Moo :woohoo::yay: :dance3: WTG!! I was thinking about you and Mony today when the weather report was showing the rain and wind - starting here - heading there!!

mony I'm no help and dh is watching good eats!

Twinks I'd vote no on a 6month old - but they definately come! the 4/3 deal isnt that great (ticket savings $7?)

Cel thanks for the Live report!

Marita I've certainly considered it! JoAnn Fabric always come up on snagajob.com! I made cake today - I bought a frozen chocolate Pepridge Farm Cake! :rotfl2: $2.50!

I dont know what's wrong with me! Woke up at 8am (dh threw his suitcase on the waterbed!! He couldnt find something, and was running late!) Then I took a nap till 10 am - - got lunch went and took a nap from noon till 4 - then fell asleep on the couch till 5:30... made dinner, I am still tired! (I do have a stuffy nose!)

Sandy - I was SO cold today and the wind was wicked to drive home in! Decided not to go to swim class tonight because I couldn't face driving in that wind again or getting into the chilly water.

I'll try to upload some vacation pics tonight.

Several people at work commented that I looked smaller today!!! :goodvibes

Cel said it was a goog thing I didn't say anything to Hollywood :)

Moo, I hereby ban any pics of me taken from less than 10 feet away!!!!!

Your DH made a great hat, didn't know he had it in him, LOL!

Thanks, Mony - I still have a long way to go, but it's progress :)

Marita - Hey, you'll notice that I didn't post the two-feet away photo of us from the POTC ride! :lmao:

Hubby's hat did turn out pretty well. He received lots of compliments.

Twinkie - What a dilemma! Your baby will be very much protected against germs from your breast milk. Isaac got sick when Ellie was just about a week old and they were both nursing together and Ellie never got anything. But...even with that I worry about an entire vacation at that age. Plus do you want to be doing Disney during the day and night feedings during the night? Of course a 6 week old in a sling is about the easiest child to take to Disney and the sling will help protect baby from germs.

As far as the beach goes, well you know us we go year round. It's much cooler in Orlando in March than down here. 90% of all the cool fronts stall in Tampa, so we don't get cooled down as often. It is usually in the 80's in March, if a front does make it down it's in the 70's. The gulf temp is usually in the low 70's. So if you want a beach vacation you'll need to come south of Tampa, or it will be too chilly.

Moo - Congrats on hitting that mark! Awesome!!

Only one more night alone. Hopefully they put him to work on Thurs. and Friday so we'll get like 15 hours overtime.

Mommy P-- It never occurred to me that you are still breastfeeding Isaac. You really do have your hands full. Glad you only have one more night with out Chad. You must be exhausted.

Twinkie-- I too don't know if I would take a 6 week old to WDW. All that walking, breastfeeding day and night. Plus I wouldn't want to be there on spring break with the crowds....:lmao:

Moo-- thanks for sharing the pictures. Your looking good! Your face is so skinny now.

Celery and Martia-- nice to be able to see your faces again. You look great. Hope the weather is better for you now Cel. Marita werent you hot in those jeans?

Nab - I've never done it before. We weren't ready to wean and it worked out really well. He mostly waits patiently for his turn, sometimes I'll nurse them together, which is really sweet. He reaches over and plays with her hair or holds her hand. He only nurses a couple times a day, so it's not a big deal. It's kept him really healthy that's for sure. My nephew gets sick all the time since he stopped nursing. They'll play together when he's sick and Isaac never gets it.

It is definitely fall out there today. It is cold and very windy. More like Nov. weather to me.

Nicholas told us yesterday that their class saw a funnel cloud yesterday . We kind of said yeah right. Then today it was on the news. We did have one and it was close to the school which is where our house is.:scared1: My sister said I better pray these things don't come in threes because we had one when we were away on holidays too. The weather this year is crazy!

Hannah is excited because she starts Girl Guides tonight. She was a Brownie last year. I am just hoping they don't send cookies home the first night like last year. We went from wearing orange/navy to light blue/navy. She wants to get dressed now but we have an hour before we have to go and I don't want her to get full of cat hair.

Heading out to the theater to watch Topol (from the movie) in 'Fiddler on the Roof". DD is running late, we were supposed to have left by now... :confused3

Nab, the jeans were not hot, but I did regret wearing a long sleeved blouse. It just never seems that hot when I am at work, and I don't have a lot of real casual stuff. It tends to be either business-like or wear in the house only, LOL.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed seeing the photos! I'll try to post a few more later in the week.

I had my six month check-up today and they seemed pretty happy about my progress, but my Vitamin D level was a little low. Also, I'm supposed to increase my calories to 1200 now. Based on how well I lost during vacation when I was eating more than normal, I'm going to see how I do on the higher calories. I was occasionally eating at that level, especially on workout days, so it shouldn't be too hard to do.

Marita, hope you enjoyed your show tonight! I was over visiting my cousin that you met in December - she and her hubby are heading down to their place in Florida on Thursday.

MommyP - Hope Chad is back home soon. I always feel a little out of sorts when I'm home alone after the novelty wears off, but I only have to worry about myself and the dogs.

Twink - We saw a lot of people at WDW with infants during this trip. I would think that having a sling would help, but like Marita said, the crowds are so awful over Spring Break.

quiet night here

just got back from the theater. The show was great, Topol was fantastic!
But it was loooooooooooooooooooonggggggg first part was 1:45, then 15 min break, then another hour.

Just got home a few minutes ago and still have to get stuff ready for work tomorrow, yuck!

Twinkie - Yank the kids out of school and go when crowds aren't there. Who needs an education would you can have a vacation? ;) When does the new deal end?

I agree, Twink. Fifty years from now, will the kids remember that day they spent in school or a Disney vacation with their family? Heh.

I, personally, would not take an infant to Disney. I just don't have the patience and I'd worry about losing somebody else while tending to the baby. You must be ambulatory to go on our Disney trips. But that's just me. That's why God blessed me with children that are sooooo far apart. ;)

GREAT JOB, MOO! :yay: So proud of you. Love to fotos.

Hi, everyone! :wave2:

Twink: GO! It will be fantabulous. We took a 4 month old extremely fussy baby to WDW (Miracle Boy), but we still thought it was worth it. That was The dh's first trip too. He drank the kool-aid.

Plus it's your very special birfday. Plus it's DISNEY! A bad day in Disney is better than a good day on the prairie. hee!!

Moo, Marita, Cel: Loved the pics! Y'all looked so cute. I can't believe you've lost all that weight Moo!!!! Great job to you! And Cel! And your hubby!

What's up everybodee? I've been working lots. Glad people are still "doing it"

Here's my newest addition to the odd baby name list.

Twins:

Han-some and Luv-leigh.

Yep, dashes included. Maybe you could use one of those names for your new baby, Twink. Or MommyP could use the girl one for Ellie's baby sister.;)

BabyN - LOL. If Ellie has a sister I can assure you her name will not be Luv-leigh. I can't believe the names people give their children, Han-some? Come on! That's redunkulous.

Ellie passed her hearing test. Woot! Apparently it's the actual LAW that you HAVE to have your newborn's hearing tested. Nothing pisses me off more than the government telling me what I have to do with my own children.

Did anyone hear about the new study that says spanking your kids lowers their IQ? I told my Mom she made me dumb by giving me formula(because studies show breastfeeding makes your kids smarter, though I'm not seeing it. ;) ) and that's why I spank my kids. lol. It's a vicious cycle I tell ya. ;)

Something is wrong with our water softeners. The water has been hard the last week and the stupid run off pipe(for when it cleans itself) is having a constant leak.

Han-some and Luv-leigh are MY names. I can't believe that some chick in LooUhvulle STOLE them.
Where is the lawyer? I wanna sue.

Thank you all for the opinions on my new hypothetical disney trip. I have taken a 7 month old (goldenchild) and an 12 month old (grasshopper). Both where really no problem. Both were winter trips. I would not take a baby in the summer because I would be too worried about dehydration etc.

My mom's thought was a newborn would be a lot easier in the sling than an older baby. We called goldenchild "the bowling ball" on his first trip because he wanted to be carried (not in the stroller) and after a few miles in Epcot a 17 lb kid is pretty heavy.

I am kind of over my initial "I MUST GO" feeling. The crowds would be bad. The nursing would be round the clock. However I think pulling the kids out of school and going in the nice weather when the baby is a bit older is a GREAT PLAN. Now all disney has to do is offer a great deal and all I have to do is find a few grand under the couch. Heh.
