Twinkie - I would be more than happy to lend you some of my maternity things, however I do no own anything black or khaki. I do have lots of bright colors though.

Peej - I haven't heard anything about the birthday thing being extended, I assumed not since they have this new thing. The new promotion works out better for familes IF there is somewhere near them to volunteer and there are volunteer things that even little ones can do.

The whole free birthday ticket thing didn't work for us because out of our WHOLE family not ONE person had a weekend birthday. Even next year, no one. Sucks.

Moo, yay for work day?

I called the cataract place today and changed my pre-op appt. to Wednesday. So maybe right after vacation I can get my worst eye done. Don't want to chance it before vacation to see DS and DL.

Also told people at work today that I refuse to drive home in the dark anymore until my eyesight is fixed, I am a menace to myself and others. Except BB is still on vacation, I will tell her next week.
Quotes from the surgeon pamphlet re cataracts:

- blurry, hazy or fuzzy vision ---- yep, can't make out the people down the hall or the menu boards at McDonalds

- a feeling that here is a film over your eys ---- sometimes

- excessive glare or halos around headlights when driving at night --- yep, can;t tell if they are coming at me or across the road, hence no more night driving for me, period!!

- frequent changes in eyeglass prescriptions ---- yep, none of my glasses do me any good right now

So anyway, now I am sort of, kind of excited getting the surgery

In other (non)-news, I boilded four more eggs in my microwave egg cooker, going to make some deviled eggs along with 3 i boiled yesterday.

I just ordered a pastry bag to fill deviled eggs for $5.71. With shipping, it came to $13.WTH??????? how much can a pastry bag weigh?

Marita-- Glad you are getting your eyes taken care of. Sight is a wonderful thing. You are going to look like an egg, hope you are eatting more then eggs.

It is cold again today. Warmer then yesterday the house temp is 66 today. And not raining, yestereday it rained all day.

We did go out yesterday. Hubby surprised us at lunch and came home so we went shopping in Toronto instead. The kids were happy. Hannah got her Turkey and Nicholas got some new jeans that are long enough and a hoodie. I got a basket to put my lint and used dryer sheets in for my new laundry. Exciting eh! At the Dollar store no less.

I think we are going to try and see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs this afternoon. Nicholas is at the church right now serving for a funeral. And Hubby and Hannah went to the hardware store.

NAB, I haven't even eaten the eggs yet, LOL. I'm really kind of excited about getting my eyes fixed, but I think I'll wait till after my CA trip, just in case (did I say that already? Memory is a terrible thing to lose, LOL)

A shopping trip to Toronto sounds so "big city", LOL.

I got up at the crack of 8:30 today, WTH? Been working on new forecast files, but now I think it's time to take a break and head out to refill my wine prescription Then to go make some dinner of some sort, maybe chicken ala king. I cooked the meat a couple of weeks ago and put it back in the freezer (I think). If I did not, its time for plan B.

My poor new fridge, it was so uncluttered and prestine just a few months ago, now it is stuffed to the gills again. With what? Just hubby and me here. I may have to do a purge.

PUMBA, where are you? No word from you in a while.

I think Cel is going home today. No word from her lately either.

OK, I better get moving here. Later, gators...

PS: regarding cold weather, Yahoo says "Chili recipe" is #9 on top search list today. 90 degrees and sunny here.

Celery's flight lands at 6:30 tonight in Nashville. DH is going after the girls. I know Riley pup will be glad to see her. I now have a new utility room and I think I am putting shelves eveyrwhere so I can organize my crafts (Dh Says I can't put all the stuff back in my bedroom. Floor in bedroom is the wood lamite and it is so pretty. Kitchen floor and bathroom will be finished in 2or 3 days, Carpenters are doing a good job .Wooh I have a modern new 3 rooms. In grocery shopping/cooking news, I went to the store and picked out 6 beutimous bell peppers. Then I saw the sign that said: $4.99 EACH! So I oput them back.....
Now I'm defrosting chicken breast for chicken a la king, although I would really rather take nap. Why in the world did I get up at 8:30 today?

Nabbie - If only I COULD retire now!!! I surely would. Sounds like you had a busy day of shopping! I went to a movie with my friend Debbie. We saw Whip It, which was directed by Drew Barrymore. It was filmed here in Michigan. We really enjoyed it!

CelMama - Nice to hear from you! Glad Cel and Allie(sp?) are home safely. It was great to see/meet them last week. Newly remodeled rooms are so wonderful when they're done

ITA about not disciplining one's children. No one wants to deal with someone else's little miscreants. Children SEEK discipline and boundaries. Any parent who doesn't provide those things is simply not doing the job right.
