new job till 12/14, that's when the former analyst leaves, so I have to suffer another week!

Whover wanted an alarm the other day, google "novelty alarm clocks" for a ton of choices

PS: I scheduled my second eye surgery for January 11, YAY!!!

Consider this me saying hi. Hi, Celery. :wave2:

PS: I scheduled my second eye surgery for January 11, YAY!!!

I like it. :thumbsup2

Peej! You snuck in there on me! Tell T Swizzle I said holla! And check your PMs.
TSwizzle must have fake numbered me the last time she was in town! THE NERVE!!!!! I just tried to text her for you and it doesn't seem to be working. Either that or maybe I'm getting her number confused with the pope's again. Hey, it happens.
And thanks for tolerating me.

There's a cat on my keyboard. It's making it hard to type.

Howdy, ALL! Finally have a chance to check in - things have been busy lately and I had yet another work-related evening meeting tonight.

bbn - Sending hugs   for you and your mom. Fingers crossed for fantastic treatment results!

Peej - You CAN do it! Look how much you're accomplishing as a teacher already :goodvibes So happy to hear your Florida trip was nice.

Nabbie - LOVE your fireplace and the decorations! :thumbsup2 Very pretty.

Cel - Congrats on having a good show

Lynette - I did a bit more Internet shopping tonight after I got home. My DD loves sending me Christmas list e-mails with stuff from Etsy  When she was home recently, we laughed about all the crappy stuff on regretsy.com and the fact that there is a section on there that shows things that have actually sold!!!

Marita - w00t for DS closing on his house and you getting your other eye surgery scheduled  (that's you all excited about how well you'll be able to see with both eyes done!)

Pumba - I'm trying to get to book 2 of that NR wedding trilogy. Too many library books to read first!

Lil G - I say just ignore the DVC boards and go have a great time!!!!!!!!!!!

Twink! My house is not Christmas'd yet either. I have no excuse other than sheer laziness. I need to vacuum and dust before I put up the dang tree, etcetera etcetera.

Mony - CANCUN!!!

morning my friends......I am down to today and tomorrow with my baby Ava and then she moves on to her Auntie (Angel had her baby a month ago and wants to stay home with her...soooooo she needs some income to do this).....so My baby Ava will go to her other Auntie. Angel is the one that lost her baby last year to Spinal Meningiitis at the age of six weeks.....
I have had Ava for the last year....she came in January and its been a great great time with her.....she is a card I can tell you that...

Today it is RAINING and I mean RAINING.....like one of those torrential downpours that Disney likes to give us when we visit the House of the Mouse....hahaha......I told that dang dog to go PEE or else .....I even held the umbrella over her head

Pumba -- it was raining pretty heavy last night but stop by the time I had to get the kids to school. Still looks like it could rain any minute though. And it is still mild. Not complaining , this could be all snow. :rotfl:

Marita-- :woohoo: on getting the second eye done soon. Your son must feel proud to be the owner of his first house.

Mony--Cancun I am so jealous. We have gone away in the winter every year since we met, I guess minus the years I was pregnant. This year we can't too many other thinks going on. Last year at this time we were getting ready for our cruise and short meet with Moo.

I have been running around like crazy trying to get my Christmas shopping done. We will be down to one car next week. We let the truck go it was on lease but the miles were getting to high so we got someone to take over the lease. I can tell you I was pretty mad at hubby for this, why he couldn't wait until Jan. when I have no where to go.

Lynette-- I must say we have never brought anything on line. To scared to put our info out there I guess , or worry it won't come in time.

P.J-- does your school do a Christmas concert? Hannah 's grade 4 class is doing My Christmas Song? by Celine Dion. Hannah is pretty funny , she found it on You Tube and sits at the computer and sings with it. I want to try and catch it on video with out her knowning because she will stop if she sees me.

Oh, she's a tricky one, fer shur. Think the Pope's got an in for good tickets? :scratchin

Tolerate, schmolerate!

How IS the cat of many names? Would you like me to ship LB to you to keep him company? Please?

Lynette - I did a bit more Internet shopping tonight after I got home. I'm especially fond of the chicken poncho. :lmao:

Good gravy, NAB! It was raining buckets this morning when I woke up, and there were winds gusting up to 65 mph! But by the time I left for work around 9am, it was already clearing up, and we broke weather records today in the Boston area....I think the temperature reached 70! Gorgeous!

I do lots of shopping online. So much easier and more convenient than having to schlep around in search of stuff.

Boris and Natasha's report cards come home tomorrow. I'll be interested to see if they've lived up to their mid-term progress reports. Wish us luck!

I am watching Celtic Woman, which I DVR'd the other night. What amazing voices they all have! They even threw a Disney song in there!

We are supposed to get heavy rain here tomorrow, Yikes! It's just fine if I am inside, but I hate it when I have to go out and drive in it.

DS called DH this morning and told him the temp in his car read 1 degree when he left for base this morning. And it's not even winter yet!! BRRR!!

Nab, I love shopping online too, do it all the time. So convenient. You can even do things like drop a hint on the Dis, and your good friend Cel will send you stuff, Ha! One xmas shopping item crossed off the list, and you don't even need a car. I can't remember the last time I went to a department store.

In other news, tomorrow is my last official day in this job I hate. I feel like this HUGE weight has been lifted from me. ::worship::worship::thumbsup2:cool1::dance3::yay::hippie::love::laughing: :cheer2::woohoo::woohoo::cool1::cool1::thumbsup2
I realize now how much I have been supressing my misery (or trying to anyway) just to get through the days. New start on Monday!! :hippie:

it was soooooooo wet and soooooo raining hard that the rivers and streams flooded again......like spring runoff only in December.......the rain stopped and the temp was 60......can you believe that....Christmas is right around the corner and voila its warm......gotta love that..
and YUP ...you dont have to shovel one or two inches of rain.......which if it was snow we would of been under a few feet of the stuff..almost said Crap but I am a lady as you all know.....hahaha.

Lil G......we didnt get any deer this year....Our son got a good size buck 165....I love venison .....yummy....

have a good night everyone

After getting a bunch of rain last night, it's snowing like crazy here tonight. And accumulating

I just got home at 8:30 after going to a swim class. It's nice to get back in the water. A friend and I are going to an athletic club and the pool was fairly warm, but not too warm for exercising. Afterward, we got in the whirlpool for a while. Boy, that sure felt great! Apparently they have a cold tub too and the woman who was in there said it really helps reduce inflammation. I think I'll stick with the whirlpool though!

70 degrees, Lynette??! I'm so jealous. Guess I need to go check out the chicken poncho ;)

Nabbie - Sorry you lost your wheels while you still need to finish your Christmas shopping  Guess your hubby must just want you to stay home and get the basement in order :confused3

Marita - YAY for leaving your crappy job soon! :dance3: Before you know it, you'll be griping about split resort stuff again and cursing me and Lil G ;)

I'm glad for you too, marita.

nabbers - i missed that you are car-less.
hmm
Guess I should go back and read.

I submitted my show! 700 exactly in commisionable orders.
How did I get to 700 exactly?
Mamacel ordered 16.50 worth of stuff that she doesn't know about. :lmao:

I needed it to be even to get the most rewards!

thanks, marita for the order!

I couldn't live without online stuff - of course, I do all my school online and I have to order my books for them online.
then places like amazon and ebay are life savers -
I recently got an out of print book from amazon.

it's a reader's digest book called how to do just about anything.
it comes in soooo handy.
On saturday, Camden and I used it to figure out how to make the best paper airplane.
I used it growing up to figure out how to make a souffle.
if you want to do it, it's in that book.

I'm so tired! I've been in bed for an hour, but still typing.

Pumba -
60 in Maine?
crazy!
It's under 40 here. I think the wind chill is worse though.

I'm headed to New York City next week! woo! (I always say it like that pace picante commercial with a hick accent)
Actually, we won't be in Manhattan proper.
Michael and I have to visit 4 clinics in the Westchester area, two on Staten Island and one in Brooklyn.
And we're flying in and out of Islip - which makes no sense, but Michael hates LaGuardia and Southwest only flys to Islip.
It'll be crazy.

lil g - I watch phineas and ferb when the kids are around. It's cute. I pretend that my dog is a secret agent like the duck bill platypus on there. I think his name is perry.

Marita - YAY for leaving your crappy job soon! :dance3: Before you know it, you'll be griping about split resort stuff again and cursing me and Lil G ;)

Yup, can't wait, LOL. I'll take DVC over this anytime! So if I ***** about that (and no doubt I will), it's all good!
Funny thing is, the 2 people that left when I was moved here LOVED it, and hated to back to the field, but this was really my nightmare job, I knew before I started. Back in '95, I did the same thing at Epcot, and ended just moving out on Memorial day, left my boss a voicemail, and went back to Resorts.
I have yet to tour BLT, hope that comes next week sometime. We have to do a "mock" forecast first though, more for practice with new files and explanations than anything else.

YAY for going back to swimming classes, Moo. Hot tub sounds great!

Dang dog wants to go out AGAIN!

Unfortunately, yes. I mean, I love the Christmas concert idea? :rolleyes1 It's just that our brilliant performing arts teacher decided it should be the Thursday night before Christmas break and it should start at 8pm. It will be over around 10. They'll all go to bed way too late, be all hyped up for Christmas break the next day, and Friday will be wild. We also have to keep them in our rooms while they're not singing, then escort them to the stage to sing, then back to our rooms. It feels like babysitting and being at school from 8am-10pm isn't my idea of fun. Wow, I bet that was a lot more than you bargained for!!
Anyway, you should definitely sneak up on Hannah. That sounds adorable.

Oh, she's a tricky one, fer shur. Think the Pope's got an in for good tickets? :scratchin

How IS the cat of many names? Would you like me to ship LB to you to keep him company? Please?

I'm especially fond of the chicken poncho. :lmao:
Yeah, he has an in with TSwizzle, too. Let me get in touch with him so he can get in touch with her. Give me a few days.

The cat of many names (most recent: Jasper) is just fine and dandy. His new hobby is sitting on the keyboard as I try to type. And I think I'm all set with freakish animals. Thanks for the offer though...what a pal?

I rescind my previous request for fudge. I would like a chicken poncho.

In other news, tomorrow is my last official day in this job I hate. I feel like this HUGE weight has been lifted from me. ::worship::worship::thumbsup2:cool1::dance3::yay::hippie::love::laughing: :cheer2::woohoo::woohoo::cool1::cool1::thumbsup2
I realize now how much I have been supressing my misery (or trying to anyway) just to get through the days. New start on Monday!! :hippie:
Well that's great news, Marita! It's good to see you so happy and excited about it. We'll need a full report Monday.

Snow?! Wow. Hope it's not too much to drive in or anything like that.

A cold tub?! Sign me not up!

Celery...I'm pretty sure Cookie is on his way out. I knew that would be of interest to you. This morning when I came in he was draped across his wheel with his head bent all sideways. I picked him up and poked him and his eyes are like stuck shut and he didn't react. He also keeps trying to walk to his food dish and he can only move like 2 inches and then he gives up. The kids noticed right away. I think I'm probably going to have some explaining to do within the next few days!

I should probably go to bed but I don't think that's on the agenda yet.

Marita- Congrats on the new job! :hippie:
NAB- Sorry you are carless.
Peej- That Christmas concert (are you sure it is Christmas and not Winter Solstice? ;)) is by far the stupidest idea I have ever heard of in early edumahcational circles... and to compare let us remember that one Twinkie Child is a graduate of the Stephen Covey Early Elementary Program and that I myself was taught that "the Elvis Years" were a bona fide historical era. A concert ending at 8 pm is too late for little people... and on a school night?????

Only one more week of class for me! And exams the next week. Today I am writing/plagiarizing a lab on the concept of natural selection.... using M&Ms. :cool2::idea:

PJ!!!! What???? Is that lady for reall???? I and many more parents would be calling the office and complaining to the principle.

So this is another end to another semester for me! Things are fallig so nicely into place. I am sheduled to take the Basic Skillz Exam Jan 9, AND upon PASSING all three areas as soon as winter term is over I will be able to apply to the College of Education. I have pre-calc, math for teachers and educ of the exceptional child next term. Calc scares me, the other two classes I am looking forward to.

DH started a new position, again. This time very little traveling, he gets to work from home, alot! But he is crazy busy. I think this is better, cause even though he is home, he is busy and outta my hair. And if I do need him, he's here. I am very thankful that they value him and found him a nice position and just didn't phase him out when they consolidated the other position he had.

After today I will be down to 1 part time child. I've run an add for the last 4 weeks and yesterday i got my first phone call from a single mom with 3 kids who needs day care from 630am to 730 pm, drive her kids to and from school. It killed me to turn her down. I have way to many of my own kids that have places to be and with my school scedule I just can't do it. Plus my help doesn't drive and my hours are from 7am-6pm. When does she see her own kids?

Anyways way excited about Cancun tomorrow.

I think I am done putting all my Christmas stuff up now. It took a long time.

The kids had the day off today and let Nicholas have a friend come over today and sleep over tonight. Bad idea...two 12 old boys can drive you crazy. They are very loud, leave things everywhere and pick on poor Hannah and her stuff. :sad2:

I am leaving them home tonight with Hubby. Hannah and I are going to see Santa at the mall. This could be worse with the crowds but I don't think so. She wants to give him her letter that she has been writing over and over again. Rough copy, good copy, then another good copy because she used the wrong colour. I think we are good now.:rotfl:

Mony -- safe travels , I know you well have a great time!

Marita-- was this your last day, new office on Monday.:woohoo: Wishes do come true....

'Sup Moovers? Happy Friday to one and all!

I am too darn lazy to quote, but I do have this to say:

Peej, that performing arts teacher should tarred and feathered for the mere suggestion that an evening concert for little people is a good idea. I harumph her vehemently. :snooty:

Sorry to hear about Cookie. Perhaps the stress of living among the Bloods and the Crips of your classroom is too much for him? That sure would make ME angst-y.

One chicken poncho.....coming up!

Twink, are we talking Blue Suede Shoes Elvis, or white leisure suit Elvis? Because OBVIOUSLY there's a huge difference there.

Mony, safe travels! Have an amazing time! And congrats on your DH's new job!

NAB, how was the mall? What'd you buy? popcorn::

Things are good 'round these parts. My ebay auctions are going well. We are looking forward to a decent weekend (I am actively ignoring the mentions of 2-5" of snow forecast for tomorrow...please humor me.) The kids are finally going for their H1N1 shot tomorrow after Natasha's CCD class. And they got their report cards today. They did even better than I expected......Boris even managed to bring home TWO A+'s!!!!!! (social studies and math) Today, I'm this guy ----->:cloud9:

Lynt, W00t for great report cards and Ebay!

PJ, what Lynt said...

NAB, only shopping I got do so far is what I ordered from Cel, LOL. I don't think either DH or DS would appreciate any pampered chef stuff. (I hope it appeals to DD's inner cookie nerd)

Not a Christmas decoration in sight in my house so far.

What an utterly dreary, horrible and cold weather day here today. Rain all day long. I woke up an hour late!! It was so dark outside, I thought it was 7:30, and it was already 8:30  Luckily, there was a 10 am meeting somewhere else that would require travel time, so I was able to cover up lateness...

So anyway, my last day started out getting up late, but going to a 2 hour meeting on time, then a 2 hour lunch with a variety of people after (about 16), then an hour meeting which included (and was mostly), a cake eating fest for a woman getting married on Sunday. This was followed shortly after by a conference call that Disneyland put on my calendar from 4-5pm, my last hour of my last day there :sad1: I managed to get rid of them by 4:45 though (after telling them I was still packing in my last hour of my last day )
Anyway, got all packed up, but boxes are still in the office, it was raining and not really anyone around to help, so I will pick them up sometime next week when I have available packmules, ummmm, guys, I mean.......

Have a great weekend, all! :hippie:
