GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Thanks for the kind words about the girls. I think any accident that teenagers survive is a good accident. A real eye-opener...ya know?

So now Mimi is driving the art car. My SIL is an art teacher/artist and she and my other SIL created this car. It just sits in her garage so she offered it to Mimi til she gets something more permanent. Can't wait to see Mimi driving it!

Peej....I've got a teacher conference on Friday. With all four 3rd grade teachers! They team teach so they all have to be there. They are "very concerned about DS's acedemic performance and lack of focus." :sad2: I'm very nervous about it. I'm trying hard with him at home and I know he's really smart but he just doesn't pay attention. Not hyper....just lacks focus. Any suggestions????

Moo....Today I'm cooking a Boston butt via crock pot. I hate the way it smells when it cooks but I like the way it tastes when it's done.

Does anybody have a good recipe for Thai peanut sauce? I bought that bottled Bangkok Padang Peanut Sauce at the grocery and it is GOOOOOOOD. But it's pricey ($4/bottle) and I think I can copy it. It's just peanut butter, soy, garlic, cayenne, and some spices. Anybody????

Everybody have a great day!

Good Morning!

Lexi: So glad the girls were ok! How scary...especially since Julia is now driving.

Celery: WB! Back to the homework grind, eh?

Peej: The Jessie hat is adorable. Stop selling yourself short. NOW!

Marita: I DID mark my calendar. lol

Nab: I know how you feel. There's not enough hours in the day.

Moo: Yesterday was perfect chili weather. I might make some this week too.

LilG: Don't you just love Tim Tebow? I'm a HUGE fan. Wish the Colts could grab him up and keep him waiting in the wings until Peyton retires. lol

MommyP: Glad you had a nice day at the beach. I am sooo jealous.

Allie: You skim????

Twink: kik

I'm going to go meet the loserfreak for breakfast at this really cool place in Loouhvull called Lynn's Paradise Cafe. It is a quirky, off the wall place, but the food is AMAZING. She's been featured on all kinds of national t.v. shows and stuff. YUMMMMM!!!

Have a wonderful day y'all

hello everyone.

A very dear friend lost her husband of 40 years. He died of Pancreatic Cancer and was a wonderful person. I guess I sat in Maine and mourned the loss of this great man and the sadness for my friend.

Patrick Dempsey was in town for a bike and run race. they raised over 1 million dollars for breast cancer. He is a cutie petutie....

My family is great. My sister from upstate NY was here Sunday night with her hubby and I had the rest of my siblings and spouses here for supper......I made two pretty near perfect apple pies and had a great ham dinner with all the fixings.........it was delicious.. Patting oneself on the back.....hahaha

I will read and get updated on everyone soon.

love ya and missed ya

Lexi-- that is one colourful car. And huge. Wouldn't want to park that. I dont' even drive hubby's truck. To big for me I will stick to my small car.

Pumba--:hug:sorry about your friend. We missed you around here.

Marita -- I think I will keep my schedule over yours. I put my name down to volunteer more at the school and church this year. I did the field trips but I might do some of the lunches or what ever else they need. Kids won't be in elementary school forever and didn't want to miss out on these years with them.

Plus my life isn't that exciting, just everyday things to do. Girl Guides tonight. I have a box of mint cookies to sell now too with Hannah.

lex - I love the art car!!!!!
If you find the peanut sauce, let me know. I want it too! :thumbsup2

peej - is there a theme for the costumes this year? I bet your jessie is great!

I had the CM on splash mountain tell me I couldn't ride because I wasn't in costume.
I told him it was Alli's fault

Speaking of, she's in the hospital.
I see many bills in her future.
Cuz Vanderbilt LOVES putting you in ICU when you don't have insurance. :sad2:
At any rate, her oxygen saturation is at 94% even with oxygen on.
They're moving her to a regular room.

Hi to everyone else!

It's too short though, I was flying by the seat of my pants without a pattern or anything, so now I know she needs longer. lol I just had a friend who had a 4lb 14oz baby last week though, so it'll make the perfect gift for her. :thumbsup2

Celery-- sorry to hear that about your sister.:hug:Your family is having a rough year.

Mommy P-- You did a great job. I dont' think it is too short. Babies are allowed to show diaper. :lmao: Now when they are teenagers I would worry.

Made my kids happy today by making a chocolate cake this afternoon. Really should have made pumpkin pie for hubby since this weekend is Thanksgiving. I will leave that to my mom. She makes the best pumpkin pie!

It's too tight to b e that short, it rides up. It's okay, I made another. :) I put it up on FB.

Is it wrong that I giggled at that picture? How does Mimi feel about driving the art mobile?
I bet the teachers will have good suggestions for you based on what they know about your son. Different things work for different kids. Make sure you tell the teachers what you're doing at home and little tricks they can use to keep him motivated. I'm sure the conference will go fine!!

Only if Michael winks at me again.

You forgot to mention that they have vegetarian biscuits and gravy. Gosh, I wonder why that isn't the first thing that popped into your mind.

Hi to everyone else!
How perceptive of you. The theme this year is Toy Story. But Hollywood is a loser and wouldn't participate. My friend Eren is being BoPeep, her boyfriend is being Woody, and my friend Ben is being Buzz. Granted, they're not all going to WDW, but we'll have a party when I get back. I can't believe you didn't wear a costume to the halloween party. COME ON!

Prayers for Allie.

MommyP...oh my heavens that is SO precious!!!! I saw the one on FB too. Oh, and that baby wearing them is pretty cute too. ;)

I am leaving tomorrow after school. :) I just typed my sub letter for Thursday and Friday and it was 6 pages. Single spaced. I have issues! I just figure a sub would rather have too much information than not enough.

I had 19 conferences today, so that was a good turn out. Definitely a long day. I have 2 more in the morning, starting at 7:30 so I guess it's time to start packing!!!

See y'all in a few days...behave(ish)!
:grouphug:

I should lnow better than to go to bed early. Woke up at 4 am and every 10 or 20 minutes thereafter and was dead tired this morning!

Today was supposed to be the first big day of Year end close, but some program id not run last night, so everything was messed up untill tonight.

For example, Administration, which is a fairly small piece, was forecasted at 3 Mill, and the P&L said $20 mill. There is no way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, so everything is compressed into tomorrow, and tomorrow is my eye appt for my surgery. But BB said to keep it, whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PJ, they said on the local news recored highs for October here :(

Lex - Hope your pork roast turned out well! Don finished off the chili tonight so I made some salmon I just got from Schwan's. It was pretty good. Guess I'll have to make some more chili next weekend  I LOVE peanut sauce! I have to limit my visits to the Thai restaurant near my office because I always order the satay chicken and eat too much peanut sauce. Theirs is delicious.

The art car made me think of the Vista Cruiser on That 70s Show!

Pumba - Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend :grouphug: It's nice to have you back.

Peej!!! Have a wonderfu visit with your sisters and a great time at the Halloween Party! Looking forward to seeing pics of your costume. And I just have to say . . . vegetarian biscuits and gravy??! Do they make that with soy sausage?

Cel - Hope Alli improves soon  Thanks for the code for the group photo. I still need to upload it.

MommyP - Your pics of Ellie are precious! :cutie:

Nabbie - I've been craving pumpkin pie lately. I'm thinking of making a low carb pumpkin fluff recipe soon. I need to buy a couple more ingredients, but I picked up some plain canned pumpkin a couple weeks ago.

Wow first post of the day!

It is really cold outside today. They had mass at the school today so I had to walk back and forth a few extra times.

Just got back from swimming lessons with Hannah we are having a girls night. Hubby and Nicholas are off to see KISS tonight in concert. Hannah didn't want to see them. I'm am sure they would be really loud too.

So we are going to get her bathed up , homework done and sit and watch Top Model and stay in out of the cold tonight.

Nab, good to stay out of the cold, BRRR! Still 90's here, they said new record highs for October. It's supposed to perfect weather this time of year:sad1:

I went for my Eye surgeon appt today. All went fine, they all agreed (I saw 3 people) that I definitely need the surgery. So that was fine and well, except that I need clearance from my primary doctor, whom I have not seen in years, so I don't know when he will fit me in. No clearance, no surgery!

So at 11:30 the Dr said I need more drops for dilation (same as my regular doctor). But this time it really did a thing to me. I could not see a thing with the sun glaring! I sat around for 2 hours and finally called DH to come pick me up, cause I still could not see to drive.

So DH comes to pick me up and decides to move my car, since I missed the back entrance and parked in the street. Well, apparently, I drained the battery sitting in the car for a while with the air running :sad2:

So tomorrow morning I have to call a cab to take me there, and call AAA to jump start me.
To top it all off, today was a super busy day at work, my co--workers are going to be there very late. BB was nice enough to let me keep my appt, with the expectation I would be in by noon or so. I did call in and asked if there was anything I could do to help from home.I did one thing, but that's it.

I asked a nurse after about 1 1/2 hours of waiting for my vision to improve how long it usually takes. She told me about 2 hours. DH got there ( I was waiting in the car and he missed me) and they told him 4-5 hours. It's now 7 hours later, and the TV is STILL blurry!!!

Marita - It sounds like you had a heck of a day, but I'm glad you had your appointment! Hope you can get into your doctor soon and get cleared  Goog luck with your car tomorrow.

Nabbie - It was still chilly here today. I really miss seeing the sun! That was probably the greatest thing about vacation -- all the sunshine.

I have not felt like going to swimming since the weather turned so cold. I found out this afternoon that my niece has mono, so I went out to pick up a few things for a care package. My sister came out and shopped with me for some PJ pants to make sure I got the right size. My sister told me that there was a huge marching band thing at the school where we usually swim, so we figured it would be a pain to park. Guess I'll have to ride the exercise bike tonight

Hope Peej's travels are going smoothly :goodvibes

I'll send you all the sunshine you want, that's what really killed my eyes today. even with sunglasses I could not see. It's been 9 hours now, and I still cant see the TV well 5' away, sort of scary.......

Cab is ordered for tomorrow (did I say that?), Going to call AAA on the way to the clinic.
Just talked to BB, they were finishing up some stuff and then heading out.

I really feel bad not being there, but I would have had to leave by 6 anyway to avoid the dark. I picked up a pamphlet today about cataracts and they listed "poor night vision" as a symptom, DUH!!!

you're soooo right, lexy, :thumbsup2:thumbsup2,

Hiya, Lil G! Meeting friendly people at WDW is always a treat! I know Buckeyes is a dirty word in many parts of Michigan ;)

Marita - How'd you make out with your car issues today? Hope you're not still at work :headache:

It was kind of dreary again here today. I really want to see the sun!!! :sunny:

Hi Moo, no, not at work, I refuse to stay after dark till after my operation.

Things went fine with the car, cab came on time (cost me 30 bucks with tip), AAA guy showed up within 30 or 45 mins, jumped my car, and it was fine after that.

We have too much sun here (well, not sun but HEAT, it's supposed to be in the 80s, instead it's 94!!!

ETA: 3 more workdays before vacation!!!

Good morning!

Lexy- I love the ART CAR.

MP- Nice work on the pillowcase dresss. I was wondering how long it would be until you starting whipping up little pink stuff. I bet she will have tutus and twirly skirts before too long.

Marita- I think you are wise to not drive in the car until the operation.

Peej- I was on Hollywood's side for not participating in the Toy Story costume extravaganza because you and your friend took all the good girl costumes. There are not that many girls in Toy Story. But then I remembered..... Tour Guide Barbie. Hollywood would be an awesome Tour Guide Barbie. Tell her your crazy internet friends said so.

NAB- It is cold here too. However my kids keep trying to wear shorts. :confused3

..that's sooooooooo tru..moo, :thumbsup2

[ a sign that all is "right" in the world] .* when we were @ universal...
