HOWDY everyone.

Ava is having a princess snooze and I said I will say HEY to you all........the weather this week has been gorgeous.....just fall like weather and I love that.

have most of the stuff I need for our Florida excursion....I had better buy a small umbrella and put it in the suitcase instead of those sticky ponchos we get in the parks......when it is hot and humid and wet those stick to me.....and make me yucky....
Cel and Celmama......Hope and pray that your brother/son is doing better....did he have a slight TGA......My mama had one many years ago and she had all the tests and came out fine....hey she made it to her 90s......

My machine is making a noise so I had better get off and blow out the dust...yah I think it is dusty.

Take care all of you

On-line math classes suck!

My mom called me and said, "Honey, I bought three slabs of ribs on sale, can I bring them over and you cook them? You make the best ribs."

My mom is known as an excellent cook. I was really complimented here.

So, in about an hour I will begin cooking ribs.

My nephews slept over and are still here until their grandpa picks them up. So far, no incidences have occurred.

Baby is back to being well.

School starts in one week formy kids!

Jennifer Granholm made some budget cuts and cut out the program 2 of my kids attended as pre-school. One of my day care kids was accepted into that program and we found out yesterday it has been cancelled! His mom is out in the desert for Burning Man for a few weeks, unreachable, so I did the dad a big favor and rounded up some numbers and programs that I think he could qualify for. It has to include bus service! Keep fingers crossed for this little boy. He was so excited about going to school.

And bbn, saying I'm pregnant is like a voodoo spell. Please do not jinx the impossible! I promised my DH's urologist if it ever does happen again, I'm paying him an unpleasant visit! LOL!

drive by post, no time for comments

Another late night at the office, 2 or 3 more ahead, another rainy, dark ride home, but not nearly as bad as yesterday, mostly the reflections from the wet roads.

Gotta eat something, no dinner yesterday, a bowl of soup and 2 brownies today.

I just IM's Asst #2, she was still at work. Her new hotel is not that complicated, I wondered why the heck she was still there. Turns out she was just sitting around while other people in the region were working, so I told her to tell the boss she is leaving, she has a long drive home too, no good just sitting around, and your brain gets fried after those long hours.

Off to get some food....

more  from here!! Cel and Celmama and prayers...

 back atcha all!

School started here - DD is determined to do better! Fingers crossed! We cannot go thru another year like last year! Stubborn Chit!

PJ how are things?

Moo how are your knees holding up?

Alli do you have a Swine Flu Disaster Plan in place? The news - that's all they talk about!

Mony goog luck on your math class! yum ribs!! Hope I can make ribs this weekend! burgers are cheaper....

Marita EAT!! My googness! and it doesnt look like its going to stop raining any time soon there- take care! And goog for you intervention specialist!!! How many days till you get a well deserved vacation?!

Pumba I forget about umbrellas! Its usually so darn windy they are worthless! but you are right sticky ponchos

Lali summer sure went by fast - of course we only had a few days of 90 deg or better - but I too like the easing 'em back in school!

DH thought he might have a safety net job - his old company hired him for 20 hours or more as a consultant - found out last night the company is on the verge of folding. not goog... so not goog.

so is everyone hanging out on Facebook?

Morning Sandy.

I was thinking the same thing about FB. Sure has been slow not hard to catch up lately. Everyone is busy I guess.

Kids here dont' go back to school until next week. They just put up the list of teachers yesterday. Hannah got Nicholas old grade 4 teacher , oh joy. And Nicholas got a brand new teacher to the school so he doesn't even know who she is.

I finally got my house back in order, BIL is suppose to be back to do the baseboard today. Still need a fireplace mantle so he can't finish around there or put in the pot lights yet. Still have to work on my laundry tub area but there isn't much there either. I can see the end,at least I hope I can. :woohoo:

Celery/Celemama-- how is your brother doing. He is in my prayers.

Marita-- your going to need that vacation with all these late nights.

Pumba-- I hear you on the ponchos too but I think I would be afraid of taking an eye out with an umbrella.

Jamie (my brother) was released Monday night. They don't know what happened and they don't want him driving for 6 months.
He's pretty angry over the whole thing, but what can you do?
He went to day two of his new job at a local grocery store today.

I'm still at home.
grumpy.
don't wanna go back to work.
but my house is clean.
and I'm kicking butt at mafia wars. :lmao:

School started for me this week - I'm working on it.
and I graduate from rehab on friday night.
then I guess I HAVE to go back to work.
yuck.

Peej, bbn, and Julia R.! Hope the concert was fun!!!
We (I?) had a lot of fun. If you count Julia and I sticking our heads out the sun roof singing Taylor Swift songs as a certain bbn decides to turn the windshield wipers on as fun. Ha. It was a good time. Many shenanigans were had by all.

I was laughing at the image of dogs in Renaissance costumes. Really? :lmao:

Marita...wow, your Disneyland itinerary sounds great! Count me as another one that would rather be at Disneyland than the gym at the hotel. I hate the gym under all circumstances. Perhaps you'll have to take one of us in DD's place.

PJ WTH was I thinking - I do NOT want you getting no stinkin flu neither!! YOU are too important!!
Well at least someone knows what's going on here.

Just passing through, but I wanted to say good morning to y'all! Boris and Natasha went back to school today. Waaaaah! :sad1: I could have used about another month of having them home.

We went to the classroom walk-thru for each of them yesterday, which always help to get them back in the school-year frame of mind. They saw their classrooms and got to see who else is in their classes with them. Boris got a feel for his new school, and found out where his locker is. Unfortunately, we also found out that Boris' class is an inclusion classroom AGAIN. That makes all 5 years (I'm including kindergarten) that he's been in an inclusion class. I'm not happy about it, but it's too darn late now.

On the bright side, the kids got up and got ready with no resistance this morning. Natasha was quite excited about her First-Day-of-School outfit, so that made things easy. They'll have a 3-day week this week, a 4-day week next week because of Labor Day, and then they'll have a full week the week after. Much better to ease the kids into the school year, I think.
Hope the first week back is continuing to go well. Anotha inclusion classroom?! :headache: Tell Boris to stop being so smart and have some behavior issues. They'll boot him right outta there! ;)

LOL at the aporkalypse. Baby sister is doing much, much better. She's back at Xavier. Thanks for asking!!

Now for the important stuff....manicure color, please?

Monica...glad the baby is doing better.

Cel and celmama::hug:

everybody else:
 That's all you get.

Stupid brand new teachers. Sheesh. ;) Did you not like Nicholas' 4th grade teacher or are you happy that Hannah has her?

Good news on your brother!! That sounds really scary. You're almost graduating....wtg!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I have nothing to report. Brief story. Comparing, contrasting, and venn diagrams were on the agenda today. So, being the good teacher that I am, first we read the Cinderella story, then we read the version written by Lady Tremaine. We used them to compare and contrast and I gotta say the stuff the kids wrote about Anastasia was freakin hilarious. I was texting Hollywood and everything they would say about her she would have a reason why it wasn't true. I stole the bbn's trick and changed Hollywood's name to Anastasia in my phone. The kids were dying laughing as they thought they were texting Anastasia. I was enjoying it as well, I must say. Hey, can't say we don't have fun!

:rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2: That's funny! (poor kids being duped!)

Nab, yay on you basement being almost done! :thumbsup2

Sandy, no, not everyone hanging out on faceboook, just painfully slow here lately.

Cel, great for your brother being back home, but I am sure it's frustrating and scary not to know the cause. Horray for graduation!

I got home "early" tonight, at 7:30, yay! But I volunteered to work on some schedule, and went braindead after a couple of hours, so I gave up on it for tonight. But it was not mandatory, so I'm not worrying about it tonight. Probably another late night tomorrow, then we have a presentation to director Friday at 2, then hopefully we will be DONE! The goal is a 3 day weekend, then we should be back to a normal schedule.

Everyone

Nabbie - It's hard to come back to real life from vacation, isn't it? Glad you've managed to get your house cleaned back up and hope the renovations are done soon!!!

Sandy - My knees are still hurting from all the walking on uneven ground Sunday, but I'm not letting them stop me from exercising :goodvibes I had a pretty good workout last night. I had a different trainer last night and he kept on me about my form, so it was a little more taxing than usual. When you do things correctly, you sure can feel it more in your muscles :scared1:

And I had to laugh over your "stubborn chit" comment . . . I guess my reading material has been pretty similar to yours lately, LOL!

Peej - Glad you had fun at the concert! Seeing the dogs in costume was hilarious. I especially liked the chihuahua that was wearing the pointy princess hat!!! princess:

Cel - Thanks for the update on your brother  I know of at least a couple people who were restricted from driving after having seizures. It sure can make life difficult :guilty: CONGRATS to you on graduating Friday night :grouphug: There has been a number of posts on my weight loss discussion forum about how common addiction transfer is. Some people have developed a healthy "addiction" to exercising to fill that gap that is left when comfort eating is no longer available. That's what I'm striving toward! ;)

peej - hilarious about anastasia and your kids!

moo - I kept hoping exercise would become my obsession. hasn't worked so far!
in fact, I haven't exercised once since I took off from work! ugh!

tomorrow, no facebook!
so I've got to stay up late to get my farming, egg hunting and killun (in mafia wars) done tonight! :rotfl:
I can not facebook tomorrow until I have chapters in 3 of my 4 books read and two pairs of pants made.
eek!

I went to my last required AA meeting tonight! woo hoo!
I'm going to keep going, but this is the last one I had to have a paper signed.
my sponsor wants me to do 90 meetings in 90 days once I graduate from rehab. :scared1:

:yay:, moo..it's a pretty done deal, so you'll have to let us know
..if you like blt....& whether...or not we made a mistake. :rolleyes1

.....[ this wasn't something, we were planning on. however, the mono-
rail...is our favorite disney ride, during our 2007..christmas trip...we
spent all afternoon riding it,. ] ...we were visiting..the contemp.,
...where we stayed @ the northern wing- 06, when we realized....it was

missing...:scared1:...& replaced...with blt. . recently, we also
been planning out our retirement...& wanted to "give"..our children
something...disney. { i was thinking something..like a limited ed. pin,
but i guess...the lil' missy pie...had a bigger idea. }

so with all these pieces....coming together.......it jus seem to make sense.

...then to have the "hot~tub"..in the front room, near the kitchen...

combining man 2 favorite..pastimes...& fireworks, imagined + real....,
...my guess....it was a guy who invented..this selling concept?

:wizard:.

here's what we debat/decided.....sept, uy...because summer is our least
favorite,
& fall is our preferred times. you was right..about the points, 107 X 3 for
our 3 kids.

contary to the above popular belief, we chose..blt, for being near magic k.,
& the monorails...& the lake.....[ boats/water crafts.]

this was a good vacation...i got alot character autographs...& some
pictures..by themselves.....so i can add them to this year christmas
stockings..., we're doing for some local families.

[ i was alil' worry..after that story..where minnie was assaulted. :sad2:
....as you know, i consider charactizations...as an art form....& it soo
sad....how a few sick people can ruin...their work. especially what it
means...to children. to me, that the neatest thing,..about those bringing
the characters..to life? children don't need any explanation....as they
seen their movies....& the "insights"..are already...there. it just the
neatest thing...to watch, unfolding because the children feelings are
so...sincere. so....:cool2:, sooooo pixiedust: ]. really.

mental health..is very similar..except..we are on the other side. some
refer it as the dark side~:lmao: . not that i would take advantage..
....and work...errr, play it "up"...[ besides..being scolded..by silver
fairy?...the dirty old man from "up"..got his garden hose..on me,

. [ good thingy..i was quicker..than him}:confused3

..i gues..you all heard..bout the dj?....fyi, rx. abuse...isn't hard to
figure out..."before death", .....why, oh why...don't they listened to
nurses.....who know "exactly"..what we're talking about?! these
deaths..are preventable.

my opinion..about mj's death...yes, i believe..the md is guilty...jus like
any md...."the right to practice..med...contains self evident..responsibilites,

no matter..how much...a client threatens...you.

ohhh, backstager?.....fyi, regarding..."character/s + handlers...."prenvention",
is possible...if they are trained..to watch..."out"....for certain inappro.
behaviors...esp. observing "intrusive hand motions/movements."

..i read..where she knew..but didn't want to spoil..her obligation not
to break..out of character.....what a brave, caring young person. full
of courage. * someone, i hope express..to her, "it isn't your fault, when
another does you wrong....so she has nothing to feel bad about herself.
in reality, the body has the ability to heal, and the mind....only
can give...her true feelings for those she herself care for,..never stolen will
produced the important feelings...that some are always after..but have
no idea....that in order to recieve..they first must give....from the
heart.

psst.. how do i know?..because we were all given the same baseline

* which makes.."prefect sense"..if we are to be judge/....for example,

..if you tell me you're cold/hot/sad/happy...i know exactly what you
mean....by those same feelings....share by all. see why? wow!

...someone knew what they was doing..when they put us all together
...& gave us the gift..of life..& the abilities..to do with it, by our
choices.

& there..you have my mental health 101, the :teacher: part.

well...what do you expect.....afterall, psych, nurses do it with their feelings~

;)

I stole the bbn's trick and changed Hollywood's name to Anastasia in my phone. The kids were dying laughing as they thought they were texting Anastasia.

:snooty: Of course everybody DOES want to emulate me. It's understandable. Everybody steals my tricks, copies my posts, uses my jokes, and they take all the credit. It is enough for me to know that I am the original prankster.

And pinball champ.:rolleyes1

Cel: I'm so proud of you. Hang in there!

Marita: Your working too much. You need a vacation. Like to Disneyland.;)

Nab: welcome back

Lilg: psych nurses do it with their feelings? good to know. ha.

moo, allie, lynt, mony, sandy, et al: Hi gang!

Peej - Clever trick! borrowin' from the BBN, even smarter...:idea: I think it is great to have fun AND learn too.

CEL - Congrats on graduating from rehab, although I don't think I knew that fact. May have happened while I was MIA this summer. I'm helping you in MW as I can, I got yur back! ;):rotfl2:

Sandy - Yes, I'm addicted to all the games on FB. Usually that's where I am late at night. :rolleyes1

We have a gutter that has chosen to remove itself from our house, so I am interviewing gutter people. So does that mean I'm in the gutter? :lmao: Anyway, I'll be glad to get the pricing over with and get new gutters so that this one doesn't chose to totally let go, and happen to fall and break a window on its way down. Now you all know that WOULD happen to tornadosurvivingoosegirl! :rotfl2:

Mony-- your doing better then me with the math I am sure I am dreading grade 4 and 7 math....:lmao:

Celery-- way to go on finishing your AA. Probably a good idea to still go for the support. I tell my kids all the time no computer until your homework is done.

Moo-- can you get your shots now for your knees? My feet are starting to bug me because I have been wearing flat sandles all summer, I dread putting on running shoes again when it gets cooler. They feel funny.

Babynurse- nice to be back...thanks.

Still doing alot of back to school running around. Nicholas is stubborn and won't pick anything he needs. He told me I embarrassed him today because I was looking at underwear for him. He wouldn't let me buy them. He wants me to go by myself and pick them up......:confused3 It is not as if I took them out of the package and held them up. Just asked what colour he wanted.

My basement is almost finished....laundry room and washroom are completed. Need a fire place mantle to finish that corner with lights. Hubby has to touch up paint everywhere. We wanted a desk made for the office but that is on hold right now so the office room is finish just have to buy a cork board to cover the electrical panel. I see the light at the end of the tunnel.:woohoo:

Can I have a moment? I decided to check my work email before, which I usually don't do at home. I've been going back and forth with the principal about this kiddo (snack kiddo, actually) and I wanted to see if she said anything. I was listening to the radio and this song came on. I just started listening to the words and next thing I knew I was crying like a blubbering idiot. Most people probably don't know this song, but this is the part that got me:

What if he's an angel sent here from Heaven
And he's making certain that you're doing your best
To take the time to help one another
Brother are you gonna pass that test
You can go on with your day to day
Trying to forget what you saw in his face
Knowing deep down you could have been his saving grace
What if he's an angel

I can't get into the details with this kid but it's an abuse situation, and Child Protective Services is being useless. I feel like a horrible person sending him home every day. I just want to take him home with me and give him love and hugs and never let him go to his mom again. People who hurt kids are really just disgusting to me. I'm just feeling like I've failed him tonight but I've tried everything I know to do and I can't get any help. I really feel at a loss at the moment. I'm sorry, I think I just needed to write that out. :sad1: Sigh. Carry on.

PJ  That must be so very frustrating and sad!

Cel, way to go! :thumbsup2

Nab, yay for the light at the end!

Mony, I hear you on the math. It's a miracle that I ended up in Finance, LOL

Another 13 hour day today, I am sick and tired of it! Got home at 10 and worked for another 1.5 hours. Hopefully it will be over tomorrow!!!! I missed my subdivision TWICE driving home, I should really not be driving in the dark! Gonna try and crochet for a bit and get my mind relaxed, the home stretch tomorrow.

Peej - I think YOU are the :littleangel: he needs. Sorry you have to deal with this and feel helpless. :sad2: You are just what he needs though. It sounds like he doesn't have anyone that cares at home, and he will remember that Miss Lauren did when he gets older. You are doing a great thing by loving that boy everyday at school. ::yes::
